Need I say more? How about this then:
In 14 hours, we will have the ULTIMATE OPEN-WHEEL DUEL: 2-time and reigning Champ Car title holder Sebastien Bourdais versus current Indy Racing League Champion Dan Wheldon, in the 1/8-Finals of the RoC Single-Elimination Main Feature Bracket, to determine the Champion of Champions 2k5.
Also, in the 1/4-Finals, we will have Goliath vs. David: 2005 World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb against the 5-time, 5-time, 5-time, 5-time, FIVE-TIME X GAMES GOLD MEDALIST Travis Pastrana! THIS IS A HUGE RACE FOR PASTRANA FANS! I will watch, and I pray that Travis beats Sebastien Loeb's french butt!
In the Nations Cup, France thought it wouldn't be fair for having 2 french teams, so its France versus France! Team Loeb versus Team Playstation Bourdais!
Come here for nearly LIVE commentary from yours truly, Ponza, for the greatest racing spectacle of December!

In The Nations Cup -
Barn-burning team Scandanavia WINS the Nations Cup without a single race loss, and from the 1/8 Final qualifier, a perfect 8-0!
France versus France saw youth versus age, as Sebastien Bourdais defeated Jean Alesi, ex-F1 driver, twice and Sebastien Loeb beat Stephane Peterhansel for his glory moment, to let Team Playstation won 2-1 in the 1/4 final. Team Playstation France of Bourdais and Peterhansel went on to the final, where Team Scand. decimated them in 2 straight!
Team USA got to the semi's where they also lost to Team Scandanavia. The greatest part of the show was their first match, against Team Brazil. Jeff Gordon outsmarted rookie sensation Nelson Piquet Jr. and Pastrana had troubles with BMW Sauber F1 driver Felipe Massa, as USA went on the 2-1 victory.
Again, Kristensen and Eckstrom of Team Scandanavia are your Nation's Cup champions for 2005! Kristensen is the all-time record holder of 24 hours of Le Mans with 7 wins, including the 2005 24 hours of Le Mans AND the 2005 Sebring 24H. Kristensen also got 3rd in this year's DTM championship for Audi. Eckstrom, Kristensen's DTM and RoC teammate, got 2nd in DTM this year, and has also drove in 24 hour races for Audi.

Race of Champions 2005 -
This year's main event was full of intrigue, which all pretty much started with some amazing contests. Sebastien Loeb as Goliath taking on Travis Pastrana as David was a mis-match from the beginning, but the only thing that kept Travis from winning was his own mistake and spinning in one of the hairpins. Jeff Gordon made it up to the semi-finals of his bracket before a mechanical failure at the start line caused him to lose the race, but win on time. Losing the race to Tom Kristensen meant that he went on to the bracket Final against 2004 RoC Champ Heikki Kovalainen.
AND WHAT A RACE THAT WAS! Kovalainen mis-shifted at the start, and had to rally from behind. Kristensen beat Kovalainen by a mere 7/1000th's of a second thanks to TAG HEUER timing!
In the other half of the bracket, Sebastien Loeb fueled with spirit from beating both WRC arch-nemesi (sp, plural for nemesis?) Colin McRae and Marcus Gronholm, went against Kristensen in the Super Final, best 2 out of 3. Loeb won the first heat in the Renault Megane by only 8/100ths of a second! Did that mean that race 2 would be just as close? Heck no! Kristensen spun the Citreon, and Loeb had to DODGE him before taking a slower but smoother lap, and won the Super Final in straight sets, 2-0!
Sebastien Loeb is your 2005 Race of Champions World Champion, completing his perfect season!
