The disturbing night had passed, and a new day began to show itself over the horizon. The castle slowly came to life, and like all life, it soon became chaotic. Bodies ran around everywhere, preparing for the banquet. The food needed to be finished, the decorations completed, the crew needed their wardrobe, and most distressing of all, their captain was feeling ill, and has been confined to her quarters, until she feels better. Everybody had something to do, and there was no time for confusion.
Thankfully, they had a member of the Host Club in the crew, Nils, and he proved to be most useful in helping to set up decorations. Tibarn insisted upon being the head cook, and eventually got his way, after he pulled rank over Vaida, who also wanted to be head cook. ...I think we're glad he got his way. In fact, Heath was doing all he could to make sure Vaida didn't interfere, which is not an easy job, it can be certain. Isadora was helping direct servants and make sure they got their job done, while Rath focused on the larger matters. Ayra was.... Well, Ayra was being held back by 10 soldiers, to keep her out of the kitchen, on Tibarn's request. I'm sure he'll pay for it later. Sophia was helping with the last minute tailoring on the crew wardrobe, and making sure each outfit was delivered to the right place. Huey was being a noble steed, doing noble steedy things. Thus, with the combined efforts, the tasks were all eventually accomplished, and peace returned to the castle. Now all that was needed was for everyone to get themselves ready, and then await for guests to arrive, which could happen at any moment.
Inside the ballroom of the castle, a beautiful sight was laid out. Banners, tapestries, sculptures, all kinds of decorations had made their home in the ballroom for this day. At the far end a long dining table was placed, for the crew and honored guests. Smaller tables were set up around the sides of the rest of the room, for everyone else. In the center, was for those who wished to dance. Many different foods native to both Learania and Adliana were waiting in the kitchen to be eaten. Outside on the balcony, vines were latched upon the walls, and the railing, and the view looked out upon the southern lands of Learania. All around the ballroom and the castle, generic soldiers of the Guard were stationed. Things were as close to perfect as possible, and things seemed promising for a wonderful day.
As Rath finished getting ready, a messenger came to his study, and informed him of the arrival of a special guest. Normally, he dismissed all others, while this busy, but this was important. He departed immediately for the ballroom. A number of other crew were already there, as well, so he went and stood beside them. The trumpets began to sound, as the ballroom doors opened. A soldier stepped forth and announced the arrival of the guest. Chieftain Songhua had arrived to Castle Learania.

"Set the pumpkins over there," Isadora ordered as she pointed the direction of where the decorations were. The preparations was nearly set and everything was going according to plan despite the heavy business the crew had.
With Nino feeling ill and confined in her room, Rath was in charge to make sure things were running smoothly. The paladin hoped that Nino would get better soon.
With the decorations all set in the ballroom, the paladin couldn't help but smile. This was the first time she was celebrating Halloween in Learania. Last year, she and the crew were confined in the prison due to Madriana and her morphs. Thanked St. Elimine that it was over. The paladin prayed that it would be repeated the same history.
Just then, she heard the trumpets. It seemed that the guest Rath had invited had arrived. Making sure she would give the proper greetings to the honored guest, Isadora headed over to the main entrance. She stood in position with the crew and the members as the doors opened. She let out a welcomed smile when she saw the guest entering.
"Welcome, Chieftain Songhua. We hope you will enjoy our party today."

Upon hearing the mighty trumpets and witnessing the door open, a man with a large smile on his face entered the room. His robes were white, and he wore a golden colored headdress, signifying his leadership. A sharp scimitar hang loosely by his side, as he made his way proudly into the room.
After making his way up to the crew, he stopped in front of them, clenched his right fist, and softly patted his chest where the heart is. This was a typical plainsman welcoming in Adliana, signifying that strength lieth in the heart of people. He then gave a hearty laugh and gave each of the crew members a big hug. It was clear there was no need for formality here.
"A pleasure to see you, my friends, especially on this, a day of celebration!" He boasted. "Let us share in our cultures and partake in the consumption of a portion of our harvest we have worked so hard to create!" He leaned over to Tibarn and spoke softly to him. "..I hear you made a special desert I am known for liking very much, and cannot wait for it to slide down my throat!" He then turned to Rath. "Ah, I see by your wardrobe that the plainsman in you still exists. That is good. Now, where is the little Captain? I have longed to hear her joyful laugh once more, hwah ha!"

Rath kept his composure, as he was... hugged. His encounters with the man in the past have become routine now, and it wasn't a big deal to him anymore. He made no reply, at the comment of his native wardrobe. Learania may have changed him, but his roots run deep in the plains.
However, he looked up some at the man, when he heard him ask about Nino. "I'm afraid Captain Nino is feeling ill, ever since she snuck into the kitchen and had a midnight snack of uncooked swine, a few days ago. ....She was told by the one who prepared it that it was cooked..." Rath glanced over at Ayra, with his peripheral vision, then looked back at Songhua. "I've requested that she remain in her room, until she is better. She wishes for you to know that she is sorry, and will make it up to you another time."

The Chieftain's face grew temporarily solemn. "Indeed, is that so? That is a shame. Deliver to her my deepest wishes that her health should return soon." He held up his hand near his mouth, pretending to tell a secret. "And, if she's in pain, simply give her a cup of nomadic tea! After all, it.. does help one forget their worries, hwah ha ha!"
Songhua patted Rath on the shoulder and walked by him. He looked around the room in awe. "Ah, a glorious setup you have made! The decorations are wonderful. Though perhaps not the fanciest looking castle on the continent, it holds a sense of beauty others lack." He said, with a bright smile. "One can easily feel at home here. There's an aura of happiness that fills every hallway."
He turned back around to face the crew once more. "Hm?" He held up a hand to the side of his ear. "Ah, I do believe I hear the sound of more guests arriving. As many greater men before me have spoken; let the festivities... begin! Hwah ha!"

I shall now demonstrate the Law of Sacae… Tribesmen fighting with all they have for the sake of one another! ~)Sue(~ Sue was one of the first to follow the crew inside the ballroom. It was good to actually have her father here, after all his time on leave away from Learania. The Nomad Trooper, out of habit came with her bow, her sword, and the traditional robes of the Kutolah tribe. Hopefully, being armed didn't scare anyone... nor did she want to look like the terror nomads were made out to be. Of course, worrying wouldn't change things. She could explain if need be. Instead, she made her way to greet her father and his new ally. "Chieftain Songhua?" she asked, as she approached him. "I am the daugter of Rath... my name is Susan, but everyone here just calls me Sue. I've heard much about you, and am glad to finally meet you in person." She smiled sincerely, nothing hiding behind it. ~)Nomad Trooper(~ Tell me, is your reasoning bent? If so, allow me to straighten it with my >--arrows-- > and o=|lllswordll>

...Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your will to live...[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ] →I'm late, aren't I? Oh goddess, I bet I'm so late!
Blossom had been running from the far side of town towards the castle, skirts rippling like an earthen wave behind her. It certainly wasn't Halloween yet, so that didn't quite explain the occasional glance she got for her choice of attire.
So, yeah, it wasn't Halloween yet. Did that make it a crime to go ahead and dress up in costume?
She actually had chosen to dress like that during her shift at the cafe, deciding that Hatmon would obviously appreciate creativity in costumes. It went over all right, at least, but now she was running for the castle. Can't be late! I haven't been to any sort of big party since Christmas!
Blossom skidded to a halt, boots gripping the cobblestones well, as she approached the entrance to the castle. She hurried in, reaching up with both hands to adjust the bandanna around her head. She'd have awful hat hair if she very suddenly took that off after wearing it all day, it wouldn't do to have it fall off, oh no! She also liked the tiny bells attached to the tips of the fabric; they let out the faintest jingles as she walked.
Blossom adjusted her scarf around her neck and tightened the strings of her corset--a pointless article of clothing to wear normally, given that there wasn't enough up there to require a corset to support--before holding onto her bottle again. It was a very nice bottle, clear and glass, with a single white star inside. Blossom had been out on contract some time back, looking for a lost item for her client (in an area known to be rife with bandits; they were the reason why someone was hired instead of the woman going out to fetch it herself, of course), and had located the little stone in the middle of her search. Perhaps it had taken some trips down the river and been worn down by the riverbed and waters, or someone had hacked at it and then left it alone to erode by itself, but it had somehow formed a perfect little star. So obviously, there was no way Blossom wasn't taking it for herself.
But enough musing about a little star that isn't even important, Blossom thought, smiling. Time for a party!
Blossom smoothed out her skirts, then started to enter the ballroom, looking quite happy with herself. She faltered after taking barely three steps through the door, seeing who exactly had arrived yet. Crew members, Sue, a... nomad she didn't recognize... was he the special guest? Blossom very vaguely remembered the invitation saying there would be a guest, she sort of stopped reading the invitation after "You're invited to a party."
And they were all dressed very nice, either in their traditional plainspeople dress, or in actual dresses, as compared to Blossom's... pirate costume. And was clearly not late, as they were the only people there.
"I... oops?" Blossom said sheepishly, face heating up until it spread across to the tips of her ears, matching the bright red of her bandanna. "I... I'm sorry, I... forgot it was formal dress?" She took a step back, almost looking ready to turn tail and flee if they got angry with her.← You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . your different Life?XXX You'd better forget everything. I was blessed with the gifts of the goddess, so show me respect! It's not every day that you stumble across a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ Victoria arrived around the same time as Blossom. She too had decided to wear her costume around: that of a traditional Etrurian Queen. She looked like she could be in formal dress too, not much a difference, truly. The bishop wasn't making as much haste as the others, knowing that one was never 'too late' for a party. Taking one's time could help relaxation.
That was the point of parties, wasn't it?
Those inside the ballroom could hear the click-click of Victoria's heels (not very high, but still heels) that she wore under the floor-long blue regal gown. She'd just heard Blossom awkwardly speaking how she didn't know it was an event to be formally dressed. "Now, now, Miss..." her brown eyes made their way towards the female Hero, Victoria's lips wearing a small grin. "I don't think it's all formal, despite how I look. I don't see anyone scowling. You're fine."ΘжElimine's LightжΘ If you are my ally, fear not, for healing is coming your way. Become my enemy and you'll be purged, and dead you shall stay.

We're part of a story, part of a tale... ... Sometimes beautiful, sometimes insane... ♫ ◄NILS► ♫ ◘══════════◘
Nils was used to setting up for parties. Being a member of the Host Club, the group that hosted some in the past, helped with that. Though he was tired after waking up early and forcing himself to sprint up to the castle from the house that he shared with his love, Hikaru, he managed to get his part of the job done with only a few moments to spare. He sighed in relief, slipping the circlet off his head for a moment to wipe it clean with the end of his scarf. After all, he had to look presentable, and having some big mark on it would be bad!
The circlet nearly slipped from his grip as he realized that he should probably head over to where the other crew were standing. He walked over as quickly and gracefully as possible while trying to slide the silver accessory back into place. The bard stood quietly, brushing off the front of his clothes as efficiently as possible.
When Songhua entered, Nils focused his gaze forward and politely smiled. Though formality was quickly cast aside with that hug, the polite smile didn't fade. He turned to look towards the entrance to ballroom, his face growing brighter when he saw Sue. A friend and a fellow member of the Host Club had arrived. The bard exhaled softly, as if he were holding his breath the whole time since he arrived at the castle.
He tried not to laugh when he saw Blossom. It wasn't that she was looking incredibly out of place... It was more like the fact that she was so bright red that really amused him. He would have reassured her that it was okay and that she was just getting into the holiday spirit early, but he didn't like public attention unless he was performing. Why else would he normally feel embarrassed about public displays of affection with FD?
He continued glancing around, hoping to spot a member of his family among the people entering into the ballroom.
◘══════════════════◘ ... No one remembers how it began...

The Hawk King had finally had his formal Phoenician Royal Scarf re-stitched, and it looked great, its twin strands twisting behind him as he briskly walked through the hall. As always, even when he wore a shirt it was open-chested, because it had to be open-backed. Shirts were just too small to fit his wings through, like he could do with his long jackets.
As Songhua offered the Nomad Salute, the Hawk King pressed his right fist into his left palm in front of his bare chest, spread his wings, and flapped them once as he nodded. A moment later, his face broke into a grin as he returned Songhua's hug, then laughed. "I hope it pleases, it took me seven tries and several days to get it right. First time I had it, it was prepared over an open flame... I honestly don't know how the cook was able to do that. Your people are incredibly talented." He released the Chieftain, then chuckled and made his way back to the kitchen to see that the racks of ribs were being handled properly, and he followed a few of his assistant chefs out as they carried trays with large racks of ribs and placed them carefully on the long table with the other entree dishes.
And then he spotted Blossom, and his face split into a wide grin. "There's always one," he snickered, making his way toward her. Poor thing looked like she was about to pop a vein in her face.

What was she worried about? Her clothes were perfect for a formal dance or a costume dance! Blossom pushed her bangs away from her face, face still bright red. "Y-You blend in with everyone else, what are you talking about?" Blossom whispered. She looked down at her shirt, her boots, then tugged at her corset, as if she could yank on the fabric enough and magically turn it into a ballgown.
Blossom squeaked in surprise as Tibarn approached her, though by now her face was slowly returning to its normal peach color. "Ki-King Tibarn!" she squeaked. "I-I didn't mean... I mean, I should have... I-I'm sorry," she finally settled on, holding her hand up, as if to ward the Hawk King away from her. The other clung onto her bottled star stone. "Whoo-oooh~"
Blossom wasn't alone in her questionable choice of attire. Ed ambled in with the rest of the guests, looking as normal as always: not in formal wear, not in costume. There was something a bit different about her aside from a tooth missing in her grin. Perhaps she was slimmer (if that was possible), perhaps leaner, perhaps quicker or sharper. But it was clear Ed was not exactly the same as before.
Slipping between two random partygoers, Ed wound her way to wherever the snacks were. She was hungry. Food first, tour later. The girl did glance over the crowd in search of this esteemed guest they were having. Popping some curious fruit into her mouth, her eyes traveled the faces of those present until she found one that was clearly not of Learania, adorned in nomadic wear. Yep, that was him. Who was he again? Ed wasn't good with public talk these days, being holed up in the library or out training all by her lonesome.
The fruit was a bit tangy, flavor unique. She immediately wondered what she had just ingested as the juice immediately began dribbling down her lip. Oops. Ed wiped it away, wondering if anyone would be offended by her clothing and eating habits. It had been such a stressful time that she was really starting to slip on etiquette. These days, Ed just read, slept, and trained. She usually put on her happy face but she was honestly very tired deep down.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!" "Stupid.. pain in the a**... formal party!" Vaida grumbled, as she slid into the first actual long dress she had worn in a while. "Screw your trade routes, and your.. your.. other things! Bah! Leave the nomads to themselves, it's bad enough I have to deal with subhu- ...laguz, every day!" Vaida paused. "What the hell am I saying laguz for? Dammit, this place is affecting me!"
Vaida got up, and looked in the mirror. She was looking ******** sexy. But, she still wasn't pleased. "Something is missing..." She said, as she looked around her room. A pillow then caught her eye, and she went over to it. It was a very fancy pillow, but she never could get to sleep on it. It had the most annoying fluffy boa-like trim around it, and it made her sneeze, whenever she lay her head on it. Wait, boa-like...? "Hm...." She then took the pillow and ripped the trim off of it, and flung what she tore around her neck. Going back to the mirror, Vaida smiled. "Perfect." She then looked down on the dresser, below the mirror, and scowled. On it, was a necklace with a chiseled piece of ruby hanging at the end. "..Dammit Tori." She uttered, picking up the necklace and putting it on, before darting out of the room. Well, she reached back in, grabbed her spear, THEN darted out of the room.
She made her way to the Guard's main area, and was pleased to see hardly anybody still there. It meant that they were doing the tasks she had given them earlier in the morning. she scanned the room, and found Mihira cleaning up. "Hey!" She yelled out, startling the red head. "I got enough men on guard. Get dressed, and go attend the party." The girl looked shocked, and simply stood there, so Vaida spoke again. "Don't make me repeat myself! Get going!" Mihira then hurried off, to go scrounge up a dress from tailors. Vaida chuckled to herself, shook her head, then departed to go make a few rounds, sneak a.. certain dish into the kitchen to be served, and check on her men, before heading to the party.

Ephraim ran his hand through his sea green hair before putting his hat back on. Why he bothered even wearing a hat? Because it looked cool? Nah..most likely because it had been sitting around collecting dust for quite a while. Why not wear it? He fumbled with the cuffs on his sleeves, slowly approaching the castle. Ok, so maybe he should have thought things through when they said 'formal'. Having part of his collar bone show was hardly formal...What can he do..the prince was trying something new..but even so this hardly seemed normal for him.
What was more unusual was the fact that he was wearing his mother's pendant. That's not something a guy would normally do, let alone show an old trinket. It didn't matter.. "I wonder if Sophia will come..?" Ephraim's mind suddenly wandered to that lavender haired woman.
Maybe? Maybe not? If Ephraim knew any better, Sophia wasn't much of a social person..let alone one to actually talk if he remembered. So it would be normal if she didn't come. He sighed, tipping his hat to the side a little and finally walked through in the ballroom. He took a quick glance around, it was starting to get crowded..just a little....not many had arrived just yet and it seemed people were just arriving or going to arrive later.

I ain't givin' in, no matter how hard th' fight before me looks t' be!
>{Leon}< Leon had come to the celebration, or rather, he was able to make it, as opposed to last year when he was hiding various people in Watch safehouses to prevent them from becoming Madriana and her morphs' Quintessence. He'd taken various pieces of scrap metal from blacksmiths all over Eyris, and managed to put together armor that was both within Watch regulations for battle protection, as well as the very same model of his hero, Anri. Not to be confused with the steed he traveled with.
One of the very many perks that came with his rank was choosing where he would be stationed at times. Sure, being a second-in-command officer was hard work, but it was times like these where one could actually wind down a bit that made it all worth it.
The young man's curious eyes searched around for familiar faces, after he left his trusted horse outside. Just before entering the ballroom filled with people in costume, Leon gave his steed a pat on the nose for all his service thus far. He just had this feeling that after the dreams he had last night that something wasn't right. In case that were to happen, the axe he brought with him was indeed real, but the "Falchion" was a prop. He couldn't use a sword to save his life.
He'd recognized Blossom and Ephraim from the mountain exile a few months ago, but no one else yet. During the times he was 'undercover', he preferred to lay low, so he just waved at familiar ones silently, and then quietly got a few of the many refreshments. That new cafe supposedly catered, and boy, was it heavenly!
>{Watch Lieutenant}< If ya just bel'eve, then... ev'n if th' world be torn asunder, vict'ry will be yers to hold!
