History: Zhierd's parents were traveling trades and soon after their son was born they realized that life on the road was not something they wanted for him. Instead they traveled to Telgar Weyr and left him with his Mother's Sister Amaka when he was a little over 1 turn. His aunt had been kind to him and she and the rest of the Cooks had watched him and taken care of him. Occasionally his parents would stop by to check in on him but it would only be for a day or so and then they would be off on their way again. Zhierd used to look forward to those days but soon learned they only brought disappointment. He had hoped that they would take him with them. He had heard many tales from the bards and imagined having his own adventure. But alas, his parents only ever let him down.
When he was a child Zhierd would help his aunt in the kitchens. Mostly in fetching ingredients but she would occasionally allow him to chop items or stir something here and there. She had even taught him to cook bread once. Zhierd, however, wasn't very fond of cooking. His Aunt had taught him enough that he could cook things for himself but it wasn't exactly what he was interested in.
When he was about 12 turns old, Zhierd once tried to steal a loaf of bread from the kitchen on a dare from his fellow friends. Seeing as how his appearance wasn't anything unusual for the kitchen he went mostly unnoticed. Mostly. On his way out of the kitchen his aunt had stopped him and gave him a rather fierce lashing. She knew it was only a loaf of bread and would have simply given him some if he had asked, but the boy had needed to learn a lesson and he had. From then on Zhierd had learned not to get caught.
He had enjoyed sneaking into the kitchen and was only upset that he had been caught. From that day on he made sure he wasn't caught or came up with reasonably excuses if he was. There were still a few more lashings to be had but all in all he was begging to become rather good at stealing but hardly ever took anything that was actually worth something. Zhierd still had some honor. When he does take anything of value he prefers to put it right back again. He merely enjoyed sneaking around undetected.
Appearance: Zhierd is about 5'11" and built like a twig. He has some muscles from daily chores but needs a little bulking up. He has short Black hair that usually stays untamed but is well trimmed. He tries to keep his face clean shaven but due to a hurried job there always seems to be a little stubble left. He also has Hazel eyes. Typically he only wears plain clothes so he doesn't have to worry about getting them dirty but he still tries to look decent. If he needs to though, he can easily clean up.
Personality: Zhierd is relatively shy when he first meets anyone but growing up a Weyrbrat you can't be too careful. Zhierd is polite to anyone he meets unless offended first. He is also typically soft spoken and does not raise his voice. It seems that most others find him to be a gentleman. He does steal an occasional loaf of bread or other small item but only because he enjoys the thrill. Usually things end up back where they were before anyone even notices. Even though he likes stealing things he is too honorable to keep anything. The boy has hardly ever been in a fight and won't pick one either. He can also be very patient if need be. Once you get to know him though he is really a rather out going boy who just enjoys having fun and even making others laugh occasionally.
Bad Traits: Zheird is something of a thief. Even though he believes he's not really doing anything wrong as long as everything ends back up where it was to begin with. He can also become rather jealous. If someone has something he wants or someone he wants he may pout about it for a while but eventually he gets over it.
Other: He also has an irrational fear of heights. This may prove interesting if he were to impress. The thought of impressing for him is exciting but he does have a certain comfort issue with the thought of mating flights. These however, are really only out of shyness and can be overcome.
