The leaves crackled under his feet, foiling his efforts to not make any noise. Mouse-dung! He looked around the bush to see if his target had noticed him yet. He almost felt bad for what he was doing... most cats would call this "stalking" in a more literal sense, but he was bored.

And she probably was too.

Longshadow knew that she proably shouldn't be out in her condition, but she felt restless, and was tired of staring at the nursury all day. She knew that she would have to move into there sooner or later, ever since the medicine cat declared her suspiscions correct.

She kept on walking until she was under an oak tree. Her whiskers twitched at the smell of it, and the leaves felt cool under her feet.

He saw that she had stopped by an old oak tree, and sighed. The hunt would be too easy, and he had wanted to cheer her up. Longshadow seemed so different lately. Usually he would go on patrols with he all the time, but now it seemed like he never saw her. He sighed again and moved closer. Maybe he was the one that needed cheering.

She stopped walking and sat down with a sigh.. Why did she always seem so depressed lately? But then she remembered and sighed again. How could this happen? She had been careful and tried to keep her feelings in check. He was eager enough in their friendship, but she was supposed to be the sad silent type, not the type to be loving and caring... nurturing.

Her tail flicked as a leaf fell down on it from the tree. Leaf-fall was ending soon, seeing as all the leaves had nearly fallen from the trees already. At least the pines would leave some shelter, but still the cold of leaf-bare was nearly upon them. Leaf-bare was the worst time for this to happen. How could she screw this up at a time like this?

He slowly walked around the tree to the side from which he could still see her, but she couldn't see him. He waited for her to keep walking, or to turn back and go the the camp, but she didn't. She was just sitting there... silent.

Spiritchaser left the safety of the bushes and walked up beside her, "Hi, Longshadow." He tried to sound cheerful, but he could tell it must sound fake.
