The Sky. It was always such a beautifully painful thing for the mare to look at as she stood with four hooves planted firmly on the ground. The long blades of meadow grass tickled her legs as the breeze brushed her hair away from her face and neck. Pastel blue tipped feathers quivered under the soft breeze, as if squirming to spread out and fly into that wild blue yonder.
"Why can't I be normal..." She huffed softly, shaking her head as she continued to walk along the barren trail which held on one side a lush forest and the other a wide open meadow. How would she ever claim her independance from her parents if she couldn't seize the single most important asset of being a wind soquili...flying! She had been the only child of her parents to get the gift of her mother...yet sometimes she thought it would be more beneficial of her siblings to have them.
"They might use them..." She honestly was surprised they hadn't fallen off or soemthing...
"Well Zaiella....if you're ever going to go on grand adventures or simply move out from Mom and Dad's thicket, the sky is where you need to go!" narrowing her eyes in determination from her self proclaimed pep talk, the mare spread her wings out as wide as she could as she faultered slightly from the resistance she recieved from the wind.
Gulp.
"Okay...here we go..." Lunge......lunge.....a bit of hesitation....RUN! Bolting into the meadow, she began to flap her wings in a manic desperation untill, dear lord; the girl was airborn! "Ahhhhh, ohhhhhhhh my!" She yelped out, and continued to flap like some injured bird trying to stay airborn. Unfortunate for the mare, the wind up above the treelines was much stronger than that on the ground...making quick time of pushing the strugling mare over the trees and with a slow decent as she was quick to realize she didn't know how to even land. With a paniced cry, the oh so graceful mare flew right into a willow tree and quite efficiently became a utter tangled mess along the long vines. Ensnared and trapped hanging above the small forest stream, Zaiella felt as if she could cry out in defeat or utter frustration at this whole mess, at the mess which was her life.
"At least...no one is here to laugh at me." She sniffled, unable to even use her wing to wipe away the few teardrops which rolled down her cheeks. God she would be living with her parents till she was an elder at this rate!

Racardo was fed up of the same old things happening day after day, being the oldest son of Estelle and Ayden he always felt it was his duty to stay close to home to protect his family at a moments notice- that and to approve any potential mate his elder sisters may intent to bring home. Yet a part of him wished to get away for a while, to be free.
The seasons seemed to be changing again from spring to summer, and the plants and animals of the world were in full bloom –delicate colours mixing and fading for as far as the eye could see upon the field that stretched out before him. Each step seemed effortless as he ventured forward towards the bumbling river that flowered elegantly through the land, it was a calming reminder that things could change suddenly –after all the river was always changing, meandering and twisting through the land like a beast hungry for more. If only he had such power, the power to control the elements, to twist them and manipulate them to his every whim. Of course that was not his destiny.
Consumed by his thoughts he never noticed the colourful blue mare lifting up into the air nearby, it wasn’t until he heard a long ‘ah and oh’ sound that he snapped out of it and looked to the sky, to begin with he thought that it was a bird trapped by the twirling wind until his eyes adjusted to see things for what they where. High above the trees was a dainty looking mare of blue, yellow and white –but something was wrong, she seemed to have been caught by an unexpected wind that was causing her to plummet back to the ground and before he knew what he was doing he was running. Running towards her. Heart racing. Breath heavy, but with a determination hidden behind his eyes.
Closing in on her position he found himself pausing for a moment to take in the sight of a beautiful mare trapped within the branches of a willow tree. It seemed he was undetected as she spoke, and so not to cause her more distress he spoke in a calming but deep tone, "I am not here to laugh at you." Moving slowly forward her bowed his head a little before speaking once more, "I actually want to help you out of this mess- if that’s ok with you?" He gave her a cheeky smile and wink before moving closer still to examine the mess that trapped the mare. It was then he noticed the slivery tears trickling down her face, yet being a gentleman and not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable he chose not to speak of it. He hated to see mares cry, it brought back memories of his sister Astral being abandoned by someone she thought loved her- he could never do that to anyone. After all he had been brought up better than that.

"When you reach the top, often you just have to throw yourself off in order to get anything done. Nothing will happen if you quiver on the edge."
Such wise words from her beloved father seemed to be wasted on a daughter like her...if only she had been the groundling while her sister inherited their mother's beautiful wings. Zindaiya was just like their father, tough, courageous, and headstrong. She would take on anything and win, never giving up, never surrendering. Surely her sister would benefit from wings being the warrior she was, and not have them get dusty from a failure like she.
Depression did not suite the mare at all, but it was the closest thing she had to a friend to date. It always seemed to come right back around, and stay for long periods of lonliness when her family was out living their lives.
Stripped from her train of thought, wide teary eyes snapped towards Racardo in what seemed like embarassed horror. Someone had seen, and worse off they came over! Kicking out to try and free herself, it only seemed to backfire as a few vines broke to cause her remaining 'chains' to create more pressure and pull on her body. Not to mention her one wing had been snagged near the base where wing met body...a hold which was quite painfully stretching the delicate wing.
"I....don't wish to spend my life here till fall comes to dry out the fauna....please, help me down..." Zaiella all but wimpered slightly, as much as pride was something of a staple in her family....she knew it would do no good here while at the mercy of a kind stranger.
However, Zaiella couldn't shake the idea that someone had actually taken the time to come help her since usually she never ran into another while on her walks. It just seemed strange that this one suddenly appeared like that! Maybe, just maybe...her luck was at least starting to turn around. Forcing a small, grateful smile to the yellow and ebony stallion, the mare watched in wonder at how he planned to get her down from the tree.

Pausing for a moment Racardo allowed her to try and free herself only to find himself wincing as the vines that entangled her pulled tighter around her delicate and fragile frame. He needed to get her out of this mess but was unsure he could manage it without causing her more pain. There seemed to be a large clump of vines together on her side, and several tricky vines trapping other important components –her wing for one and he was sure that he could see a small amount of blood pooling over the vine. Moving towards her he raised his font legs up and placed them onto the trees thick bark, bracing himself for what was needed.
"I am sorry if this hurts a little, I promise I will help you find some healing plants after you are free!" He offered her a delicate smile before moving his mouth closer to her side to take the clump of vines there into his mouth. Bracing himself and hoping that she would not be plunged into more pain by his actions he counted to three before tugging as hard as his body could manage away from the tree. It took a few moments; and his stance upon the tree was broken causing him to balance on his hind legs as he moved backwards- but finally he felt the vines begin to break and snap under his strength. New motivation bubbled within him as he pulled even harder and finally they broke. Losing his balance Racardo found himself being thrown backwards and hitting the floor with a thump.
The pain showed on his face for a moment before he caught himself and forced his body to stand once more so that he could check on the mare once more, "Is that better? Are you still trapped?" Only time would tell if she was still trapped, and as he examined every inch of her body looking for more vines he wondered why someone so beautiful was out on her on such a beautiful day.

Perhaps not moving now would be the best thing she could do for herself since her little escape plan had backfired so brilliantly. Curiously she continued to try and see into the stallion's mind, to foresee his plan...since anything at this point would be an improvement from the current situation. Once he raised to a two legged position against the tree, a look of concern crossed her cerulean features....what if the vines snapped too soon and she crashed right ontop of him? Given she was a relatively small mare, the weight was still something no one wanted to come falling onto one's spine.
"Carefull..." She breathed, not realizing she was holding her breath once the stallion began to pull at her vines...soon feeling the sharp pulling against her skin. Wincing as she bit her lip and tried not to cry out, the important thing was to get down...and if she had to endure a little pain in order to do so then she would without a second thought! Such a task was rather difficult as the pull and rubbing of the vine cut the base of her wing further....sincerely hoping that it wouldn't rip off in the process!
"Ahhhh...Keep going! I think its working!" The sky hued mare gasped, hearing the snapping of a few vines under the strain, and before she knew it she had swung back as the stranger fell to the ground with a thump.
....but she still remained.
"What....but I surely thought that it would wor-" Zaiella barely was able to finish her sentence when a series of snaps dropped the mare back to her sweet precious ground with a mighty thud of her own, yelping softly at the sting of impact before her restraints fell ontop of her in a lame heap. A quick shake of her head to toss aside the vines allowed her to glance at her wing to see if it was still intact, then to the tree where she'd been moments before, to the stallion who's saved her.
"Well I'm not now..." Musing softly as her vocals giggled, her head tilted to the side as a warm smile graced her lips. "I can't begin to think of how I can repay you in thanks....It was very kind of you to come help me out..." No matter how humiliating...

Racardo’s jaw dropped as she fell to the ground, all he wanted to do was rush towards her and some how cushion her fall –she had been through so much pain already for one day, and the silent whimpers he had heard while trying to free her haunted his thoughts. Yet this feeling passed as she spoke, her voice seemed so much calmer now and there was a gentle softness behind her laugh that lifted his spirits. Why? How could such a noise have an effect over him. Coughing softly to clear his throat and mind he looked to her once more and smiled. His voice came out soft but held a worried tone, "think nothing of it; I am just happy you are free once more. I remember when I got trapped as a foal- I would have been there all night if a stranger hadn’t helped me."
Moving slowly towards her he looked her up and down checking for marks or wounds or any other kind of injury. "Are you ok? Would you like for me to fetch you some healing plants?" Looking to her face once more he smiled his cheeky-but-dopey smile. "Name’s Racardo, what may I call you?" Well it seemed that today was certainly turning out to be far more interesting than usual.

Zaiella was glad to hear that there were still good soquili out there, after many a story from her grandfather and her lack of pretty lifeless days alone...she'd begun to think of it all as fairytales of old. If it wasn't for this stallion, she'd surely be stuck in the tree for the rest of the day at least. From when she could first comprehend and learn she'd been enrolled in her father's bootcamp for survival, which had left little time for socialization and experiences but it kept her safe and out of trouble. Still, Zaiella could feel the butterflies swarm in her stomach, only hoping that she wasn't acting like a complete fool.
It was indeed a pleasant and rare surprise when she'd actually have company, since her family was often too busy.
"I believe so..." The mare struggled for a moment to get to her feet, and with a mix of wiggling and pulling the vines off, she was at last free of every last vine. Taking a good look at herself she spotted a good sized laceration at her wing joint, yet it wasn't wide enough that it wouldn't heal with time. Along her ribcage were lines of slightly balding patches where the vines had rubbed and pulled against her skin...leaving bruises under her blue pelt. The only other thing was a bump on her head from the fall...yet all of them would heal with time and in her mind, she came off pretty lucky.
At least it was this kind soul who found her and not some predator in store for an easy meal.
"Oh!" Flushing softly she shook her head swiftly, surely he'd done quite enough for her that she need not burden him further with fetching her healing plants. "Really, its no trouble. I feel much better now that im back on the ground." Smiling sheepishly, she folded her wings against her side to keep them from moving.
"Racardo....its a pleasure, really." That lopey smile was really cute though, it suited him well! "My name is Zaiella...I don't really have a nickname so you can call me whatever you like!"

Racardo watched as the mare stumbled to her feet, even though she struggled a little there was a hidden grace laced within her movements flowing like water, the feathers of her wings ruffled gentle in the wind and her fur was swept back making her look a little bedraggled –but he found it strangely appealing. Giving her room to examine herself he simply watched and waited, something about her reminded him of his eldest sister Astral. She had always tried to teach him how to talk to a lady, how to act and what was considered acceptable. His entire family believed that everyone deserved to be treated with respect and honour no matter their breed or personality, though he had to admit that some of the soquili he had met made such actions incredibly difficult. One in particular stood out –an evil Kalona with a terrible attitude, he saw mares simply as a means to expand his gene pool –a thought that Racardo found disgusting. It was because of this encounter that Racardo knew he wanted to find a mare who he could love with all his heart and soul and be able to trust her to stand by him forever like Estelle stood by his father Adyen. Just the very thought of touching a mare who had been touched by another stallion made his stomach cringe. Of course if they had been forced that was different, no mare should be punished because of something that was not their fault. Rape was another deed that turned his stomach- he could never justify such actions.
When she stood up to her full form he noticed how dainty she was in comparison to him, a truly delicate and dainty looking mare. And as he cheeks turned to a soft rosy red with her words he couldn’t help but laugh, a low chuckle rolling over his tongue before he caught himself and pursed his lips tightly shut once again, his eyes looking apologetic again for the stupidity of his actions. Yet as she finished speaking he softened again and spoke with a serious tone, "I assure you that it is no trouble. I am happy you like being back on the ground." Playfully he stomped his hind legs into the soft earth, "I know I find myself at home when my hooves are firmly placed on the ground." He offered her a kind smile again.
Zaiella... it was a pretty name and it seemed to suit her. It floated off her tongue just like he imagined she would float over the breeze and above the clouds. "Nicknames..." He had never been given one either, though something told him that he would dislike being called anything other than Racardo- except perhaps by a mate who loved him and used it as an endearment? He wasn’t sure; no one had ever tried to call him anything other than Racardo before. "...I must say that I think your name is too beautiful to shorten. Though I suppose Ella would be acceptable?" He shrugged his shoulders a little, it seemed she wanted a nickname, but he didn’t know enough about her to manage it successfully.
Looking for a distraction he turned to look back in the direction he had ventured from moments before, "I was going to get a bite to eat before your stumble," he paused and turned to look at her again, the same cheeky-dopey smile peeled upon his face, "would you care to join me? I would feel better if you allowed me to keep an eye on you for a while."

Oh how foolish did it sound to hear that a wind, one blessed with the ability to touch the very extent of the skies, would call home planted firmly on the ground. Given Racardo probably was jesting her a little with that comment, she honestly wondered what he would indeed think to hear of an adult wind who could not fly. Being trapped by a set chance of fate was one thing of embarassment, yet willing and knowingly not taking the time to learn simply because she did not wish to was another story. Perhaps one which he wouldn't be able not to laugh at, and for some reason that put an uneasy feeling in her gut.
"Ah, yes, well it is a fantastic place to be." The only place if one was without wings!
Ella... Dropping her gaze to her hooves for a moment she wondered if it was visible that she was clearly flustered by him, that his words of flattery be in sincere or just formalities was starting to get to her. Like a late cherry bud amongst a tree of beautiful blossoms, the little mare had yet to even develop a crush which was bound to be unrequited let alone have a male (which yes...she'd finally noticed to allow those young feelings shine through) compliment her like that. Wasn't he aware what heroic actions and gentle words could do to a young mare's heart?
"Mo-Most definately! I see no problem....its a very cute name!" Honestly, she adored the nickname. She might have indeed been fishing for one since her family had been named all Z's....so to keep with tradition everyone was usually called by the full name. Yet while her father would call his mother Zari, and she call him Zev...her siblings and her simply retained their names...Zigmund, Zaiella and Zindaiya.
Was he...inviting her to breakfast? As he turned around to the way he must have been heading, she shot him a suspicious look which lasted only a few moments....Racardo must have just been one of those kind stallions. She was questioning everything he said and twisting it out of context...yes that was it! Besides, the day had already been a blessing to at least have some company! Surely she could not be that lucky!
"I would love to...." The mare beamed as she trotted up to his side to stroll, grinning at that goofy smile on his face. "All that failing has made me hungry I must admit!" Another bout of sheepish laughter broke through her lips, no need to be down when she was in good company.

Racardo wasn’t entirely sure what was wrong but something seemed to be hidden behind her expression and words –something that she kept secret. Though he never mention it, knowing that they didn’t know each other yet and such questions where likely to make the atmosphere harsh and stiff. Instead he showed restraint, hoping that with time things would reveal themselves.
Unsure of what her reaction meant he was uncertain whether or not she liked the nickname he had given- after all it was not something he did usually. Yet even as he wondered about that he noticed a softness light her features, a delicate smile steals its way upon her lips, and despite her effort to hide her face from him he felt a warmth being emitted from within her. Perhaps he had nothing to worry about after all? This was confirmed by her words, and in turn he felt his own mood lighten. Again the familiar smile was peeled upon his face.
Playfully he moved his tail back and forth, swishing at the air with a very nonchalant attitude as he began to walk back towards his favourite breakfast spot, something about this spot and the exposure to the sun seemed to make the fruit extra delicate and juicy. Of course such conditions also meant that the plant produced a lot of fruit- which usually made it a popular eating ground for mothers and foals learning to eat solids. As she spoke to him, Racardo felt that for the first time she was actually being playful in return, her words seemed far less serious than they had mere moments before. "I must count myself lucky- it’s not every day a stallion such as myself gets to save a fallen angel." And as he finished he turned his head and gave her a wink before playfully nudging her with his nose. She was a lot smaller than him, and as they stood side by side the difference was striking, yet that just seemed to evoke some protectiveness within him that he never knew existed.
Not wanting to freak her out Racardo decided that it was best to play a game, and before he could control himself he found he reverted back to his youthful self and his favourite game. "Tell you what.... I will race you to breakfast." His smile grinned as an interesting idea popped into his head, "if you win then I will leave you to yourself" he winked at her, "But if I win then I get to ask you to do one thing for me. Deal?" His heart was light and hopeful and each step seemed to have an added spring to it as he prepared himself to run. The fruit trees and bushes where near the centre of field, and at this time of the day the field would be fairly empty of its sleepy occupants- meaning they wouldn’t have to worry too much about stray foals wandering into their path.

Zaiella, completely unprepared for a comment of THAT nature, to be compared to an angeni (since they were angels in the closes sense) was simply...well, Shocking. Terrible at hiding it, the strange expression of disbelief was written all over her face before quickly looking back to the ground. If only their was a pool of water to dunk her head in, for she feared the red hue of her face from under her pelt was starting to make her feel like she was sweating.
"Oh hush....any type of Angel would surely...well, fall in a more graceful spot." She'd only seen an Angeni once, but the haunting way their every step sounded like heavenly bells and their angelic frames just screamed anything but a clumsy, fumbling, sky falling mare that Zaiella knew she was! None the less it was certianly nice on her burning ears to know at the very least he was trying to make her feel better from before. The fall having been witnessed certianly knocked her confidence down a few notches. His nudge and that playful wink that complimented that endearing smile of his didn't go without concequence, as that increasingly familliar flutter of her belly caused the little mare to squirm slightly under the attention.
"R...ace?" Taken back, her soft cerulean orbs glanced up to the stallion...having never noticed the sheer size difference between them as she barely hit his chin with her head. Although her father was a larger stallion as well, it was a different feeling to be beside someone so powerful and raw than being with someone who'd you'd grown up knowing the power and dominance. Pursing her lips together as she listened politely, Zaiella could have laughed at the proposal. It wasn't a question of wether she won or lost, it was more of a question of if she was willing to try and if she wanted to chance doing whatever the stallion had in mind. With her wing running would be difficult, and definately without any flying abilities she had no chance against this powerful brute.
None the less, she owed him...and she always did love the wind in her mane when she ran. "Deal....but under one condition." She flicked her head back in a coy manner, trotting infront of him to stop him in his tracks. "I don't think its very fair that i'm running to a place I don't know...so to get there i'd have to follow you. So, You tell me where this place is, and I get a ten second head start. Its only fair." Stomping her hoof lightly, she gave him a knowing look as she had to crane her head up to even look him in the eye. Surely it was easier to take faster, longer strides when one was tall.
"If the conditions are met, then its a deal." Closely tucking her wings against her to keep the shaking of her wound to a minimum, Zaiella prepared to run the moment he finished expaining where their breakfast spot was. After all, she had to exploit any means to give herself a fighting chance at this race.

He found himself laughing warmly as she told him to hush, not many outside of his own family seemed to take such familiar tones with him- and he had to admit to liking it. He never made a comment towards her words, feeling that doing so would undermine her in some way and he didn’t wish to make her feel like that around him.
Instead he turned his attention back towards the prospect of a race, and despite her conditions he found himself intrigued. Of course if she had been his sister such an offer would have been lunacy on his behalf- after all she was quicker and more agile than him and somehow always managed to beat him despite the apparent strength in his limbs. Standing still so that she could get ahead of him, he smiled sweetly and flexed the muscles in his front legs before preparing to answer her- after all if this was the same trick his sister would play it was likely she would dart away as quickly as possible in an effort to win. His competitive juices raged.
"DEAL!" He smirked and then signalled with his head the green bushes and trees that where just visible in the distance. "Our location can be the apple tree near the centre- it bears red fruit!"
(Assuming here that she bolts on him XD)
Taking a breath for a moment he closed his eyes and started to count, while preparing his pose to start the chase. He had no desire to allow her to win- he wanted to win his prize after all. "1 – 2 – 3- 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 - 8 – 9 - 10!" As soon as the number ten stumbled from his lips his body roared to life and his leg muscles ripped beneath his weight as he ventured forward, picking up speed with each step. He would catch her up- no matter the cost.

Wasting no time, her eyes flew over the scenery before him as he explained to try and quickly pinpoint the location of her destination. The bushes...found. The trees, found...and while some still held sour unripe fruit amongst their branches she figured that she would simply need to located the red apples amongst the green leaves. Sounded simple enough? A dead on straight sprint towards the trees before a bit of manuvering around trees and bushes and the race would be over. She could do that!
Now, Zaiella had no real intentions on winning either, why on earth would she want to send away the only company she'd ever had? However thanks to her parents determination she wasn't going to be completely schooled and would give this stallion a run for his apples.
A mere second after fruit had left his lips the mare hurled forwards in a dead sprint, her hooves clicking against the ground as her frame allowed for brilliant aerodynamics. The wind ripped through her ivory and sun kissed locks, a feeling of sheer bliss as it allowed her heart to soar where her wings dare not carry her. Subconsiously Zaiella counted to ten and once she reached her final second of a head start she tossed her head back to see the stallion fast on her trail. "Catch me if you can!" She hollared back with a light hearted laugh, putting the proverbial petal to the metal as her body kicked into high gear to send her soaring across the path. From the distance of his hoofbeats to her she could tell that he was already catching up, and at this pace it would be a close call - just how she wanted it.
Perhaps she could have gone faster and maybe, just maybe won...but how her bruised torso screamed at her to stop this foolishness and allow her body rest...she would have none of that. The trees began to close in fast for the mare, and in her new distance she could see the red beacons of apples amongst the center tree in the woodland thicket.

He watched her elegant fluid movements and the way her rump wriggled from side to side under her powerful movements, yet she seemed a little laboured- almost injured? Perhaps she had been left with a few more battle wounds from her fall than he had first anticipated, yet she was she still trying which meant that he would also try, it was not in his nature to concede a defeat to a worthy opponent so lightly. And boy was she worthy, colour and bright with a spark of intelligence and fun- who could resist befriending her?
His legs tightened with his movements; and his breath shallow as he saw the finish line so tantalisingly close- all he needed to do now was to pass her and win the race. He was so close, his large strides easily out running her own despite her clear speed and agility advantage and as he neared her he took the opportunity to taunt her just a little, a cheeky wink and smile as he returned her earlier words, "Catch me if you can!"
Passing her he used the last of his strength and energy to sprint towards the finish line, manoeuvring expertly among the bushes and trees- after all he had run this race many times before with his siblings, even his mother had once attempted to race him. He felt at home running, not because of the power he felt as his muscled rippled and moved, but rather the freedom he felt, he imagined it was almost like flying- it was the closest he would ever get to it at least.
The goal came closer and closer until finally he turned his body to allow his rump to tag the tree and prove his winning position, and as he turned he was surprised by just how close behind him she had been- she could have won! It was a concept that amused him slightly; perhaps she had actually let him win? An alien concept to him, but one he had seen his brothers do for their mares many a time- perhaps she was actually curious about his request? A goofy looking smirk spread of his lips as he took a step closer to her, "I believe I won... and so you need to do something that I ask!" His grin widened and his eyes sparkled as his mind ran over the different requests he could make, of course there was only one that seemed to appeal to him in that moment. Only one that he really wanted- especially after she continued to race while clearly injured. "I-" he hesitated, maybe this was too blunt a request? After all they had only just met. Of course his mothers words chose that moment to annoy him Nothing Ventured, Nothing gained, it was a saying that had proved itself to him so many times before, perhaps it would serve him now also? Gulping for a moment, a soft red flush spreading over his golden yellow cheeks making it look as if the sun had given him terrible sunburn, he spoke, voice half trembling. "-request that you give me a kiss!"

When was he going to catch up? As she reached the trees she wasn't able to look back unless she wanted to add more bruises to her collection by running into a tree. So when his words finally reached her ears and she could glance to her side to see the large sun hued stallion at her side she couldn't help but grin and laugh; trying not to beathe so hard to save herself from pain. "Hey now!" She called out on shakey vocals, watching fondly as he was certianly giving it his all as his pace continued to send him ahead of her and before she knew it he'd reached the tree and she skidded to a hault moments after him. Stopping behind the tree, her legs shook softly as it had been many, many months since she'd run that fast none the less with her ribs and wing killing her in the pain department.
Luckily though she was able to press that back and show very little signs of it, as she simply breathed in heaves in order to catch her breath...wherever it went. "Yeah yeah yeah...let me catch my breath!" She chuckled, plainly seen on her maw while her head tossed back to open up her torso for even more air. For a moment in time, she'd completely forgotten about the concequences of losing, fully enthralled and enjoying how it felt to have fun, to push yourself, and to have a friend.
Finally feeling like she wouldn't pass out from oxygen deprivation, Zaiella shook out her toussled mane, unruly from the run. Looking back to Racardo, something inside her seemed to twist nervously...why was he grinning like that? The way his eyes glittered with a hidden mischevious nature had her mind suddenly reeling to what on earth he could ask of her. The little mare could only pray it had nothing to do with flying...least she just die of embarassment right then and there. However, nothing could have prepared her for what lay ahead when red overtook his golden facial features.
-request that you give me a kiss!
.....what. WHAT!? Immediately her eyes widened like saucers, and her fur turned a brilliant shade of purple from the mixture of blue and the scarlet blush. Immediately she felt sick to her stomach with the butterflies, like they were all fighting for one flower.
Zaiella had never really thought of romance, of hormones or stallions like that. Hell, when one didn't have friends thoughts of that second base nature just were not existant! Yet here she was, faced with honestly a dashing stallion...brave, kind, and playful. He hadn't left like others had before she could even call them friend, but had stayed and now...well, wanted a kiss for a prize! Despite how the feeling of light headedness came back full force, at the very least she was able to convince herself that it was a thank you for that brave act of saving her.
...even though it was so much more than that, a reality she maybe didn't want to admit incase she would wake up to find it was all a dream. She couldn't handle another blow to her small self esteem, since it seemed like she didn't have a lot now.
She couldn't speak, even if she'd have tried her voice was securely lodged in her throat. Taking a breath to give her enough courage to get through this, she walked up to the stallion and spread her wings despite the sting. Curling them forward she grasped his cheeks between her wings although her strength was weak she was able to suggestively guide his face down till their noses met and gently she lipped at his lips in a sweet kiss. Now that her face was effeciently on fire thanks to the deep blush, she pulled her wings back and placed a feathers over her smiling lips...a smile she hoped he wouldn't have noticed.
Her first kiss....although maybe not the most romantic kiss she'd ever received (since the current count was zero untill now), couldn't have made for a most memorable first if she did say so herself.
"Ah...well...I suppose a congratulations was in order?" She chuckled lightly, in a bit of a tease.
