ALovedTwilight (3:29:26 PM): Mei wandered the streets, relishing in her new found freedom. Lately it had been so difficult to enjoy it however. The girl was getting over an abusive relationship with her father, and spoke to hardly anyone, in fear of them getting far too close. Her charteux eyes scanned the houses in front of her as she fiddled with the collar wrapped around her ankle. if someone wanted to take her home, could she give up her freedom for it?
Times of Dying (3:35:54 PM): The dogs were gone--they'd run off after something he had been completely uninterested in. They had been his family, along with the humans...but now. He found himself lost. The bobtail's collar jingled as he trotted down the streets, out in the open, not weary of anyone. Humans went by every now and again, cooed at him, but kept walking. SeungRi lowered his ears when he found himself in a completely unfamiliar place...it was horrifying. And loud.

ALovedTwilight (5:41:34 PM): Mei flattened her ears against her skull… an annoying tinkling sound ever persistent in her mind. Her eyes drifted downward to her collar, but quickly realized that she was not moving her ankles. Mei scanned the streets for the sound, her chartreuse eyes showing a hint of hope, and a hint of fear.
Times of Dying (6:17:14 PM): A human cooed and motioned for him to approach, which he did, slowly, his stub of a tail low and unsure--when the human lunged forward. SeungRi all but screamed, yowling when the kid's hands grabbed for him, snagging at his back legs and laughing as he did so. SeungRi managed to run away from the kid, bolting, horrified, in Mei's direction staring back at the man. Whimpering, he nearly slammed into her, skidding to a stop and flopping back onto his rear to stare up at her, eyes wide.
ALovedTwilight (6:21:48 PM): Mei growled softly at cat that wound up in front of her and crouched in front of him, hissing and spitting at the human that disturbed her peace. Her collar tinkled softly from the movement. The human glowered a bit at her before turning and walking away. Mei turned and looked the kitten up and down, nodding that he seemed alright and starting to trot off back into the trees.
Times of Dying (6:25:25 PM): Jumping when she hissed, he curled his legs to his chest and whimpered, ears pinning back against his head. But she...defended him. Or did she just do that to keep herself from getting grabbed? Sniffing when the human left, he rolled over and stood up slowly as the girl moved away from him--and he automatically moved to follow after her, his own collar still around his neck. Tight...how irritating. "W-wait," he didn't want to be alone.
ALovedTwilight (6:34:08 PM): Mei raised a eyebrow, turning to the other cat who had yet to gain the title “free collar” she shifted on her feet a bit staying still. “yes?”she questioned, what could he possibly want from her? She had saved his tail… for the most part. The girl remembered that very same human collecting several cats for some purpose and none of them coming back… she couldn’t just let it happen right in front of her… but now?
Times of Dying (6:39:13 PM): "Thank you.." He at least wanted to thank her, right? He felt stupid for having to be saved, but.. "Uhm...what's..your name?" And SeungRi was growing increasingly stupid. He crossed his arms over his stomach, trembling slightly from both the scare and the oncoming cold. "Why are you out here...by yourself? She could ask the same for him, but eh..

ALovedTwilight (6:48:19 PM): The female glanced down, her face flushing lightly. “I’m Mei…. And I’m out here because I don’t have a home anymore, at least with the humans.” Her hand drifted up and fingered her bangs, twirling the fusha and pink locks in her hands. “what about you… somehow you take me for the type that is always being pampered.”
Times of Dying (6:51:11 PM): Blinking at her, he swallowed thickly and shook his head a bit. "SeungRi," no home, huh..? How scary. "I'm..uh...lost," at least he was being truthful, right? "The dogs in the family ran off without me and I dont know how to get home." He'd been walking for hours. Lord knows how far away he was from home. "Why..dont you have a home?"

ALovedTwilight (6:55:21 PM): Mei closed her eyes at the question… as though distancing herself. “they didn’t want me anymore, I didn’t get along with their tom after we broke up. Guess they didn’t understand how it feels right after a break up. He expected too much too soon.” She shrugged to herself, keeping her face blank. “it sounds like your stuck then, I don’t hang out with dogs much. Either you embrace your situation or you can run around looking for the mutts that ditched you… that’s life I suppose.”
Times of Dying (7:03:25 PM): His ears dropped. Oh. Well, now he felt really bad. Looking down, he toyed with the hem of his shirt, biting his lower lip with a sigh. "I'm sorry, it wasn't my business," he whispered, ears slowly perking back up. Looking up at the woman, he gave a weak--fake--smile. "T-they didn't ditch me...I just wasn't paying attention," no, they ditched him. and he was just a kitten, so he had no idea where the ******** he was. "Embrace my situation..? What do you mean?" he wasn't going to stay out here, was he? No way, he couldn't live on the street..

ALovedTwilight (7:29:17 PM): Mei sighed, running hand over her neck on impulse, reaching for the bell that wasn’t there anymore, rather tied to her ankle. She had been mean, she knew it by the look on his face… but why was he not believing her when she said that the others more then likely left him? Biting her lip and shrugging inwardly she looked him over. He was about her age, but experience wise… he was so young. Shaking her head she looked away, it was like she was going to keep him as a pet for herself, that was a silly notation, he could possibly have a family waiting for him… and yet she doubted it. “No, its alright, I have to get over it eventually. If you need someplace to stay I suppose I could help out a bit, but I need to know your not a psychopath or something… it seems like you cant really defend yourself.” she didn’t want it… and yet the words had slipped right out. Offering to have him stay with her… it would be interesting but…
Times of Dying (7:34:40 PM): Even after all that, she was offering for him to stay with her? Looking up, his ears still drooped, he took a moment to think about it and slowly nodded his head. "I have no where else to go.." He explained, letting out a quiet sigh. "I'm not crazy...promise," SeungRi smiled a bit at her, trying to lighten the mood a bit. Where else was he going to go, really? Reaching up, much like she had, he rubbed at the collar around his neck and took a careful, deep breath. Very tight..
ALovedTwilight (7:39:06 PM): The girl’s eyes narrowed in on his habit. “s**t isn’t that suffocating you?” Hesitantly she stepped forward, staring at the tightness of the collar around the guy’s neck. He wasn’t a psychopath that was for sure… if he was he would have the brains enough to get rid of that horrid thing. Mei reached out, one claw hooking around the loop with the bell attached to it and stared at the buckle. It was pretty standard, typical feed it through and it was done thing, much like her own had been. Her eyes drifted upward a bit, blushing at the close proximity. “i… im sorry… do you need me to take it off for you?”
Times of Dying (7:57:39 PM): "Not--suffocating," not really, at least. When she came up so close to him he blinked, ears still low, and his cheeks burn with a slight blush. Oh dear.. "Take it off? But my humans gave it to me," it didn't even have his name on it, but that was because he was an indoor cat. Wasn't that normal? it was getting rather uncomfortable though, hard to swallow and depending on how he was positioned it was hard to breathe.
ALovedTwilight (8:00:56 PM): Mei looked away dropping her hand and turning from him, hiding behind her bangs. “I took mine off, I had to… couldn’t breathe or swallow. But again it is your choice.” She mumbled the last walking in some random direction, she didn’t want this guy to be able to tell others where she lived, so she would take him the long way, and to a place where she stayed less often then normal. Her eyes stayed on the ground, watching her feet move in the direction of wherever…
Times of Dying (8:06:25 PM): When she let go he let out a quiet breath, not sure why he was so nervous. Slowly, he followed after her, reaching up to grip onto his collar loosely. Maybe he should...his owners hadn't even thought to fix his collar...maybe she was right, he wouldn't be able to get back to them. Keeping a step or two behind her, he fingered the bell on his collar loosely, mumbling another 'thank you' to the other feline softly.v
ALovedTwilight (8:14:45 PM): Quietly she pondered to herself… adopting another cat. The idea was idiotic, she often slept in four or five different places a week, but something about his disposition, warmed the cockles of her heart. Males… were idiots. What was wrong with her?! Her ear flicked to the side and her tail swished in an uncertain movement. Mei didn’t know how she felt, or even why it was she was doing what she was… but it felt right she supposed. Quietly she made her way to the old caretaker’s shed in the park, climbing through a hole in the wall and sitting down, her bell the only thing making noise.
Times of Dying (8:23:55 PM): Following still, he tried to stay as quiet as her, but his bell seemed louder and his untrained feet seemed loud, even if they weren't. Looking around curiously, he perked his ears up, bright eyes glowing from the darkening skies. This was kind of nice. Not wanting to get too close to her, personal space and all that, he sat a foot or so away, curling his legs to his chest and resting his chin to his knees. Like now--this caused pressure on his throat, a wheeze leaving him every now and again--followed by a cough.
ALovedTwilight (8:28:21 PM): Mei frowned biting her lip lightly, obviously looking at him. “I really… do believe you are going to end up hurting yourself with that thing… breathing is necessary for living.” She mumbled, scooting closer and looking at how it dug into his skin… hell it looked like it was scaring the poor boy worse then hers had. “SeungRi… let me help please?”
Times of Dying (8:34:42 PM): Looking up at her, startled, he frowned a bit but slowly nodded. He didn't know how to take it off, and despite scratching at it to try and cut through the material it had barely made a dent in the thick material. "Okay...take it off," Whatever he had to do. Slowly he was beginning to accept that he wouldn't be able to go home. Sighing heavily, he brought a hand up to rub at his eyes, "Sorry," again he felt useless.
ALovedTwilight (8:41:48 PM): Mei stared at him, feeling some of his pain… it had been awhile before she could get the courage herself. “Don’t say sorry… its only natural to dislike change.” The girl made the other lower his legs before she straddled them and fiddled with the tight thing. Yes it was far tighter then hers was. Mei bit her tongue in concentration, before finally hooking the bit of looped fabric with a nail and pulling. It came away, tinkling into her hand. She looked at it, feeling bad once more before sitting off to the side of the other, it still in her hand. Many cats were possessive over their collars she knew so silently she offered it to the other as his decision
Times of Dying (8:49:36 PM): He didn't even blush when she straddled him. Instead, he kept his hands tucked between them, feeling her stomach against his knuckles, her warmth...he'd grown up with a sibling, so it was nice to have another cat around. Looking up to her, he felt...instant relief, the ache around his neck disappearing and his lungs no longer burning as he took in a deep breath. So much better. She had been right. When the collar was offered over to him, he smiled--a real smile. Bright, though tinted with a bit of childish happiness. Taking the thing, he fiddled with it idly, "Thank you. Again," he laughed.
ALovedTwilight (8:53:58 PM): She smiled, “you say thank you too much.” She said before laughing happily with the change of mood. It was a nice change. Mei leaned against the shed, her eyes itching from tiredness… she wasn’t sleeping well without her old companion, but hey what’s a girl to do? She had broken up with him. “Tell me, about you.” She whispered, closing her eyes and listening to the others voice.

Times of Dying (4:26:32 PM): Tell her about him? He shrugged slight, "I thank people when they deserve it," he murmured softly, thinking quietly to himself... "What do you want to know?" He didn't know what to say about himself. There wasn't much to say in general, honestly. He was obviously pretty damn useless, young...and he'd told her his name.
ALovedTwilight (4:30:47 PM): The girl smiled to herself, “whatever you want to tell.” Her voice was a but mumbled, after she stretched out her legs and rested her chin on her chest. She hummed softly, occasionally swiping back a piece of loose hair, and simply just staying still for once. Mei had nothing else better to do, at one point in time she would be romping about with her siblings… but now her day merely consisted of trying to find a place to sleep and something to eat. This male was going to have problems with that as well, perhaps even worse than her.
Times of Dying (4:40:13 PM): "Nothing...really to tell," he said honestly, playing with a lock of his dark hair. Curling his legs to his chest, he took in a slow breath, "I, uhm...lived with a poor family. Lots of animals. Dogs, cats, birds...they were all my family members too," he felt like he was rambling. "Which is...why I dont think they left me on purpose.." He shrugged weakly. "What about you?" Looking up to her SeungRi's expression had calmed..he looked tired, but not quite enough to sleep just yet.
ALovedTwilight (4:53:06 PM): Mei opened one eye, shifting a bit nervously “there isnt much more about me to tell you. You heard my sob story I think the only thing I didn’t tell you is something I wont admit.” The girl settled herself again, peeking a eye up to ri “though if you have any thing you want to know in particular … go ahead and ask.”
Times of Dying (4:55:04 PM): Wont admit? He blinked curiously, shaking his head slightly. A small smile crossed his lips, and he looked up at the ceiling, "Do you want me to leave in the morning?" He asked, wanting an honest answer--if she was bothered by him, then he could leave. He knew he was a handful, SeungRi had always been told he was, by the humans and his other housemates...but he was young, naive, and had never been taught to do much else but play, eat and sleep.
ALovedTwilight (4:59:33 PM): The girl sat up in surprise, her eyes a bit wide. “I… uh….” She stammered, puzzlement clear all over her face, did she want him to stay or go? In all honesty she hadn’t really gotten that far in her thoughts, Mei was stuck in the present always… this was just strange. “I suppose… you can do whatever you would like to do. I don’t personally like the idea of you wandering off alone… but if you want to go, then go ahead.” She mumbled the last, blushing and looking down.
Times of Dying (5:06:20 PM): Oh. So she didn't care? But...she did? She seemed to, since she didn't want him wandering around by himself...maybe he would stay, despite feeling somewhat bad for bothering the poor woman. Sighing quietly, he moved to crawl over into the shadowy area, somewhat nervous about being found, and flopped onto the floor. Curling up and burying his face into his arms, the bobtail would attempt to sleep. Again, he mumbled a light 'thank you' without much thought, really thinking he needed to thank the female.
ALovedTwilight (5:17:15 PM): Mei shook her head and did very much the same thing, but climbing under a work table and into a crate. It would be interesting to see if the male would be there in the morning.. She went to sleep easily, but found herself whimpering a bit in her dream. It had been awhile since she had to think about her family, and it brought back memories better forgotten..
Times of Dying (5:40:25 PM): In the middle of night he'd ended up getting cold. Usually, the pixie bob slept with the dogs...so it was weird. Blinking his eyes open blearily, the half-asleep tom didn't think much as he crawled into the crate with the female...not quite cuddling up against her, but close enough to where he felt her warmth, her comforting aura. The next few days would indeed be strange.
ALovedTwilight (5:45:35 PM): Mei awoke at the sound of birds in the early morning, she was amazingly warm, and didn’t really question why until she looked over at the male. She had thought she was home again with her tom, but that wasn’t the case. Mei’s fur bristled slightly again, but she said nothing, rather calmed herself down and sat next to him debating whether or not to poke him and wake him up.
Times of Dying (5:48:59 PM): Oops, well...he was just a kitten. Pretty much. So he liked snuggling up against things and all that..not his fault. That and he'd gotten cold, his fur wasn't all that thick and ready for the cold weather just yet. He could feel the not-so-welcoming atmosphere when she woke up, so he snapped awake--startled both by the hard surface he was lying on, and an uncomfortable feeling behind him...Jerking up to a sit, he looked back at her, half wondering how he'd even gotten there.
ALovedTwilight (5:53:34 PM): The girl bit her lip lightly, turning away from the boy and crawling out of the box. He had startled her, Mei blushed, staring out of the hole in the wall to the people and animals wandering around the park. She had told him he could leave if he wanted, if he still wanted he could. She was nervous around him, she hardly knew anything about him and he had found his way to her in the middle of the night.
Times of Dying (6:01:04 PM): One would assume him to be pretty damn useless...he couldn't even know better than to run away from the human who had called him over. Swallowing thickly when she moved away from him, SeungRi slowly followed, looking up at the table they had previously been sleeping under. Jumping up onto it, he peeked out the window there, ears perked as the young tom watched everyone through the dirty glass.
ALovedTwilight (6:09:16 PM): Mei looked up at the other, sighing softly. She looked over the guy, in the morning sunlight… he actually looked… cute. She rolled her eyes coughing lightly. “Sorry for waking you.” She mumbled, shifting a bit and looking away.. Mei looked around out side but no sign of food was near enough to run out and then back in. The female shook her head and sighed, they had to go outside again.
Times of Dying (6:10:53 PM): "Sorry for startling you," he replied quickly, padding back over to the edge of the table to plunk down. Stepping up and leaning over to look out the hole in the wall, his small tail flicked curiously. Food was on his mind--as with most men, he supposed, but he wasn't about to say anything. "What're you looking at?" Yep, definitely a kitten...curiosity would be the death of him.
ALovedTwilight (6:20:54 PM): Mei shook her head and smiled. “Humans dumb enough to trick into giving us breakfast.” The abbisynian thought more like a male in most things… well all things save for sex, that she at least wanted to wait for the person who was ‘right’ for her. “so have you decided what you want to do yet, whether to stay or go I mean?”
Times of Dying (6:26:22 PM): "Maybe I'll stick around and bug you more," he teased, smirking, "You seem like a fun cat," 'cept the scary thing. That might take a while to get over, though. Sniffing, he cocked his head and stood off to the side, not sure what to do-- especially when it came to tricking humans. Usually he just had to beg for food from his own humans, this had to be different, more difficult..
ALovedTwilight (6:39:33 PM): The girl laughed at his obvious confusion and crawled through the hole, sauntering over to a old man and mewing pitifully. He gestured to his wife with his hands, nothing that Mei really took attention to, and fed her half his sandwich. The female then padded over to Ri with a twinkle in her eye before disappearing into the shed. “Just like that, and if there are any more old people go for them first.”
