Vladimir gracefully strolled down the large stone steps of his new home, his foot steps making no noise. Giving the impression that he was more or less gliding and not walking. The large abandoned castle had come in handy. It sheltered him from the light and the cobwebs and dust did not bother him. No, they gave the castle a home like vibe for Vlad. He stopped at the bottom of the stairs. He had a home, territory and plenty of ... food now but no one to share it with. No warmth to comfort him the long dark lonely nights of eternity. "This will NOT do." he sighed to himself. He needed a wife. A love. Or at least what love could come from the damned.

Verona was on a walk, enjoying the many scents that flowed. She was quiet, holding herself in a way that said she was better then most. Of course her movements weren't ever heard. Her ventures brought her to the abandoned castle's wrought iron fence that was locked at the large gate. She tilted her head as she came closer to it, peering towards the castle.

Vladimir froze in place. His unparalleled vampiric sense of smell caught the sent of death on the air. Not just any kind of death. Old death. The sent of his own kind. Every muscle in his body stiffened. Was this guest friend or fo? Were the undead ever friends to anyone? He silently crept out into the night. The wind pulling violently at his cape. "Good evening." Vlad spoke to the stranger from perched on top of the fence. His face twisted into a charming yet menacing smile.

Her nostrils flared wider as she inhaled the scent of another undead, the scent of blood. She licked her lips at almost sweet anticipation that came with scents. Blood just smelled sweet to her, a trademark. Blinking up at him, she gave a soft smile, although on guard. "Good evening."

What luck! A female! Vladimir was elated. He leaped gracefully from the fence, his cape billowing behind him. In a single fluid motion he caught it in one paw and bowed. " I am Vladimir Dracula. Welcome to my humble home." he said in a cool voice. His charming and menacing smile never leaving his face. "And you are?" he peeked up at her.

"Verona Syndil." She said, holding her head a little high. "This is your home?" She glanced back at the gothic beauty before them. "It's lovely."

Again in one smooth fluid motion he swept over to her and wrapped one paw around her waist and in the other held her paw, kissing it gently. " And yet not quite as Lovely as you my dear." He paused magically producing a flower out of his paw and handing it to her. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

She pursed her lips and peered at the flower. Now she was brought up to be a lady but she wasn't going to be easy to woo. She accepted the flower as a lady with a smile that hid alot. "A pleasure to meet you as well."

A jaded beauty Vladimir realized at once. That was ok with him. It would make her more of a challenge to conquer and control. He shifted his face into a more reassuring gentile smile. He would have to take things slowly with this one. He took a step back and bowed apologetically. "You must forgive me if I seem to forward. You are my first visitor in perhaps... centuries."

"Oh...I see." She smiled none the less. "I was just out for a walk really when I saw the beautiful gate."

A perfect opening. "Would you like to see the rest of the castle?" Vladimir swiftly reached behind his back and pulled a key from a hidden pocket in his cape. He unlocked and pushed open the gate. "Perhaps afterword I could interest you in a late dinner afterword?" His lips twisted into an evil grin at the word dinner. Truly this was no offer a fellow child of the night could refuse.

Verona licked her lips at the thought of 'dinner' all the while she stared at his own neck. He smelled delicious...for an undead. "Dinner sounds nice...later." She glanced at the gate before moving silently and femininely past it, her own cloak flowing elegantly behind her.

He glided silently behind her as they made their way to the front steps of his home. "It has been in my family for generations." He lied effortlessly to Verona. " It is a pity you must see it in this state. It was magnificent in his heyday." He paused for a moment as if to express grief. " My family lost their lives defending it. I am the last of my coven. Of my family, and so it is mine now to defend." He opened the thick wooden doors to the castle. "Please" Vladimir said to Verona gesturing inside with his paw.
