Rory lay sprawled out on his belly in the guest room bed, covers doing not much to actually cover his body as he sleep. Ki Du was laying beside the boy on his back, paws waving in the air with his puppy dreams. Rory had one arm outstretched, the other tucked under his pillow to give extra support to his head. He snored softly in his sleep, brow furrowing every so often with whatever he was dreaming.

Lydia gave few small taps on Rory's door before she bent down to pick up the cleaning supplies she'd come over with. Very interesting news was thrown her way that morning, very useful information. No, not that the room smelled like dog urine and she was sent to clean it up. Her brother had filled her in on -- more like complained about, really -- Rory's habit of cuddling and generally getting frisky when a bit tipsy. How might he react to her when more than a bit tipsy? She didn't know how much it took to get the boy drunk, but she'd try her hardest to find out.
No answer caused Lydia to get restless, and instead of knocking again, she opened one of the doors and peered inside to find... well, something wonderful. Her cheeks turned a dark crimson at the sight of Rory's very naked torso, and she wasn't sure if she should be thankful or disappointed that he was sleeping on his stomach. Coming inside, she set her cleaning supplies down for the moment and walked to Rory's bedside, looking the boy's back over a moment. Scars? Where had these come from? How hadn't she noticed before? Clearing her throat lightly, mostly just to collect herself, Lydia reached out and pulled the sheets up to cover the boy, her hands shaking a bit as she did so. As wonderful a sight as it was, she didn't want him to know she'd been checking him out in his sleep. She quickly turned around and began to do what she came here to do; scrub pee up off the carpet. Perhaps she could ask him about those scars when he woke up...

Rory gave a soft moan at the covers being pulled up and moved around, rolling on to his side and curling up, the covers sliding back down again. Ki Du let out a yawn and wriggled around to sit up, tilting his head inquisitively at the strange woman in the room. The puppy hopped down, went over to her, and promptly peed on the carpet by the stain she was already scrubbing.

Lydia sat back, sighing rather loudly and shaking her head with frustration. Of all the times, of all the places... This dog hated her, she was sure of it. Not only was she allergic, not only was she scrubbing its pee from the carpet, but it felt the need to make her job even more difficult. Setting her things down, she lifted the pup, holding it like a dirty diaper, and locked it in the bathroom, trying to keep it away while she finished her task. She hadn't looked over to Rory yet, hadn't noticed he was uncovered once again.

Rory moved to sit up, hearing a door shut, and looked at Lydia with bleary eyes. "What's gaen on? Where's Ki Du?" He seemed totally unaware of his nudity in the company of a strange woman.

Lydia peered up at the boy, her mouth open to answer him when she saw that he was uncovered... again. Covering her eyes quickly, she looked down at the carpet, her blush worse than before. Oh, she'd seen even more this time, much more. A guilty joy bubbled inside of her, and she forced herself not to smile. "R-Rory, sir, you are... indecent."

"Hm?" He looked down and blushed, quickly pulling the covers around him. It did wonders to wake him up. He looked up at the girl. "Why are you in me room?"

Lydia avoided eye contact still, continuing her task and scrubbing away as she'd done before. "Y-your puppy has been peeing on the carpet. I was sent to clean the mess... I apologize for the intrusion." And for seeing more than she should have. Her scrubbing stopped for a moment, and she sighed softly, taking her time before speaking. "I realize I don't know you well, but... May I ask you something? Something somewhat personal?" Those scars...

"Yeah, but let me get some pants on first. Turn around, eh?" Rory asked, making a spinning motion with his finger. "Then I'll feel a wee more comfortable wi' talkin'."

Lydia nodded, her blush still very present as she faced the door. Assuming he was clothing himself, she spoke up. "Is it alright if I ask about those scars on your back?"

"Everyone does," Rory replied, getting up now that he had pants on and walking to the bathroom door to let Ki Du out. The puppy yapped happily and bounced around the boy's feet, wiggling it's bottom.

Hearing the bathroom door open, Lydia assumed he was at least partially dressed and peered over at him, blinking at his back and examining the scars from afar. "Where'd you get them?"

Rory shrugged, moving to sit on the floor so Ki Du could climb all over him. "I wis whipped as a child when some outisders accused me o' stealin'."

"Oh, I'm... I'm sorry..." Lydia gazed back at the boy, eyes searching his face for any kind of sadness accompanying to his words. "It's surprising, though. That you'd want to marry an 'outsider' after that. I'd think you'd avoid them..."
