Mittrei preened. She had captivated the attention of a prince. A prince! A prince of paradise... or maybe snakes and bog, but it was the title that mattered. It was the... the bearing of one who had appreciation for their own lofty position. Like she did. She had been a princess once. No! She was still a princess!
She trotted along the forest path, head held high and mouth curved upwards in a smirk. She was in a good mood. She hadn't truly appreciated the attention of a male since the bumbling days of adolescence. Since then, she had done nothing but scorn the other sex and all their idiot habits. Obeah was different.

Haishan Fai. A name given to a gentleman of war with experience of blood, danger and corruption- three things that can turn even the purest of souls into a fraudulent b*****d. Of course for those who can survive the harsh world that is forever changing in constant battles and violence then something within them changes, a shield is placed up for the world to see in fear of the real self ever being harmed. That goes for Haishan Fai, yet these changes happened so gradually that even he did not realised they where forming.
Tree after tree he laboured past. Muddy water he stumbled through. Bubbling rivers he past. Until finally the cold began to dig deep within his bones, adjusting his wings gently he placed them into a more warming position- using them as an insulator from the bitterness of the breeze. Perhaps this was too much to ask of his fragile body to take after all he had been through in the past few days?
Heart heavy he nearly didn't notice the small butterfly like mare of sunshine yellow before him, she seemed to have an aura around her that told him she was pleased about something. Not exactly the enviroment he wanted to be around right now. But always the gentleman he cleared his throat and stood up tall, his face suddenly blank of all emotions. "Hello dear lady, I must say it is a beautiful day today- would you not agree?" Light conversation was always a speciality of Haishan's after all it was all he actually needed to get through his day not having any true friends.

It was Mittrei's good mood that kept her from giving the stranger a snippy reply immediately. Usually she disdained chance meetings and the small talk they inevitably provoked. Today though... today she'd tolerate it. The stallion was certainly interesting looking enough to merit some attention. He was a wind, that wasn't remarkable, but the way he decorated himself with feathers was the unusual aspect. Were those his own feathers? He plucked his own feathers to decorate himself with? That would take a certain sort of devotion...
"It is a lovely day," she agreed. She made no effort to keep her general smugness from her voice and figure. She had never felt any reason to humble herself. She stopped in her path primly, front hooves nearly touching. Beyond that, she said nothing. She waited, curious to see if this stallion's personality would live up to his bizarre appearance. If it didn't, good mood or not, she had no reason to linger.
