The Rider
(Description by Kolina, until I get the time to write up a more detailed one)
Name: S'dar
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Rank: Wingrider (Under M'xan and Blyir)
Quick History: S'dar had been transferred to Rias Weyr a year after M'xan and Blyir had. The trio seemed to have gotten together very well thanks to their beliefs and wants of the Weyr. Eventually S'dar began to like his Wingleader and second so much that his manipulative and backstabbing ways were never played on the two.
Quick Personality: S'dar is not one to talk hotly in front of the higher ups. No, S'dar is a backstabber to all but M'xan and Blyir. Slinking around the Weyr he'll do just about anything to turn others into what the trio are. Young candidates and Weyrlings are the best targets though younger riders have also proven to bend to his will. S'dar will get what he wants out of them before turning around on them. ninja

The Dragon

Dragon's Name: Yormeth
Age: 21
Color: Blue
Personality: Yormeth isn't as cruel as his rider but he does not like the ways the Weyr has turned and doesn't particularly care for the young Ariath, though he will follow orders when given them. Yormeth can reign in S'dar at times but the dragon doesn't like to interfer too much with his riders wants. What makes his rider happy, makes him happy, so why should he interfere too much?

The Friends and the "Friends"
Friends
(i.e. the people S'dar will never actually betray)
M'xan: S'dar's Wingleader, rider of bronze Enelth. S'dar was just as angry as M'xan was when Ariath chose that pathetic brown over M'xan's more experienced bronze, and he is elated that M'xan is now in his proper place as Weyrleader again.
Blyir: Wingsecond of M'xan's wing, rider of brown Waroth.
"Friends"
(S'dar has met them, and may even be nice to them...but don't count on him to stick around when they mysteriously find themselves in trouble.)
Ephia and L'cian: Fools. How is the Weyr supposed to effectively fight thread with an inexperienced Weyrwoman and the pesky brownrider who dares to try challenging M'xan?
Kietha: A Healer Apprentice who S'dar and Yormeth Searched while on business at the Healer Hall. S'dar does not hate her as he hates Ephia and L'cian. At the moment, he is slowly trying to turn her to his viewpoint. If he succeeds, she may end up in the Friends section. If he fails...well, he won't fail entirely. He is the first Dragonrider she was exposed to, after all...
MasterWeaver Emoraan: He is making a fine new riding jacket that will make S'dar look...well, more dashing then before. But he seems to be suspicious...S'dar is going to have to be extremely careful.
Samly: The slightest compliment seems to go far with this one. Ah, the possibilities...

The Impression
Seydar shifted nervously as he looked about at the other boys standing on the Hatching Sands. They were all several Turns younger than him, and so he seemed out of place with his height and age of 17 turns. They all looked up to him, and expected him to Impress a bronze or a strong brown. But Seydar had serious doubts about that; he didn't even belong here in the first place.
The Healer Hall had lost one of its best apprentices when Seydar left, and there were even rumors about his promotion. He had made friends with the most influential of the Masters, and he could have had anything he wanted. But now he was in the Weyr, with no friends and completely out of place.
He couldn't concentrate on how out of place he was for long, for the eggs were starting to hatch. One by one, the browns, bronzes, blues and greens all passed him up. One by one, they chose some boy who actually belonged there.
Seydar was just starting to cry when he felt something nudge him. Blinking a few times to make sure he was seeing correctly, he caught sight of a medium-sized blue hatchling.
Don't be sad, S'dar. I like you, and I am your Yormeth. Can you feed me?
"Of course I can, Yormeth!" S'dar exclaimed, hugging his new lifemate. Proudly, he led him away from the Sands toward the Weyrling Barracks. Once he had found their place, S'dar and Yormeth both fell asleep.

The Transfer to Rias
Story pending. I must talk to the other troublesome trio RPers so that we don't get conflicting stories. While conflicting stories are one of S'dar's specialties, I'd rather not have that in this journal. rofl
