A bright morning to a perfect day. That was what Destiny thought when she woke up on the branch of a mossy tree. She rolled off the tree and fell to the dark green floor of the forest, a few fruits of the tree falling with her from her knocking them off their branches. She grabbed one and began to eat it while running through the knarled and tangled wood. The Sacred forest seemed to shine bright on the suns golden touch, the dew like crystals fused to the leaves they came on. Destiny continued to run, testing her acrobatic skills along with her morning sprint by flipping over bushes, leaping onto tree branches and jumping down from high canopies. It would have been, as she had imagined, the perfect day; Had it not been for the horrifying discovery that she made that beautiful morning...

As she reached the Holy Woods end, she found it the great, expansive plains. THere was only one difference. The grass over a certain perimeter had wilted and turned a strange purple, the few trees and brushes had changed and looked like a saintanous negative version of what they used to be.... all over a 100 mile area. What trully scared poor Destiny, though, was that slowly and steadly, the grass around the forest was beginning to wilt faster than what should have been hapeing....

it was spreading.

Name: Miguel Grei

Appearance: Human, normal traveler's appearance, medieval velvet swordsman's shirt with thick cloth vest, black belt with long hilt for claymore, baggy brown pants made especially to enhance mobility, Link-style boots and brown hair. He's 32 years old. (I thought I'd experiment with the plain-old-guy -with-sword a little bit.)
Bio: Miguel was born and raised in the slums of Chun City, where he and his lifelong trainer practiced and practiced to sharoen his skills. He never got a chance to use them, because his enemies would often see his heavy sword and back down quickly. The sound of metal crashing on metal tore a laceration in the desolance of the grassy plain, the sound eminating from a two0man skirmish in the middle of a scorched valley. One man, a darkly dressed theif with a small dagger and chinese blade had tackled Miguel and sent both of them careening down a hill into the pit of te valley, where he attempted to stab Miguel with his dagger. Of course, to any sensible man, them's fightin' ways, and soon a battle ensued. Miguel slashed vertically at the man, a mistake that demanded him to pput his shield in a very akward position under his arm to block the upcoming strike. Now the thief was on the offensive, and he made good use of his ability to dual wield, confusing Miguel with his sword and making quick stabs with his dagger at unexpected times. After blockin for at least three minutes, Miguel swiped at the thief's arm, and he was avoided, yet enough power was applied to take the attacker's sword from him. With the new advantage of a longer weapon, Miguel made a fakie stab at the theif's face and power drove him to the ground using his shield. He slammed the thief's wrist with the butt of his shield, stealing his ability to use the dagger againt him. He put his sword to the attacker's throat, and said, sinisterly, "what...in the hell...WAS THAT FOR?!" The thief looked pathetic, and whined desperately, "I just needed some money! I wasn't going to kill you! I swear!" Miguel's face never softened. "I don't carry money you idiot." The thief paused and looked at Miguel's waist. For the first time he noticed that it was true, Miguel didn't even have a wallet! "Now, I'm going to give you ten seconds to get out of earshot of me, and if you're not, I'm going to get my archer that's just over that hilltop," Miguel pointed to a hill behind him without looking, "shoot you right in the back of your neck." The thief never stopped to wonder why there would be an archer with Miguel, and instead took off in the direction opposite the one Miguel pointed, cradling his wrist in agony. (All I can think of, sorry sweatdrop )

*clap clap clap* (i likey your posty)

Destiny fell to the ground with a fwump, the grass floating up then decending. It was going to change...it was all going to die, her beautiful home would change into....into...whatever that was over there, decrepid and decaying; Destiny couldn't stand it.

Destiny stood up and clench her fist to her chest. "I just have to do something....anything...." She turned with a fwap from her coat and dashed off, through the forest toward the west. She came to the other side in 10 minutes and began running down the rolling hills toward the every growing city of Chun...

Twinkle. Soft little silver glints of magic dispersed themselves as the small, frail body of a strangely clothed fairy flapped her wings back and forth rapidly. At first she seemed mute, her face contorted into a look of puzzlement as she floated in mid-air. She was staring at a book that had strangely been propped up on a windowsill in a backalley of the industrious city known as Chun. "Well..." She giggled inbetween her sentance and then she giggled some more, darting to the left and to the right, keeping a vigilant look to the scorched, bitten, scratched and ancient book that seemed she had kept for several years. "That's interesting." She said to herself, floating to the left and right more.

A young woman had been taking shortcuts through the alleyway and spied the fairy, her eyes glittered with greed and she rushed over to the little Altissa. "Hello little fairy!" The woman said as if she were baby-talking a puppy or something.

Altissa's head turned suddenly, her eyes filled with rage and her mouth closing from her current laughter and became slightly puffed with rage. "Who are you calling little?!" She demanded, glaring at the lady and going to her book and staying close to it.

"Oh, no, I didn't mean to offend you miss fairy." She smiled, trying to show some apology. "Would you like to come home with me?" She asked, and Altissa could tell what her problem was.

"Noo." She said, her anger dissipating as she toutched her lip with an index finger. "But." She trailed, "Goodbye!" She said, smoke filling the air. The woman immediately began to cough being right infront of the blast, and she rubbed her eyes from the smoke. The last thing she saw was a woman dressed with the same clothing as the fairy dissapearing into the city streets. The book tightly clasped into both of her arms.

( gonk plx no hurt wit fuzzzzzz! Nice pics all!)
Miguel collected the dagger and sword. He put the dagger in his boot and carried the sword in his belt. He decided he'd sell the sword and keep the dagger for close calls. He began walking toward the direction he knew Chun City was in...but wait! He was in those plains for a reason! He'd been looking for a troll warrior, one that he had heard knew of a great sword...
Long ago his master had told him of this warrior, and that he actually fought along side him in what was known as the Apocalypse War. Miguel recalled his master saying, "That one vicious soldier destroyed five of the Dark Lord's minions with one swoop. He had a hammer...yes I believe it was a hammer, or some kind of mace maybe." Miguel would often look above the homey little fireplace and marvel at the sight of his master's tall, battle-worn yet shiny black boots, and wonder if the very same knife his master had used to slay a Dark Angel with was still hidden in their. He went on. "I remember im speaking of a legendary sword, one with a diamond handle and a golden blade. He said that it could slay any evil that would ever make earthly contact, and he seemed determined that someday, someone would need to use that sword in the defense of all the world round."
That was twenty years ago; Miguel was twelve at that time, and his master was at least 35. He had no idea how the man survived so long with the plagues and evil spreading across the land. There must be ome kind of secret he kept from Miguel.
He couldn't remember the details of the troll, but he did remember his master saying that he lived in a hidden cave somewhere in the desert.
After traversing the barren land for at least two hours, Mmiguel became ungodly thirsty and ravenous. He went on back to the town, passing a strange looking piece of rubble that he was too exhausted to even want to examine.
(O CRAP I forgot there were no grassy areas! Okay, let's say the hills were sand dunes, and the thief spotted Miguel cuz he hadn't made it very far from the city yet. He was standing still because he was surveying the land for what looked like a cave entrance. Sorry for the confusion sweatdrop )

With the book pressed tightly against her chest, arms folded across the book from the front, she sped through the town as if she were being followed by an angry mob. Her socked feet somehow remaining unscathed by the fast, rocky ground beneith them. Here and there as she passed people she would say a "Hello" or "Greetings" as she sped by, and evaded several clumbsy people that weren't watching where they were going. Specialy near the pub area. Starting to leave Chun City.

Reaching the outer limits in a matter of 30 minuets (She had been deep in the city), she stood just outside so she could look out and see in the distance black smoke rising from the Underworld entrance. What she called the "Dark Dimension Gate" was close enough it would only take a few days to travel to it, but her destination was a little further north than that. After she would reach Twig Town, she would go to the forests. But something awefull was wrying itself from the underworld gate, or so it seemed, like a spot it was quickly spreading across the fabric of the land. Her eyes were widening as she watched this slowly become this way. With heavily dark clouds and purple-black ground, she could not help but cry. For she was a forest spirit, and to see such life destroyed in an instant was a heart shattering thing. Now, she just had to see the forest. Turning into her miniature fairy form, she left the book behind and sped off with buzzing, almost hummingbird fast wings toward Twig Town.

**no no there is grassy plains... where it is yellow on the map is the grass.**

Destiny continued her sprint down the hills, ocassionally flipping down the green, slick slopes. She came upon the Homestretch, reaching ever closer to... BAM Something slammed into Destiny's forehead so fast that she fell into a roll down a hill. "My gosh, who threw the rock at me??"
