I always laugh when I hear about other people's lists of favorite J-Pop/J-Rock artists as Visual-Kei is very popular on these forms. Being in Japan for a while, I have picked up some bands beyond the scope of typical VK bands (and more mainstream, a lot of young kids know/like these bands in Japan).
They are: Mr. Children, Remeoremen, Bump of Chicken, Yui, Ikimonogakari, Funky Monkey Babys, GReeeeN, HY, Mihimaru GT, Perfume, and Yuzu. I also recommend Zwei as well, but they aren't well known as much.

I am bound to tell you of exist†trace and デンジャー☆ギャング (or rather, Danger☆Gang) seeing as I know someone in both bands (they are awesome :3). D'espairsRay (they've got a lot of various spellings) are great as well. And, um, how they aren't on your list I don't know but Malice Mizer and also Hizaki of Versaille's pre-Versailles project: Hizaki Grace Project. Incredible guitar work there.

Well, there is Miyavi (not a band but a pretty well known Jrock musician), Janne de' Arc, Acid Black Cherry, One Ok Rock, alice nine, An Cafe, Utada Hikaru, Aya, Kazuyuki Matsumoto, girugamesh, and Koda Kumi.
The ones bolded are those that I recommend. But, it just depends on your taste too haha.

I think you'll like the GazettE. Their early stuff were good punk stuff and their newer stuff is like Nu-metal.

If you want to hear some great guitar work try IRON ATTACK! or demetori. I'd also recommend X Japan and if you want something more traditional sounding the Yoshida Brothers.
