You all know who I'm talking about.
Those freaky people - the ones that you look at and cringe when you read their names...and then later, look back at what they did and think, 'Dang, that was @#$^&* hot...' The ones that are disgusting in every way...but so dang sexy in such strange ways, that you can't help but be attracted to them.
Me: Darken Rahl...droooooool...
Friends: EEW! He wants to rape Kahlan and carve out his son's intestines!
Me: No...he wants to do worse...but aren't the sadistic ones ALWAYS the hot -

Everyone's got their vices... ::giggle:: I've always thought that authors do that to make evil seem enticing. That way, the reader questions the hero's nature a tad. Evil is charming. No one would side with it if it weren't. Sure, the power is another allurring factor. But mostly the charm of evil.
