Name: Kaheem
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Still alive? Good, he’ll take it.
Craft: None
Rank: Weyrbrat

History: A born and bred weyrbrat, Kaheem was raised by the Headwoman and all the other little weyrbrats. He has no idea who his parents actually are, though he’d like to think they are a pair of dragon riders, he knows well enough to be aware they are probably a pair of drudges. And that’s fine! It’s not like everyone else is well-bred.

And here we could go on about how nothing particularly fascinating happened to Kaheem throughout his twenty turns, because really, nothing has. Oh, he’s gone and caught tunnel snakes and set them free in the kitchen (and got latrine duty for longer than he cares to remember), and swore to never get caught again. He’s gone and thrown glows at a watch wher to see what would happen; turns out they aren’t really big fans of that, either. He’s snuck onto the sands just like every candidate before him and, well, that’s about as far as his stories go.

He’s been Standing since he was fourteen, though he was never Searched, and after the last Impression, he’s more or less given up. His intentions are to take to the Stands and to mooch of the Weyr without doing work until they finally kick him out.

Appearance: Sandy brown hair and bright green eyes, Kaheem manages to make plain actually look quite attractive. Maybe it’s the way he smiles or maybe it’s because he all but oozes charm but, one way or another, the weyrbrat has managed to make himself into something desirable. Or maybe that’s just in his head, but you know they say confidence is sexy.

Kaheem doesn’t walk, he struts, he doesn’t pause, he preens. He’s a good-looking guy, he knows it, and he isn’t afraid to show it! Perhaps just a little bit shorter than he’d like, he muscle compliments his frame, whipcord with very little bulk.

Personality: Where should we start? Charming, confident, awesome? All of the above! And Kaheem would be the first to tell you, too! And if he can use those qualities to get what he wants, well, you better bet that he will! A chronic lover of ladies, he never passes up a good time. So maybe candidates aren’t supposed to be getting frisky with their fellow candidates, but honestly, what was he supposed to do, say no? She offered!

The adventurous sort, Kaheem will try anything twice. As confident as he is in himself, he is in others. He trusts people to act to the best of their ability. He doesn’t trust them to do the right thing, not if he doesn’t know them personally, but he finds, in general, people are inherently good, outside circumstances nonwithstanding. Finding someone to talk with is never a problem for the young man, but actually forging a bond is something else entirely.

As far as ambitions are concerned, Kaheem would fancy himself a leader…if he had anyone to lead. He doesn’t really take direction well, especially when it’s bad direction. Most directions are bad directions, for the record, especially when they’re bossing you around. Not a big fan of order, he does recognize the world can’t operate in complete chaos, which is probably the only reason he tolerates being subjected to the hierarchy. He's not particularly motivated, and while he claims that is solely because he hasn't found the right thing to motivate him, that has yet to be seen. Nothing in his twenty turns has motivated him yet.

More intelligent than he comes off, Kaheem usually disregards his instincts and that little voice telling him not to throw glows at the wher because it gets in the way of his curiosity. He wants to know and the best way to find out how something works is to try it, no matter what previous experiments say. Not particularly concerned with negative consequences, he doesn't really think these things through. Firmly convinced the universe does not follow a logical course, Kaheem does his best to be unpredictable. In unfolding chaos (the universe never moves towards order, after all!), it is best to work with the flow and continue to expand his horizons. Just because he hasn’t Impressed doesn’t mean his life is over (though it certainly can feel that way).

There is something he is meant to do, he just hasn’t found it yet.

Other: While Kaheem has sort of given up on Impression, I don’t want him to be ineligable, or anything. XD
