Favorite - Kaidan, of course 4laugh
Least Favorite - Liara. A bit too naive. And to me, she seemed like one of those people that's not very well-educated, but she spouts off nonsense and contradicts people when she's wrong. She seems to argue wrong points alot. O.o

My favorite was joker, because he's funny and he actually looks good with a beard. that, and i like seth green. teehee.
second place is kaiden, because he's the most relatable to me. when I played and talked to him, I was like, "yay, a video game character with migraines~" rofl
that, and he's voiced by the guy who did carth onasi's voice in KotOR, and Carth is the best.
I also like liara, because she's bookish and sometimes reminds me of myself. but she is a bit naive, i agree.
my least favorite.. hmm.. besides ambassador udina, probably ashley. I like that she's upfront and honest, but she's a bit hot-tempered and blunt for my tastes.

My favorite has to be Kaidan. Every character, while they are all unique, all fall into a cliche. The cop that wants to do whats best but is held back by rules (Garus), the army girl that has to be all tough to prove her worth (Ashley), the dorky nerd (Liara), the one that's trying to find them self and figure out what they're for/about (Tali) and the bad a** merc that everyone thinks is cool (Wrex).
But Kaidan is unique. Here's someone at a fairly young age was taken away from his family and put through a military like training program that caused a few of his fellow trainees to snap and/or die. Their 'teacher' starts beating the crap out of one of his few friends then turns on him when he tries to save her. Guy then tries to kill him, so he snaps and kills him first. Girl is terrified of him now, so he now becomes calm, self contained and fairly quiet.
His backstory is just so interesting and he's just overall a cool character. (he's the only reason why I bothered watching the final season of Prison Break because Raphael Sbarge was in several episodes.)
Least favorite was at first Ashley, but I came to hate Liara more because she just boring overall, can't fight well, and if I so much as look in her general direction people start thinking I have a thing for her.

I think this was before I played mass effect. i don't remember though.

Demon Days Heh, I saw raphael sbarge in an episode of ghost whisperer, and I was like "OH MY GOD THAT'S CARTH ONASI rofl " I think this was before I played mass effect. i don't remember though. I'm glad to find people that actually like Kaidan. Everyone on the Bioware forums seems to have something against him. I'm the same when I hear Raphael Sbarge! rofl I was flipping channels one day and I saw him on 'Days of Our Lives'. I think he was a cop, or somebody with the FBI, and I was like "OMG, OMG!! It's Kaidan!" Yeah, guilty as charged, I'm a Kaidan fangirl rofl

Fav squad=Ashley...While I understand some people think Kaidan is more human, which is somehow true, you need a counterpart...contact with the other race is only 26 years old (If memory serves me well)
She represent a side that is rather insecure with other species...
I don't think she need to be all tuff to prove her worth, I think it is more adaptation to being with aliens, to wanting to performs. She also represent the side of humanity that is "Let got trough the wall and not around it" which seems to be what most military thinks like.
Straight in your face no b.s....I dig that.
Blunt and hot tempered...mmm...wait...I heard that about me a bit too many times. lol
(For the migraine, well, I don,t think Kaidan's are caused for the same reason as you say. lol)
in non squad members...JOKER! Seth Green...what else need to be said?
Disliked squad members? Liara just seem rushed personality wise...she really have good cutscenes with certain characters but I dunno...and she kind of have a bit "Fan service" written all over her...I dunno...Just a general feeling.
Gimme an assari commando to replace her will ya? lol
(Tho my character is more or less as close as can be...bionic with assault rifle spec maxed? Woohoo!)
I like Kaidan but he i not very original to me...Orphan, dark past, escaping it by being silent...Isn't that like present in over 75% of the jRPGs?

The Esper Terra I like Kaidan but he i not very original to me...Orphan, dark past, escaping it by being silent...Isn't that like present in over 75% of the jRPGs? Both of Kaidan's parents are still alive (as far as I know.). If you have Kaidan with you in your squad on Noveria, if you keep talking to him at one point he'll say "My mom was right; I should have brought a sweater!". (I started laughing so hard at that point, along with "I think I have snow in my boots!". Both were just so damn dorky sounding!) And when you talk to him on the Normandy, when he talks about the begining of the BAaT training, he mentions that Vrynus told them that he killed their fathers, but Kaidan corrected him and said that his father never served in the war. (It's the father I'm uncertain about still being alive or not.) And he doesn't escape his past by being silent, he's pretty quiet because he's always trying to keep himself under control.

My favorite characters were Wrex and Liara as for least favorite characters. On my squad I don't really like Kaiden but off of my squad I hate Anoleus.

OMG I have a few fav's, I thought Ashley kicked a** 'cos she was a girl, but then I like Kaidan too :] It used to be 'cos his voice actor did Scorch from Republic Commando, but he's also pretty cool.
Then Wrex and Garrus, 'cos they're adorable aliens!
But I don't really like...Liara? Meh, I dunno, to me she just seems not as much of a fighter as much as the rest of the Normandy crew. Know what I mean, I don't hate her, but I just don't find her that interesting--not like the other Asaris I've seen anyway xd --LOL but yeah.
Like fem Shepard said, "What's not to like?"

He's a smart-mouthed, humorous clone trooper in this game, he sounds a lot younger in this game too. You should check it out for his sake in case you don't like Star Wars :] lol

i actually liked liara propb because i was an infiltrator and its really usefull when your trying to snipe somebody behind a box and they start to float into the air but i also didnt like kaiden to me he was useless

I don't know what's up here, because Liara is awesome during combat. My favorite characters are Wrex and Kaiden, least favorite is Tali, for no particular reason. But personalities have improved majorly in ME2. My favorites are gonna change, I know I'm loving Grunt right now. He is so not what I expected from the previews. I have to admit Jacob and Miranda (More so then Jacob) annoy me.

Same here w/ the previews throwing me off. Didn't think I was going to like Grunt, Samara, Miranda and such, but guess who's almost always on my team? (Miranda and Grunt. Thought I was going to have Thane more though.)
But the preview for Zaeed made me hate him and playing the game makes me hate him still. (At one point he started barking orders at me, so naturally I started yelling at the tv that he was a hired merc and I was the Commander for the mission. Ragging on his Aussie-ness, I started to realize that I might have been playing the game for a bit too long. I ignored the thought and played for a few more hours.)

I didn't like Ashley in ME1, but I pitied her on Virmire because of her grandfather being the only human to surrender in the turian-human war, liked pretty much everyone else.
In ME2, I hate all the old ME1 crew members besides Garrus, Tali, and Wrex. (And Joker and the Doctor if you count them)
