Beauty and the Woods(forest) Beast
.........
Once upon a time, in lands far away, there was a great forest. And hidden in this forest there was a castle surrounded by a beautiful garden. And in this garden there grew roses beyond compare.
But, in the castle, there lived a great and terrible beast who kept watch over the garden and all that grew within.
It came one day that a man should happen upon the castle of the beast of the forest. He was a timid man with trouble speaking clearly. The man saw the garden and thought to pick a rose for his daughter, for she was as lovely as any rose.
As he made to leave the garden, the poor man was stopped by a horrible sight. There before him was the woods beast. It towered over him, it surely had to be more than six feet tall! Covered in fur with a terrifying face that would scare most grown men and small children.
"What, pray tell," Said the beast in its terrible voice, "brings you to my garden and possess you to steal my roses?"
The poor man was terrified, and rightly so, for the beast was glaring at him with ill will and malice.
"P-p-p-pp-please, g-g-gg-ggood b-bb-bb-b-beast, i m-m-mmeant n-n-n-no harm. I-i-it is b-b-b-but one rose."
The poor man cried, falling to his knees.
"F-f-ff-for m-m-m-my dddaughter."
"You must work in the garden until the rose has been replaced." The beast rumbled in its great and horrible voice. "Failure to comply will be met with great anger!"
The poor man agreed to stay and work as a gardener.
"B-bb-bbbbut p-p-please, let m-m-mme f-f-f-first r-r-returen home s-s-so my dddaughter ddoes n-not c-c-come l-l-looking for me."
"So be it."
The poor man fled for his life. Once home he explained the situation to his daughter. His daughter sent him to bed for he was quite exhausted from so much fear and running.
She then packed a few things and went to talk to this beast. Surely he was over reacting about the flower and surely he could be reasoned with like any other man, or so she believed.
But the young woman had never dealt with a beast before, nor had she heard of anyone who had.
