She'd nearly given up on her hunt for the blue haired limelight stealing brat, when out from the darkness of the park came a loud ungodly squeaking sound that could only belong to one obnoxious little girl.
It didn't take long for her to trace the sound, and soon enough she came across quite the humorous scene. It was very difficult to keep herself from laughing as the younger Lieutenant dashed away from the group and into the shadows, but Nealite managed (somehow).
She rested her back against the tree she'd been standing alongside, her mirror rising up as she inspected her face. Waiting a few more moments to ensure they were the only two still remaining in the park, she let out a chuckle and a few tsk's.
"I don't think I've ever seen such a cowardly performance before, Lina darling. Braaaavo! Tell me, was it those drunkards' breath that scared you off, or that boy's terrible sense of style when it comes to shorts?"

Okay, so this night could get worse! Linarite's first reaction was to simply turn and swing, perhaps she could hit the b***h in the face and then all of her problems would be over on this particular front. If she wasn't pretty, she'd have absolutely no reason to get into Linarite's head, since everyone knew exactly why Charonite had picked this witch woman!
"I think you're losing your grip on things, Nealite. I don't remember you ever putting your neck out there, so I can think of more shameful things." What was she supposed to do with this piece of s**t hammer? Take on two grown, belligerent men and a senshi? Yeah. Right.
Obviously this was just more proof how crazy the Negaverse's sexy secretary really was!

Letting out a shrill laugh, Nealite's hand moved down to her hip to rest as she gave her a smug look.
"Is that what you call what you were doing? Sticking your neck out? Because to me, that looked as if you were trying to smack around a senshi with a toy hammer."
Her eyes fell down to examine the oversized squeaky toy, the grin still evident on her face. How atrociously tacky, really. Couldn't she have used something a bit more... dignified? Or at least matching, for god's sake.
"It really is a wonder how you didn't bring the whole Senshi team out with that obnoxious squeaking," She commented dryly, finally stepping away from the tree and closer towards the younger girl, "But then again, you must be terribly desperate for a star seed at this point, hm?"

Her hands gripped the yellow plastic with shame, and she tried as hard as she could to keep it from her face, raising her chin belligerently. It was the weapon that she was most used to, dynamically. Her warrior was a killer with his two-hander, and was invaluable dps! One day she would be too, and then who'd be laughing?
"Desperate? I wouldn't say that, but then, we are supposed to find seeds. Why not a senshi's? Some of us can't sleep our way through the ranks. How's that working for you, by the way?" Linarite swept a look up and down the opposing lieutenant, and had to secretly admit she was sorta fine. b***h.

She could feel her cheeks flushing at the comment, her temper rising as her face grew redder.
"Just because some of us have desk jobs as opposed to having to do the grunt work is no reason to be catty, Linarite." She snapped, giving a bit of a huff as she brushed aside a bit of hair behind her ear. "After all, the General-King needs competent people to deliver his orders, not some little cutesy computer geek who runs away at the sight of drunks!"
Her grin was gone, replaced by a scowl as she stood and stared at the younger girl who was, in fact, far too cute in her own right, which was one of many reasons Nealite found her detestable. Sure, Nealite would do what it took to climb up the ranks, but gracious, had Linarite ever been around the General-King before? For crying out loud, the man was so cold, even Nealite didn't think it would be possible to persuade him by other means (not that she hadn't debated it before, of course). Too involved with his work to even notice such an opportunity. Hmph.
"Speaking of the General-King," the orange haired lieutenant continued, her smile slowly (but surely) creeping back upon her face, "You may as well not bother showing back up until you have a seed. He is rather disappointed in your performance. I mean, you are supposed to bring star seeds back, I hope you realize. Coming back empty handed as many times as you have hasn't gone unnoticed, darling."

When in a verbal cat fight, it was often easier to pretend like whole remarks were not even uttered than to give any ground to the enemy! Of course, Nealite was so very catty that sometimes, Linarite had to wonder if perhaps somewhere in her parentage was one of those guardian cats they were so disdainful of. Sure, Caine was alright, but the senshi cats were truly detestable. Finally after exhausting her mental choices of retorts, Lina was about to turn and leave when the final words caught her ear.
Honey eyes hardened to golden glass as the lieutenant set her hammer down slowly, sharply gazing at the other woman. "What are you talking about? What do you think I am TRYING to do? It's not so easy to hold someone down and take out their star seed when two big, drunken men are trying to wonder what you're doing. Not that you would understand this, as I don't think you've actually even actively tried it. I mean, crowd control is all about a successful boss kill! When the trash is kicking your a**, you are going to get creamed by the boss, no matter how much HP they have! Jeez! What, were you listening at doors again, trying to maybe hear something that might possibly help you out?" Verbosity came always on the heels of panic.
Was the General-King indeed furious with her? It was hard to trust Nealite, but why would she make up such a thing? The secretary of the darkness would know that now Linarite would move into overtime on seed-gathering, ultimately making her look bad! Oh man, this was ******** up.

Her face grew even hotter as Linarite correctly pinned her on the eavesdropping. How she kne--no, she couldn't have known. It was just a lucky guess, a goddamn lucky guess. That brat didn't even go to the same school; there was no way she'd have been around, no way she'd have caught Nea.
"For someone who talks so much s**t, you certainly don't act on it when the timing's right," she huffed, glaring as she drew in closer. "I don't get why he even bothers with you, you're nothing but a little tart who's too chicken to actually do anything worthwhile. I mean, you're not even old enough for him!"
She was within inches now of the other girl's face, her orange eyes giving the slightly shorter woman the best venomous stare she could. "I don't have to remind you what I've accomplished in the past. I think the fact I own a former Senshi's Guardian should speak volumes of what I'm capable of."
Ursula knew Linarite, nor anyone else for that matter aside from Obsidian, had no idea what happened the night she obtained Grendel. And, if she could continue having it her way, none of them would ever find out. "But you... you little..... twit, you can't even manage a star seed and yet you're still holding onto that little squeaker?"
The question hung in the air, the answer a mystery to both parties. It frustrated Nealite that this girl was considerable competition, both frustrated and annoyed. Did she think she was better than Nea? Is that why she was still here, still whacking away at things with her little toy hammer? Nealite had half a mind to do some whacking of her own, but a shattered mirror was not on the agenda for the evening.
Tightening her grasp around her own worthless weapon, Nealite let out a final muttered insult before turning her back towards the younger Lieutenant. She was done with this...this nonsense for the night. Linarite failed at obtaining a star seed, so there was no reason for Nealite to continue being forced to deal with her at such close proximity.
"Your time is running out, sweetheart," She called over her shoulder as she made her way out of the park. "It'll be a star seed or your head, soon enough."

What did age have to do with anything?! It wasn't like she was sleeping with the boss, and she was sixteen years old! That was pretty much legal in most countries! Not America, where she was a citizen, but that wasn't the point really. It was all Lina could do to keep her mouth shut and just listen to the extremely good-looking yet mildly crazy woman rage at her.
Honestly, what was she going to do? Beat her with the mirror? Mess up her manicure to scratch and claw physically at the teen? No, she'd just spit and hiss and stalk off, as she was doing right now. It didn't change Audrey's fury one bit. Fists clenched, she turned and kicked a fallen log as hard as she could once Nealite was out of sight.
"I can't believe what a shitty night this is! Can it GET any worse?!"
Little did she know how bad it was actually going to get, if she didn't get a seed soon. The bluenette could envision it though, and it wasn't pretty. Ugh. Throwing her hammer into the nospace where it existed, Linarite headed for home. Maybe she'd be there in time to sneak into a PUG or something.
