Thal:
Kohana stepped slowly over the broken rocks and dry soil as he decended the rockey ledge that led away from the shadow clan's territory. Eeva was officially their leader...his baby sister now the head of the shadow clan. She would soon take a mate, raise her own family, and have a life of her own. He...had his duty. Both to her and the rest of the clan.
The large lion stepped heavily onto the dry grass lining the base of the slope. His tongue rolled over his dry chops. He needed a drink and a good walk before he set out to watch.

Stepping food into the territory of a pride was, perhaps, not the wisest thing that the young lioness could do. And she did know that she tread upon claimed lands. But, the scent of water was closest in this direction. She could not trace it in any other. Who knew how far she would walk without finding another source? It had been too long already since her last drink.
Her tolerance was high, thanks to her seasons within the desert. But still her had her limits. Crimson eyes took a weary look around the rocky area, before she finally creapt forward to the water, brightly-furred body low to the ground in an attempt to stay un-noticed. With a relieved sigh, she quickly began to drink her fill of the cool water.
Thal:
He shook his corded mane out as he walked, one ear flicking through an itch that he couldn't previously address. He hated waking up and the minutes following. His body felt tense, his ears itched, his mane sat heavily along whichever side he'd slept on, and his mouth was always -always- dry.
He came to another series of ledges, these he cleared in a series of easy jumps. As a cub, he'd struggled to asend them by climbing and scraping his way to the top. As an adult, it was hardly enough to get his heart pumping.
He froze and slowly drew in a long breath....that scent...was most definately not familar. It was too early for this...
