The Coliseum is empty today. Perhaps it is a holiday. Perhaps the building is closed for renovation. Perhaps everyone is simply on vacation. Whatever the reason, the Coliseum is empty today, and the silence is absolutely petrifying. There is absolutely no noise... no wind blowing, no life moving... just absolute, deafening silence. The sky above is overcast, but there is no movement in the clouds. Everything is still... as if time itself had fallen ill, and was no longer able to move as it should...
From the skies above the Coliseum, a single whiff of cloud, much darker than the rest in the sky, falls very slowly towards the main arena. The cloud itself is very dirty-looking, and very dark, more than large enough to cover over half the arena floor. It falls slowly, and then... it simply stops. It waits for someone. Something. Who, or what?
Why the hell are you asking questions? You aren't even there!

((Just had a look at your profile... eek I might be in trouble in this fight! xd , is there death in this match? and can we use our powers to the maximum? I prefer no death coz I still want to use this character here in the guild if thats ok.))
By many warriors around Gaia he is known as Lord Rasarai the legendary Nova Knight. Ruler of the Fortress of the Abandoned the Knight felt a calling, felt a pull in his soul to come to this place. Leaving behind the safety of his fortress and the loving embrace of his goddess the Knight ventured forth to the location where he felt a battle of such importance was to be held.
Upon entering the Coliseum using one of the side entrances the Knight entered the arena like he would enter a battlefield, his armor shining a bright red under the suns glare as his red hair slightly danced in the slight breeze that was blowing. His cape billowed as his fiery red eyes scanned the arena. The Knight felt and knew something of immense power was in the colliseum today, and he knew that this battle would be a battle that would change the way he viewed his life for his mortality was at stake this very day.
((I'm guessing I am seeing the old man version of your character. You didn't really say which one you were sorry lol but i'll just assume for now))
What he saw with his eyes was a misshapen old man who didn't seem to have the strength to stand his ground in a fight against a small dog, but his senses told him otherwise. Underneath that pitiful exterior the Knight felt powers of unimaginable magnitude raging within. The Nova Knight felt a small smile appear on his face as he said, "You are the one...I felt as if I should be here. You are the one I must fight." Walking slowly towards him the Knight knew that if he showed just a moments weakness to this warrior this battle would end quickly.
With each step his flaming chi continued to rise within, feeling his rage roar through his veins the Knights fiery eyes seem to blaze angrily as he got closer and closer. The Knight stopped at a distance of 30 feet from the man and in that instant his fiery aura burst to life. Encasing his body with the power of his flaming chi the Nova Knight stood there silently. Watching him with his fiery red eyes the Knight stood there silently waiting for a response as his flames danced around his armored body.

((Heh. You looked at the old profile. I really should post the new one... ninja
As for powers, I'm not going to limit you any more than you wish to limit yourself.
And no, Diez will not kill you. But you will have to surrender part of your power to him if you lose. mrgreen
For the record, Diez has not taken ANY physical form other than the fog yet.))
Upon the Nova Knight's entry into the arena, the fog immediately begins to encircle him, placing him in the center of a circle about 20 feet in diameter. The mists never touched him, but simply encircled him as if billions of tiny vultures were prepared to devour him in an instant. A whisper emanated from all directions at once, converging upon the man that was Rasarai, echoing not within his ears, but his mind.
"Welcome... it is good that you have come. We may begin anytime you like."
With those words, the mists seemed to collapse inward upon Rasarai, at the last moment diverting their course to converge on a point just above him. The dark cloud that was Diez then focused itself into the form of a human being. Long, flowing black and dark violet robes draped his being, the tassles of which seemed to flow and eventually meld into the minature cloud of jet black mist which still swirled around him. His face was finely aged... not ancient, by any means, but just wrinkled enough to display an amount of wisdom and knowledge that younger beings lacked. His features were sharp; his grey beard looked as if it could pierce your skin, his eyes seemed to cut through the air like a blade, his nose looked fit to peck wood with. His hair fell down from his head loosely, to just below his shoulders. It, too, was greyed with age. The only other part of his body visible were his hands... incredibly thin and frail-looking, several dark blue and violet veins run the course of his palms and fingers, his fingernails long and untrimmed, from lack of use of his hands. This betrayed his identity as a mage; he fought a battle not of the body, but of the mind... of the will.
He silently coasted upon the air, coming to rest about thirty feet from Rasarai. The Dark Sorceror turns to face the warrior. Smiling, he bows to him, and speaks, his voice no longer a whisper, but a powerful baritone.
"What follows will be a test of all that you are, and all that you may become. Should you pass, you will leave this arena greater than when you entered." He rises from his bow, and stares down his opponent with a glare that could freeze the sun. "...should you fail, you will surrender part of yourself to me, and you will leave weaker... but perhaps wiser than when you came." The small cloud of mist twists itself around Diez, as he speaks the final words. "You may have the first strike. Make the most of it."
Diez stands in wait.

The Knights senses went into hyperdrive as he saw the mists begin to converge and reveal a mage of immense power. His smile slowly disappeared as his red eyes hardened in concentration when the person spoke to him. Clearing his throught and running his hand through his hair the Knight shouted, "I am Lord Rasarai, Ruler of the Fortress of the Abandoned. By this summoning I shall wage battle with you for it is as if fate has decided this contest." As those words left his mouth the Knight forced his flame powers to the maximum in this particular Tier. His flames surrounding him know were hot enough to melt steel as he launched his attack.
Blurring to his right with incredible speed the Knight appeared nearly invisible as his right hand shot up in front of him. 3 super-charged napalm flames shot out of his mailed glove as his body shifted in and out of visibility. His aim for this attack was simple. One was aimed directly at the mage while the other 2 were aimed at the ground, one on the left just behind his body and one on the right just in front of him. Each of these fireballs contained the same explosive power as a stick of dynamite and should cause damage should they hit.
Whilst unleashing his attack the Knight lifted his left mailed arm and summoned his flaming chi to it, this was going to be his block for any counter the mage should do. As he sailed through the air at neck-breaking speeds the Knight planned to stop just 30 feet to the right of his position, by then his attack would have either failed or succeeded.

Three fireballs. A fairly simple attack to begin with... the mage saw nothing wrong with that. Three fireballs... how best to deal with them? Perhaps...
From within the mists, two baseball sized black orbs appeared, and launched themselves at two of the offending flames with more than enough speed to match them. The orbs themselves were physical objects, and would likely shatter upon impact with the fireballs, disentegrating soon afterwards. The orbs weren't the concern, however... it was the contents which should worry you. Each orb contained Nega... a power which Diez recently came upon during his experiments. Nega was essentially the embodiment of negativity; a concentrated energy vaccum capable of neutralizing all elemental attacks. The results of this power would soon be made apparent... as soon as the orbs impacted the fireballs, they shattered, disentegrated, and then... nothing. The fireballs simply vanished. As if they were never present at all. Two down...
The one remaining fireball was, oddly enough, aimed at Diez himself. Why he chose to ignore this one was beyond reason... it made no sense. At least, it made no sense to everyone but Diez...
He countered it as so... in synchronization with the neutralization of the two outer flames, Diez's hand came up, his palm towards the final fireball. The mists were rapidly pulled into Diez's body as a pure, black beam fired itself from his palm. The brilliant flame met the black beam in mid-air, and the force of the attack caused the fireball to explode prematurely, leaving Diez himself quite unharmed. Just before he allows the beam to dissolve however, a slight 'bulge' in the energy stream can be seen travelling back into Diez's hand, almost as if something was being fed into him...
The Dark Sorceror wasted no time on his counter attack. Rasarai was a speed demon; this much had already been made obvious. This would be the first of Rasarai's strengths which Diez would attempt to negate.
Throwing his arms out to the side, the cloud of mist around Diez suddenly and VERY quickly expanded to cover almost the entire battlefield. It was a veritable explosion of dark fog, which went out in a circle from the center of the arena. Diez smiled... he was pleased. He was still plainly visible to Rasarai through the fog; he chose not to hide himself, for whatever reason. The full expansion of the cloud took less than two seconds. As soon as it was finished, several strange voices began to fill the air... the Dark One was attempting to cast a spell!
The spell itself would take more than one turn to cast, and Diez did not intend to give his foe the chance to counter it. Immediately, a solid, black sword about three feet in length formed itself from the mist behind Rasarai, and launched itself at him with more than enough force to pierce through steel. Exactly one second later, another sword would form in front of him (wherever he was) and fire at him with twice the force. Finally, a third sword much larger than the other two (almost as big as Rasarai himself) would form above him, and strike at him with enough force to crack the very earth. All the while, the voices continued chanting...

((What a counter! Bloody oath!...I have to get serious xd ))
His opponent was something he had never encountered before, a being of immense magical power it was almost as if he was fighting against the might of his goddess. Though blinded by the power of the mists at this point his senses were not. Detecting that the mage had began to chant Lord Rasarai realized that something powerful was on its way.
Detecting energy emissions all around him he realised he had fallen into a trap when he stood still. Feeling the blade come rushing towards him the Knight instinctively turned around and blocked the blade with his left forearm. The Knights armor was made from one of the strongest materials on Earth and it was blessed with super endurance by his goddess, mere blades with force behind them would not destroy his armor. As adrenalin began to flow at even greater levels in his blood Rasarai began to lose his control of his rage as the second blade appeared. Spinning around to his right he diverted the force of the blade towards the ground, before he could recover another blade appeared and he knew this blade would damage him even with the armor around him.
"I will not fall!" roared Rasarai as his flaming chi burst into life. The ground began to shake as his aura became hotter and more fierce. As the blade came sailing towards him the Knight unleashed a sheet of flame hotter than the strongest Napalm bomb and incinerated the blade. Turning in the direction of the mage the Knight knew that he had to stop this chanting before it was done. Pushing his power to the limit the Knight knew he was on the threshold of becoming Nova. I don't want to have to use that... thought Rasarai grimly as he channeled power into his outstretched hands. Using his bright chi as a defense against any counter the Knight focused his power to warp the very atoms within his hands.
Unleashing high amounts of heat and power into the core of the atoms and then forcing them to split the Knight created Nuclear Fusion. Focusing his power even more the Knight knew that the Mage's concentration was elsewhere for he was still chanting. "Negate this!!!" roared Rasarai as a laser of pure Nuclear Power screamed towards the mage. The diameter of the blast was nearly 3 metres and it roared towards the Mage ripping the ground asunder with its power while it travelled at speeds faster than the speed of sound. Since the Mage was still chanting and the Knights position was only 30 feet to the right of the mage, Rasarai assumed the pure energy beam that had the equivalent power of 3 nuclear bombs would strike and seriously harm or destroy his opponent. Whilst the beam warped towards his target Rasarai aura was almost at the same heat level as the surface of the sun, all the stress and all the power he had felt from the mage was reacting with his Nova power, it wanted to come out and match the Mage blow by blow, and Rasarai was barely controlling it at this stage.

The mists relayed every one of the Nova Knight's actions back to their master. He could feel Rasarai's power growing immensely, feeling every ounce of his rage as it began to push upon the outer walls of his heart and mind. The Nova Knight was risking losing control. Diez felt it appropriate to speak a cautionary word, but as he was not sure how much time he would have to speak, he does not actually say the words, but rather sends them out in the form of a mental message which Rasarai would hear...
"Be careful of rage, young one. Though anger may make you powerful, it may also make you predictable. The moment you lose control of yourself is the moment you hand it over to your opponent. Remember this..."
With that out of the way, Diez felt Rasarai's power grow immensely... so immensely, in fact, that he began to burn away the mists that surrounded him. He felt the heat coming from his body skyrocket... he was a force to be reckoned with, to be sure, but this was not Diez's first time around the block. The Nova Knight was a warrior; he was no mage. As such Diez felt it fairly easy to predict what he was about to do. And sure enough, it came. A big ol' beam, with more than enough power to disintegrate him as he was. But Diez was ready. As soon as he felt the beam enter the mist, he rockets towards the left with incredible speed. The beam incinerates much of the mist it touches, but misses the Dark Lord entirely. Meanwhile, the destroyed mist seems to release some type of odd energy, which flows towards Diez, and eventually melds with him. Exactly what was he doing? He comes to a rest about 15 feet from where he formerly floated... and his spell is complete.
He spoke not a word of the spell to his opponent. The Dark Lord wanted it to come as a surprise. The spell, creatively titled "The Dark Maze" was designed to put a very abrupt stop to Rasarai's speeding ways. It's effect was basically as follows; any time Rasarai set off to travel in a direction, a wall would materialize instantly from the mist exactly 10 feet in front of him in whatever direction he was travelling. The wall would be more than enough to stop him in his tracks; at least a foot thick, 7.5 by 7.5 feet, and highly resistant to all forms of supernatural assault, including fire. Diez hoped to see the Nova Knight crash headlong into the wall. He so loved it when that happened...
In the meantime, a counter attack was in order. Diez had just the thing in mind! Raising his outstretched hand once more, he fires a black beam at Rasarai. It moved fairly quickly, and if it hit him, it would greatly decrease his fiery aura, as well as smack him a considerable distance from where he was. Once again, however, a relatively simple attack hides a very notable complication... a basketball-sized black orb forms behind Rasarai. Should the Nova Knight dodge the beam, the orb would be right in line to catch it. And catch it, the orb would. The orb's purpose was to absorb the attack every time it missed, and throw it back at the Nova Knight. Each time the attack missed, the orb would teleport to catch it and throw it again. Each time the attack was thrown, it would travel a little faster, and be a little stronger. It would continue in this fashion until either the beam hit, or the orb was destroyed. This attack, combined with the Dark Maze spell should make this next turn fairly fun to watch, if nothing else...
((I feel the need to make a note of this. Diez's mist has a very powerful corruption effect which has been taking place since the battle began. Each time you use an elemental attack, it destroys part of the mist. The destroyed mist releases a certain type of energy, which contains data from the attack. It goes back and melds with Diez, and after a certain number of these, not only does Diez immunize himself from the element, but he also begins to produce his own corrupted version of it. It takes... 5 turns for the effect to complete. The effect has been active for two turns (neutralizing the fireball, the giant beam). So you have three turns left before Diez becomes fireproof.
As an added non-bonus, if this attack hits you, the number of turns decreases by one. sweatdrop I hope I'm not going overboard...))

((Tell me what kind of mist are you using right now? Is it indestructable kind of mist that cannot be destroyed? Because I think its time to take it up a notch. This is so much fun! and about the giving you a part of myself...what exactly do you mean? A copy of my power? or what do you mean there?))
"Impossible..." mumbled the Knight as his beam dodged the incredibly fast Dark Lord, the beam smashed into the side of the arena totally annihiliating the stone stands set around the colliseum. Before he has time to act he hears a message echoing within the confines of his mind. The Knight had had enough, the Dark Lord had severely underestimated the power of the Nova Knight. His was a power of a true star, the Super Nova. This was not flame but true cosmic power at its finest. His senses reached overload as he felt the walls begin to materialize around him. He knew that ordinary super flames were not enough to win this match, it was time he showed the Dark Lord why he was known as Lord Rasarai, the Legendary Nova Knight.
Rage and Adrenalin fused within his body as his power skyrocketed once again. Unable to hold in anymore rage and fury the Knight roared in defiance of this dark prison and unleashed a light so bright it shattered the entire colliseum. No mist, no physical matter within the mortal realm can stand against a Nova star and that was what Lord Rasarai was becoming. Feeling his armor melt and becoming one with his body the Knight's scream was echoed by the eruptions of stone and mortar around him. This Dark Maze will not have the power to stop his light for it was pure power at its finest. The Knight was becoming an avatar of pure fury and strength as he shone brighter than any star ever seen. The ground instantly became molten under his power as his light pierced the Dark Maze that threatened to entrap him. At this moment the Knight was now a destroyer, the human incarnation of a Nova Star.
Gravity in the arena had changed sufficiently now, he held in his power the fury of the Nova Star. Whatever trap the Mage had tried to do was now utterly useless, the beam of dark energy that the Mage tried unleashing simply was banished into oblivion with his Nova Power. The orbs that were sent to trap him were now totally vaporised as the Knight stood there floating above the molten ocean that used to be the Arena. Looking around calmly the Knight saw and felt the maze fall. In his mind he knew this maze was created to stop him at his previous tier of strength, but he was now a Nova Star. These petty little powers were no more than ant bites to an elephant. Floating over the molten mess he had created waves and waves of molten rock began to swirl around him due to his high gravitational resonance.
No matter what resistance the Dark Lord had to fire he was sure that the Mage would have either been destroyed in the transformation blast or become seriously injured. The entire field was nothing more than a molten mess as the Knight floated silently in his power waiting to see if there was any signs of the Mage left. Knowing that the sheer power at the moment of his transformation would have burnt away any traces of mist left the Nova Knight now had the advantage. The molten mess was emitting heat as hot as the surface of the Nova Star, the air around them was now supercharged heat particles that vaporised anything within a 20 mile radius. The only thing that is keeping this Molten bomb from exploding was the gravitational power Lord Rasarai was unleashing at the moment. Any mist attack that would appear now would be instantly vaporised, not to mention the searing light that is being emited by the Knight at this time.
Standing there quietly in the arena that was now under his power the Knight knew the Mages old tricks with mists and prisons will not work anymore, nothing can imprison the might of a Nova Star. Watching closely as the molten ground heaved and moved under his intense gravitational power the Knight looked around slowly as his light of intense power and heat shone and supercharged everything around him. Even looking at the Knight in this form can cause heavy damage now. Waiting there silently in mid air the Knight was now serious. This time it was the Mage who will feel the fury of the Knight.
((Um hopefully I didn't go overboard, I am assuming your mist attack was vaporised due to the fact I have to see what material in both fantasy and real world that can withstand the power of even a normal star much less a Nova Star. Also I am also assuming that your attack was only made for the previous Tier I was at. I am now at Nova Power, and due to the intense transformation of both super charged light, heat and gravity, not to mention the molten mess I have created I think you would be seriously damaged or what not...but if you have a problem with this please tell me so I can edit it))

((The mist is very destructible. But, it is the destruction of the mist that fuels the corruption process. In other words, by annhilating the entire cloud, you have just made a very, very big mistake... twisted
As far as taking 'a part of you'... we'll get to that when--- err, if you lose. xp ))
Diez was so looking forward to the amusing spectacle of the knight... but unfortunately, that little comedy show was cancelled in favor of a much more serious, dramatic display. The Dark Lord hated it when his favorite shows were cancelled...
He felt the Nova Knight's power grow... and grow... and grow... and then he was blinded. The mist was being destroyed at an incredibly rapid pace, and he could feel the heat rise to dangerous levels around himself as well. He began to attempt to form walls between himself and the flames, but the walls were being evaporated upon formation... he had no other choice. The energies from the destroyed mist began to flow into him as he tried desperately to put as much space between himself and the Nova Knight as possible, quickly directing the fog to try and absorb as much of the punishment as he could. The Nova Knight's burst of newfound power was more than capable of destroying the entire cloud, which was, coincidentally, exactly what he needed at the moment. He could feel his skin begin to scorch as the last of the mist was destroyed...
And then, for a moment, the arena was silent. The Dark Lord was nowhere to be seen. And then... a faint echo. An odd sort of repeating sound that was difficult to decipher at first... it was low, at first, but as time grew it became louder and louder, until it was obvious the nature of the sound; it was laughter. Sinister cackling which would freeze the blood of even the hottest of hotheads. The Dark Lord was far from gone, as his voice echoed through the destroyed arena.
"My, my, what an explosive temper you have! But any child can throw a temper tantrum. Still, you and your little episode broke all of my toys. I suppose I'll simply have to play with yours, for now..."
With those words, exactly half of the arena's lava turned jet black. And from this dark lava, the Dark Lord rose...
For every ounce of light the Nova Knight produced, Diez seemed to suck it in as an enormous aura of pure darkness seemed to stream off of him now, sucking in the light as it hungered for it. Dark violet flames streamed off of his being now, as he stared down the Nova Knight with not even an ounce of fear in his eyes.
"Nova Knight... say hello to the Black Hole Sun."
Diez raises his hand above his head, and suddenly, six man-sized orbs of black lava emerged from the magma sea. In the blink of an eye, they surrounded Rasarai, and blasted towards him from every direction with violet flame. But this fire was not like Rasarai's flame. No... this fire would bypass his armor. It would not be effected by his flaming aura. This fire would go through his skin, through any solid defense he could muster, and engulf his very soul in an agonizing inferno. It would burn his very essence to cinders, not harming his physical body, but causing such hell to his mind and aura that he would be in no condition to fight should he be burned too greatly.
Diez poked fun at Rasarai, but truly he was impressed by the power the young knight had mustered in this battle. He had great potential... he just needed to learn a little self control.

The Knight stood there silently as he watched passively as the Dark Lord appeared out of the molten rock that his power had created. Realizing now that he too had somehow obtained flame power the Knight simply smirked as his body radiated light brighter than the sun. He was surprised the Dark Lord could stare at him directly due to the fact he was unleashing light strong enough to burn anything to cinders. But the Knight saw the Dark Lords power as if it was rivaling his own. A corrupt being filled with the same power he used to burn the fog to cinders, his darkness corrupted the flames and the Knight knew this was a flame that he couldn't absorb. But nontheless this was still a flame.
Detecting energy emissions from below the Knight barely had time to register the orbs that silently surrounded him. His blazing eyes narrowed in anger as violet flames spat out of the orbs in the hopes of burning his life essence. The Nova Knight maybe young but he was no fool when it came to battle. Dancing to his left at frightening speed the Knight dodged the first of the flames before he had to maneuver his body to somehow dodge the rest. But his evasion did not last too long, one of the flames shot out and burnt his arm and he felt pain nothing like he had ever felt in his life. Anger burnt outside the void and flame he had created and pain also danced around it. The Void and Flame was a mind technique that was used to control the body like it was a weapon. In this form even pain from a spiritual nature could not harm him, it could kill him but not stop his rampage. His rage filled the flame and unleashed a void in his mind to protect him. Enraged beyond belief at the attack the Knight used his super speed to dodge the last the flames before flying into the air to prepare for a counter attack.
His mind worked mechanically as he forced his Nova Powers to blaze defiantly against the Dark Lords powers. The Knight focused his powers and started to become a massive gravity well of his own. Focusing the power of gravity upon the body of the Mage the Knight knew that since this Mage was a physical entity he was still subject to the laws of this Universe, and gravity was the one force that everything in this universe swears fealty too. Knowing the Mage would be pulled towards him at a speed faster than sound the Knight made his move.
Focusing his powers of Nova into a physical stance the Knight charged towards the Mage at the speed of light. This was now achievable due to his near infinite amoung of power that was raging in his body right now. Knowing this speed was more than fast enough to bypass even the most heightened of senses the Knight cocked his arm and prepared to smite the Mage into oblivion. At this speed and at the gravitational pull the Knight was unleashing the punch would have the same destructive power as a large comet smashing into the Earth, and totally destroying it.
Should the Mage miracously dodge, block or survive the attack the Knight with the same amount of power and speed would simply turn and warp back towards the Mage and unleash the same attack. The Knight now knew that using energy against his foe was somehow benefiting him, its time to use the skills he was born with. The Knight decided he should smite the Mage with his near god-like strength and speed.

((Edit time!))
Rasarai would soon find that the Black Hole Sun was producing a powerful gravity field of his own... one designed specifically to keep Rasarai AWAY from him. Diez had no trouble resisting the Nova Knight's gravity attack, but his incredible burst of speed almost caught him off guard... almost. The Knight was travelling towards him incredibly quickly, yes, but Diez's gravity field was actively pushing everything away from him at an incredible speed. Thus, when his opponent entered his gravity field, his speed reduced dramatically. Yet he still pushed onward... deeper and deeper into the field, slower and slower, until finally, he came to a stop... just inches away from reasonable smiting distance of the Dark Lord. He smiled at his opponent for a brief second, as he floated helplessly nearby.
"Get... OUT!"
With that, the Knight was expelled from Diez's field of gravity at a speed equal to that which he came in. With one, crucial difference... during Rasarai's entrance into his field of power, Diez had raised up several spiked pillars from his part of the lava, hardening them into an almost unbreakable form right behind him as he traveled. Rasarai was now heading for them at the speed of light, which, as he knew well, was well beyond even the most heightened of senses. Should he impact them, he would likely shatter them, but he would almost certainly shatter himself as well...

((Um I just wanna know something. You said that the mist you used before only absorbs elemental attacks right? How is it that you became a sun? All the attacks I gave you were sheer elemental flame attacks and even the transformation from Flame to Nova was still just brilliant white flame. How is it that you became a sun from simply absorbing my flame attacks? I just need you to clear that up because its kinda confusing me at the moment. But I will still post a counter.))
The emotion of surprise danced along the edges of his consciousness as he saw he was brought to a standstill. Watching his opponent silently he felt the true force of anti-gravity. Feeling his Nova body rocket in the opposite direction at the speed of light the Knight could do nothing about the pillars of spikes that were appearing in his path. The Knight smashed and burned straight through all pillars as he finally used his Nova Powers to gain control of himself. Flying and stopping at his part of the arena the Knight hovered just above the molten magma and watched the Mage silently. In his mind he knew that nothing in this universe could stand the heat of a Nova and no walls or spikes or hardened materials can withstand a Nova.
"This battle is one of the greatest I have ever been in..." muttered the Knight as his blinding light fought desperately to reach the Dark Lord. To an innocent bystander that has the abilities to watch such a fight all that person would see is a pillar of light standing against the might of an invading darkness. What was happening in the stadium tonight could be compared to the constant battle between light and darkness. And in his mind Rasarai knew that he had to win, this man was just a mage, he copied his power and corrupted it. He knows in his heart that the original is always better than the copy.
Lifting both of his shining arms the Knight once again focused his power of gravity upon the molten lava below. Moving his right arm slowly in the direction of the mage he aimed his lava creations at him. Summoning at least 50 car-sized orbs of molten Lava the Knight used his gravity powers to throw the lava bombs at near light speed at the opponent. Knowing these bombs would slow down and eventually stop due to the gravity field generated by the Mage the Knight built a small surprise in each of them. As the Lava Bombs rocketed towards the Mage the Knight used his powers to fly high into the air and fly just on the tip of the Mages gravity field so he was perpendicular to the mage, traveling at light speed the Knight saw his attacks closing in as it was starting to slow down.
His attack was about to commence. Each of these lava bombs had the same explosive power as one small star as they entered the field. Using his control on the lava bombs he detonated each of them as soon as they came to a stop in the field. Such explosions would disrupt the Gravity field in such a way that it would be weak enough for him to travel straight through and smash the Mage.
With his power blazing once again the Knight charged into the darkened gravity field to unleash the blazing punch of the Nova, traveling at light speed towards his target the Knight blazed furiously against the darkness that surrounded him. Knowing that the gravity field would be sufficiently weakned the Knight blazed towards the mage from above at light speed knowing that his attack should succeed, the attack had enough power to shatter his body for it had enough power to smite a planet into oblivion.
((Don't you just love using super unrealistic powers? mrgreen ))

((The mist can absorb pretty much anything it considers 'supernatural,' but the absorption wasn't what triggered Diez's transformation. It was the energy released upon the destruction of the mists, and if I read correctly, the gravity of the arena had changed significantly when most of the mist was destroyed. The mists simply registered the gravitational powers as well as the flame ones, enabling Diez to copy both. ninja ))
The attack worked beautifully, to Rasarai's credit. Diez, concentrating solely on deflecting the enormous explosions caused by the Lava Bombs, failed to notice the falling star headed straight for his face with murder in mind. The bombs blasts were largely deflected outwards, but the gravity field was distorted just enough to allow Star Boy to get his licks in. The destruction was quite complete; it was doubtful that the mage felt anything when the might smiting caused his body to disintegrate with the sheer force of the attack.
And thus it was that the Dark Lord Diez was defeated.
Sort of.
Oh, sure enough, the mage's fragile body was utterly annhilated in a single blow. But really, what sort of mage goes into a situation like this without some sort of back-up plan? The gravity field Rasarai had intruded into would suddenly shift from an outward push, to an inward pull, holding him right where he was. As he floated helplessly in mid-air, no doubt somewhat confused, as his foe should be a little too dead to still be effecting him, he might notice a familiar face smiling at him... from the lava. The visage of Diez appeared now in the magma bed upon which he was smitten. It was all too obvious what had happened... Diez's body was destroyed, and thus, he had found a new one. He was now one with the dark lava that he controlled.
The Second Form. No self-respecting villain is without one!
And with the gravity field holding Rasarai in place, Diez uttered just one word before he commenced with a smiting of his own.
"Burn."
And then it began. EVERYWHERE there was the violet flame... above him, below him, to his right, his left, his north, south, east, west... how could there be any escape? The fire converged on him instantly; no travel was involved, it simply was at one place, and then another. He would long for death, but death would not come to him... he would simply continue to burn until he submitted to the Dark Lord's will. To add to his pain, hundreds upon hundreds of man-sized orbs emerged from the lava bed, and used the gravity field to propel themselves at Rasarai's helpless body from every direction at speeds unthinkable... they would batter him into a pulp. And as if all that weren't enough, Diez's gravity field intensified itself by a hundred times, aiming to crush the Nova Knight's body into the size of a baseball. The eyes simply watched from below... and the face continued to grin. It would all be over soon...
((Note that even if you do die (because these attacks are obviously quite lethal), I will resurrect you, because I'm nice like that. >_>))

((whoa...i smited you and you still live...diabolical...hehehehe I ain't gonna fall that easily damn it! hahaha twisted ))
He finally did it, the Knight managed to smite the arrogant mage into oblivion. In his mind he believed that the battle was over. He had won...or had he. In an instant he felt the gravity well increase in power and secured him tight. Realizing he was in danger the Knight forced his gravity powers against the enemies in the hopes of moving at least. The mage copied his powers to the same extent, meaning that his gravity powers are equal to his, his aim was to at least nullify the power before it was too late.
The same super spirit flames began to appear around him as he heard the Mages voice whisper in his mind. Realizing that he had to act quickly the Knight unleashed the full force of a Nova Gravity well. The purpose of this attack is to create an anti gravity well so great that it matched the one that had him pinned, even though the gravity that held him there was getting stronger Rasarai's would also get stronger meaning that eventually it would be nullified. And sure enough it was but not without sufficient damage to the Knight.
Even though the Knight was within the Flame and Void of his mind and even though he was within the raging power of his nova the the spirit flames engulfed him. Searing pain burnt into his soul as pain unlike anything he had ever felt before ripped his body asunder. The void fluttered and warped in his mind as his gravity force nullified the force holding him in. He had to get out of the trap before his mind trick collapsed or else he would be at the mercy of the Dark Lord. Screaming with unrestrained fury the Knight shattered his gravity prison and still ablaze from both his Nova Power and the purple flames the Knight flew straight into the molten lava the Knight himself created on his side of the field.
Allowing the rejuvenating effects of Nova Level Molten Magma recharge his batteries, able to absorb heat to heal himself the Knight slowly surfaced from the molten pool with his powers and body intact, his spirit had suffered damage to say the least but the Dark Lord would regret it completely should Rasarai's mind and soul be burnt to cinders, for that is the only thing keeping him restrained at this moment. As the Knight floated there he breathed in heavily the super charged air as his mind focused hard to keep in control the raging power that was burning within. He knew his mind and soul were now damaged. Focusing his blazing eyes at the dark magma before him he called out, "I can't believe...we are still standing...attacks like that would kill normal men..." Smiling softly the Knight blazed his powers once again.
Floating there blazing in all his majesty the Nova Knight watched silently as the molten mess below tried to consume the dark mess and vice versa. He realized that now the Mage was the molten mess, and this was proving quite difficult. The Dark Lord had matched and copied his Nova Power, he had one more trump card left but going to that form will kill him, and with his spirit in such a shape he would barely have five minutes in that form. And he knew from experience he would lose his mind to his powers and the entire planet they were fighting in would have become engulfed in Super Nova Flames. Calling out to his opponent the Knight said, "We have fought a great battle...as I have suffered sufficient damage you too would have as well, I have no purpose in killing you though my powers scream at me to do so. I call for a truce, or a tie if you will. We have both proven that we are abnormally great with our powers and you are the first to ever harm me in this form...I will stand here awaiting an answer." Whilst waiting the Knight began to summon flaming orbs that surrounding his body each of them was as hot as his body was right now. This was simply a defense just in case the Dark Lord deemed in necessary to attack him.
((How about a truce or a tie? Your call, its good with me either way...but I'd like a Tie hahaha mrgreen ))

((Diez isn't exactly the 'honorable' sort. He will leave you as you are... but you must give him a reason to do so. ninja ))
The entirety of the dark lava field bubbled and began to churn upon hearing the Nova Knight's words. Rising into the air, with the aura of darkness around it, the lava formed itself into a titanic face with which to look upon and speak with his foe. His voice now sounded as if it were spoken from the great earth itself, deep and powerful. As his lips moved, violet flame poured from his mouth.
"There is something that I want from you. I will not yield until I have obtained it. Whether it is given willingly, or taken forcefully is a choice I will leave to you." He pauses for a brief moment. "I require a piece of your immortal soul. Not the entirety of it, nay, not even a majority. I simply require a small portion of your essence. No more... and certainly no less. Will you comply?"
The face stares at him intensely, searching for his reaction. Diez truly had nothing to fear from this knight, regardless of his power. Even the young knight should overcome him on this day, the Dark Lord would yet live. It was not beyond his foe to defeat him, perhaps, but it was certainly beyond Rasarai to kill him. Diez had made sure of that a thousand times over...
((Brief Explanation: Diez fears death more than he fears anything else in the world. In fact, I might say it is the only thing he truly fears. He wouldn't have gone into battle with you today if he thought you would be a danger to his life. But the Dark Lord has taken many, MANY measures to ensure that his life is safe... at least for the moment. That's what I mean by 'it is beyond you to kill him.' You'd have to pull a munch of fairly epic proportions to get rid of him completely. xp ))
