Marshall didn't know why he'd done it, Why he'd decided to join The Ruins, The house he'd been staying in ever since Roxy left wasn't to far from this place, which meant Belle wasn't to far away either. He had no idea how he was going to tell the girl that he'd found a new place to live, he knew she wouldn't go with him. He gritted his teeth as he looked up from the note he had in his hand, He stood in the middle of the third floor and paced around some his tail twitching anxiously behind him.
Marshall wasn't one to confront anyone, in fact as he looked around this 'dirty' building he wasn't sure if he could stand here much longer with out freaking out about the germs and dirt that was around him. He closed his eyes and let himself think about painting, At least that would keep his mind off of the situation at hand. He'd listen for footsteps so he wouldn't seem like an Idiot when Tempo got here to talk to him.
Then his mind started racing again, What if he was stupid for showing up so early, it was still a while before sundown and yet here Marshall was. He looked over the note again 'meet me before' he read letting out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding he looked around chewing on his lip, Maybe he could paint white over the far wall that didn't have any fire damage, He could make this place beautiful even after the disaster. He walked towards the undamaged parts of the floor, and looked over them carefully, mentally taking notes of weither or not he would be able to change it, to make it beautiful.

Oh--was he late? He couldn't remember. This is what he gets for having the memory of a damned goldfish. Rushing up the stairs to where he had asked Marshall to meet him, Tempo panted when he finally pushed the door open to the top floor of the burned dorm building.
Though he was being quick, he was being quiet. And as he walked in, he noticed the kid wandering and looking at the unburned and stable portions of floor. He grinned.
"You said you were artistic, right?" From what he had heard, and what it had said on the application. "What sort of art do you do?" Right into business, he figured it'd be the best idea. Trying to catch his breath, the master began to circle the room, giving the kid space to move as he wanted, and pausing so he could answer Tempo. The forest cat kept his tone gentle, inviting, not wanting to startle Marshall.

The Russian Blue jumped at the first words Tempo spoke, Only because the young cat had been visualizing what he could paint on the wall that stood in front of him. " I paint." He muttered softly as he turned to face Tempo. He took in a breath and held it. He hadn't meet Tempo yet, but he had heard that the male was gorgeous, But he had not expected the gorgeous male to in fact take his breath away. He let out the breath he'd been holding and took in another. There was no way in hell that Tempo was Gay. That's what he kept telling himself so he wouldn't get his hopes up. He looked at the floor before he bowed to the other.
"Pleasure to meet you Master Tempo." He said clearly before he stood erect again. " Thank you so much for letting me come here." He added, bringing his pink lips up into a perfect smile he watched Tempo circle around the room. Keeping his distance from the other he waited for the master to tell him what he needed to do. Roxy had told him how hellacious her territory entrance had been and he was ready for anything.

Smiling brightly at the friendly male, he was surprised at how formal he was. Waving him off slightly, the male finally approached after the bow, offering his hand out to him in greeting. "It's nice to meet you, too, Marshall," Tempo laughed, "You dont have to be formal like that, though. I promise I dont bite."
Pulling his hand back, he crossed his arms over his chest and looked around quietly, the fiery light falling through the cracks and holes in the ceiling and walls.
"Well, first of all...the unwritten rules of life apply," he chuckled, "Just be respectful and kind to the others in the territory." Arching a brow at the expectant look he got, the forest cat just couldn't help but smile wider. "Honestly, there's no entrance exam or task you have to do. You look like a good kid, and I expect a lot from my territory members," Tempo was laid back. He didn't feel much like making them go through anything huge to get into the territory, "But...I would like to ask a favor."
Pointing to the in-tact walls, as well as some rubble that was large enough to be a canvas, he grinned up to the russian blue playfully, "I want you to make this room beautiful again. You're a painter...and I can tell you're interested in the blank canvas. Would you accept that favor?"

Marshall's whole face lit up at the request. A smile pulled across his face, " You want me to paint?" He asked almost breathless, no one but Belle had seen his art and now he was being asked to paint for Tempo, for his territory. " I'll do it no problem!" He told the other still all smiles, " I just want to know one thing." He said stepping forward towards Tempo, " Your sure that you want me to do this? You've never seen my work." He said slightly worried that the other wouldn't like his art.
He swollowed all his worries and nodded, " It will take me at least a week, but I can promise you, that I'll turn what's left of this place into something gorgeous." He said with a nod, " Is there anything you'd like painted here, I can do anything." He smiled at the thought, " I painted a gorgeous ocean scene from my little sister." He said smiling with pride at his accomplishments.

The kid's apparent happiness made him smile, glad that he could make the youth do the same. Lifting a hand to wave off the questions, he looked over the walls and cocked his head, "Nothing that I can think of. Just do whatever you feel like doing," he nodded, looking back down to Marshall, "I think you'll do well here."
Moving to crouch down near one of the standing corners, he pushed through the burned boxes and such, humming a bit as he did so. He needed to clean this place out. "Do you have any questions? You're more than welcome to stay in the territory, I do suggest you meet everyone though. I'll be attempting to have a get-together sometime soon so everyone can meet eachother." Pausing, he shoved a pile of burned papers into a box, "If anything gets in your way just toss it out of the building. We'll be cleaning this place up soon and everything is out."
Looking back to the younger cat, Tempo stood and crossed his arms over his chest, smirking, "Do you have everything you need to paint?"

Marshall cringed slightly, " No.." He muttered feeling like he was lacking something, He felt like he was slightly ill equipped at this moment. He was almost never with out his painting supplies but he didn't think about bringing them here. " There in a small shack just on the outside of the territory. I've been staying there with my little sister, I've been painting it so that it was beautiful. I'm sure that I can make something gorgeous out of this space." He told the other male his eyes landing on his feet. He was far to shy to be speaking like this with another male.
