((Sorry guys, this is an rp between Ama Galu'nadi and Tsi'hilu Waya. Only DFA and Angie can post in here.))

Ama sniffed around as he stepped within the borders of the Ela'wadiyi lands once more. He'd struck out ahead of his mother to make sure the path was clear, and that none of the heathen prides that ran them out of their original home had arrived within their lands once more. It had been a worry of Ama'a for some time as they trekked back across the southlands, returning home once more. Though, not to worry his mother, the large male disguised it as a small trek to see if he could find In'ali's trail, as they were crossing into the same area himself and the wanidatsi crossed over not that entirely long ago. Upon having seen the ]wandidatsi had disappeared from behind him, Ama had had a creeping feeling that the elder had never really been there at all...

Letting out a soft roar in frustration, Ama swung his head at his shoulder, irritated at the slight limp he carried even now. The strain of pushing himself to get back home wasn't helping it, but it wasn't hindering the limb either. At least now he could walk on it. Grumping at himself, the loneliness of his terrain, and everything else under the sun, the Sky Clan male sat down heavily in the dusty sand.

Nervous aquamarine eyes shifted from side to side, ears shiftig to capture every sound as the small lioness padded her away across the land; the river lay somewhere to her right, not too far, not too near. After having been seperated from her clan, the young one had been forced to survive on her own. A difficult task at best... even more difficult if one took into account the shiled Tsi had built around herself whilst in her parents' care; she had been forced to crawl out of her shell in order to grab what little food she could access. Scavanging had become the usual for her as days became weeks; tell truth, it had been little more than a couple of weeks since she'd become lost, and even though she'd searched high and low for her parents and brother, she had been unable to find trace of any of them.

Perhaps they too had gotten lost... that was the only real reason her childish logic was able to supply to her as time went by, however, even that idea was put aside as hunger made her growl softly; the uncomfortable sensation of caryying on on an empty stomach had been present for quite some time, for she was too small to really hunt, and had not been taught... she had merely been a cub when she had gotten lost. What little she could hunt provided very little food, and the few courpses she found dried up contained little that others had not allready eatten. Even access to water was hard to gain, for even though the sound of the not-so-distant river could still be heard, it was dangerous due to the crocodiles that roamed it.

Licking her chomps slightly, the youth let out a soft sight, sitting down on the ground as she let her head hang. She was unsure how much further she could go on alone. Reality had hit her allready not too long ago; she was going to die if she didn't find her clan soon...

It was then a soft roar interrupted her thoughts. It was a sound she hadn't heard in weeks, and soon enough, her ears perked, relief, curiosity and pehaps a little fear reaching her heart; a lion. There was someone there, not far at all! However, even though it could mean salvation, it could also mean death. Torn for few moments, the female shifted her ears back and forth, devating what to do. Curiosity won over though, and swiftly, she stood up, her padding turning into a steady run till she could see a siluette in the near distance.

After all... even if the adult killed her, it'd be allright; she was going to die soon enough without help anyhow, so what had she to lose?

The siluette became a male lion, which she swiftly approached, making sure to keep her ears lowered and body near to the ground, submissive. She never talked though, instead she allowed a soft sound to rumble through her, indicating her presence when she was near enough; the sound could have resembled a soft purr, or growl, a lingering whine intermixed with it.

Lost in thought, the grumpy male turned his head back behind him to see if his followers where anywhere near, but they weren't. He hoped that his mother was alright, but knew she was a grown lion and could handle herself for a little while at least. Still, he couldn't help but worry about her. He'd lost his father, a brother and a sister before they arrived in these lands, and possibly his only other sister as well. Us'kali was all he had left and he certainly didn't want to lose her as well. Sighing, the large lion swung his head back in front of him, his deep green eyes scanning the landscape around him, looking for a sign, ANY sign that someone might be around. Hell, at this point he'd take one of the Darkfire pride to nothing.

His feathered ear perked up at the sound of another's strange throaty mewls. Slowly into focus a small white fluff inched near, seeming so familiar. But in the wavering heat around them, the white coat seemed to glow, though dirty, as if she were a ghost. Ama blinked in surprise and wuffled in warning. The posture of the small one though, is what convinced Ama that this was nothing but a small frightened little one, lost and alone.

Without meaning to, Ama's gruff voice cut the silence around them. "Young one, who are you, to be out here all alone?" In the back of his mind, Ama couldn't help but wonder why this young one seemed so familiar to him.

Upon hearing the male's voice, the cub instantly winced; a gesture she hadn't truly meant to exhibit, tell truth, couldn't keep herself from doing. It'd been the first voice she'd heard in such a long time...

Answering the voice though, was a diferent story. She had always had slight comunication problems and thus, she seemed to visibly struggle with herself as she looked up towards the adult, then back down, ears shifting to signal her trouble, "Tsi'hilu..." her voice was worn out, ragged from missuse, for the youth had not really spoken a word in weeks; there was no one out there to listen after all, and tell truth, she'd never liked talking.

Tsi had always dreamed of being left alone... not having her parents or brother to talk to... having no one to bother her into comunicating, and now that she had experienced said 'dream', she'd deemed it a nightmare. In fact, her experience had pushed her to promise to herself that were she to find her parents again, or anyone, for that matter, she'd try her best to talk... she'd overcome her problem. That sole word spoken to Ama, (though probably meant nothing to him, for truthfully... the youth wasn't expecting him to really know whom she was), was indeed a start.

Ama blinked at the little one's single word, mulling it over in his mind. The word sounded like a name...and a somewhat familiar one at that. Where had he heard that name before... And then suddenly it hit him. "Tsi'hilu Waya?" Truth was, he didn't know the girl, but while the pride was getting ready to gather their own clan and head to the Star Grove, he'd heard her name in passing. With so few family members left at that point in time, the lion had made a mental note to remember the little lioness' name so that he could greet her at the Star Grove meeting. The Fates, however, changed that journey into horror. Yet here she was, at least, he didn't think she'd lie about her identity, in front of him at this time. And if this little one had survived, did that mean the others had as well?

Without thinking, the big Sky Clan male bounded over to Tsi and gently placed a paw on her shoulder. Even if he didn't know this young one, he couldn't help but feel compassion for her. Certainly she had to have been alone, to be in the condition that she was in at the moment. His heart ached to see one of such beauty in such rough shape. "Tsi.... it's alright. You're safe with me. My name is Ama Galu'nadi, son of the adu'ladi of the Sky Clan, Us'kali Galu'nadi." Gently pulling the juvenile to him, Ama was easy enough that she could back away if she liked. "You're safe now, little one."

"Alone..." she rasped suddenly, "No one's here.... searching... so long... lost," it suddenly seemed as if the events of the past few weeks had come crashing down upon her, and her breathing became ragged, labored, as if she were trying her hardest not to cry, specially as the older male pulled her to him. She instantly sank her head into his furr, rubbing her forehead against him; first contact she'd had with anything other than bones, trees and rocks in weeks.

Inhaling strongly, she took in his scent, and though it wasn't recognisable... it was somewhat familliar in a way she could not define, "Lost everyone," taking in a deep breath, she tried to calm herself enough to give him some sort of information to use; it was clear he was from Ela too... he might know where her parents and brother were, "Chases something, lost.... can't find them," turning her head to look up, she directed a pityful glance at him, pleading for him to understand, "Where...? Wolf clan..."

Even though she tried, it wasn't her fault she truly couldn't talk well; she'd need time to practice afterall... however, the fact she WAS trying, and was working hard to talk must've at least given her some sort of points. She'd never be silent again, for she'd lived in a silent hell for a long time now. She wanted out.

Blinking at the sudden actions by Tsi, Ama kept his paw around the young lass. Hugging her close, he did his best, ackward as it may be, to comfort her. Her broken sentences and rough voice gave truth to the fact that she'd been alone far too long. "It's alright little one...." Ama understood she was asking if he knew where her family was, but he had nothing to tell her. No news for certainty that they were alive or dead. All he could offer her was his comfort and protection. But how could he tell her he didn't know? She looked so starved for knowledge of her family... But if he were to say they were alive, and they weren't, sshe would surely have problems trusting him and trust was something they all needed right now.

"I know not of your family Tsi. I know not of my own family, little one. All I know is that I am alive, and my mother, Us'kali, lives. We are going home. Home to the Star Grove, in hopes of finding others who might be searching, just as yourself. Will you come with us, to see if your family is looking for you?" The big guy couldn't bear to say that they might be dead, better to keep up hope than dwell on the morbid side of things. Leaning back slightly from the little one, Ama raised her chin gently with his paw so that he could look into her eyes. "Keep hope little one."

His mind flickered briefly to his mother and how she'd want to know that this little one survived the harshness of the land. For her to know that a young one of such beauty still survived would hopefully give his mother hope that others would be alive as well. They would need to head back towards 'kali soon, to give her the good news. But right now, easing the little one's fear and sadness was what he needed to do most of all.

It was unsure if the female truly understood what Ama tried to tell her, for her lack of food and water had made her mind slightly fuzzy, however, she nodded somewhat and offered him a weak smile; even if he didn't know where they were, that didn't mean they were dead. Her parents were strong, and though her brother was hotheaded, he was strong too... perhaps with luck, they had left towards this 'Star groove' the male was talking of, long ago.

Perhaps they were waiting for her and she had been roaming endlessly for no reason at all. Perhaps it would all be better now... perhaps things would look up soon.

"Thank you..." still smiling, she pulled away from him, as if to give him back his space, however as soon as she sat down, her stomach made act of presence and growled rather horribly. Her smile instantly vanish, and her head turned to look down at her pale white belly, for though it was indeed marred by dust and dirty with grime... it was still quite white, and nothing a good grooming would inevitably fix, "Hungry," she stated sheepishly as a simply explanation, her ears shifting, aiming towards him.

Allready the young one's mood had become quite smooth, and though not exactly cheery or bouncy like many cubs, she seemed truthfully happy to see him indeed, the sadness having been replaced by a wave of cool and quite refreshing hope. It was then it hit her; the male had mentioned a word that she had heard her parents speak of, however, being a mere cub, she'd never really seeked the meaning of, "Adu'ladi?" a sole word inquiry as she twisted her body look behind him, confussed suddenly. Where was this other he had spoken of? His mother?

Ama could hear the question in her voice, and nodded gently. "An adu'ladi is an elder lioness who is head of a clan. One who speaks for the clan on certain issues when the clans meet together. Your mother is adu'ladi if I remember right, young one. They are wise lioness', young one. When you grow older, you too might end up adu'ladi of the Wolf Clan." Smiling gently upon the young lioness, Ama nuzzled her. "Now, shall we do something about that hungry little tummy?" Chuckling at her noisy stomach, Ama couldn't help his own as it answered hers. "I suppose we're both hungry, Tsi. Let's see if we can't find ourselves a little zebra foal to dine upon, what do you say?"

The lioness' ears twitched, her head tilting one way, then towards the other, almost as if by doing so she'd further understand the adult's words... however, she didn't uite understand the concept behind such terms, and thus merely offered him a shy smile; it was better to let it go... it wasn't like this was the first time she'd not understood something. Tell truth, Tsi rarely if ever understood most of what went on, for she lived in her own private little dreamland, in a way, "Dinner is good..." were her words, her emerald eyes closing as she intensified her gratitude with a purr.

The sound rumbled through her chest till she paused, looking away, hooded gaze scanning over the savana; there was no one else in sight... it was the story of the past weeks. No one there, nor her mother, nor her brother... nor her father.

A sigh replaced the purr before she finally focussed her gaze back 'pon the adult male, her eyes questioning him silently; how was he going to get this foal anyhow? did he know any secre technique she knew not? After all, we're talking about a lioness that'd barely survived on rotting corpses and the few insects she'd managed to catch... such things could barely be called meals, "Others... where?" there were more clans than the wolf clan, they had to all be somewhere, yet no matter how much she'd searched, she'd found not said clans, not even mommy's friend's clan.
