Today, Edes and his father were walking down a autumn colored path, enjoying the multicolored leaves that occasionally fluttered down from what seemed like the heavens. There were thick woods on either side of them, but every so often , a new path would open, and the lake could be seen from a distance.
After a few more rounds of rock paper scizors to see which path they would take. Noel told Edes to sit on a bench until he came back from the rest room not too far off. The spawn nodded, sitting down on the bench, waiting for his father to return.
Before too long, Edes heard a small animal not too far from where he was, crying for help, and couldn't help but go after the sound, wanting to help. he strayed far off the path, to find a little rabbit caught under a rock. He moved the rock, picking up the poor thing, cooing softly to it, before looking around. Everything looked the same from every side.
"Oh.." He murmured to himself.. He was completely and utterly lost in the woods.

It ...was to say the least a bit unusual for Pepper to be wandering around this far from the facility, but ever since he had contacted Luthor through the dream world he had wanted to go out and search for him for real. He had forgotten just how LARGE the world was outside of the facility and wished a bit annoyingly he had a scarf or something..it was chilly out here!
He was in a forest, he knew what tree's were but he had never seen so many all at once before. It hadn't taken him long to get overwhelmed and lost rather quickly. Climbing a tree (it was much larger than the ones back at home he realized), he attempted to see if he could spot the facility...or maybe the beach? Something he would recognize anyway... to no avail...just more tree tops...
He wasn't so foolish to think that he could just go to the very top he knew that the branches would break under his weight before long. So he was climbing back down and paused when he heard a soft voice from below. Looking down he...narrowed in on the one thing that seemed to stick out like a sore thumb here besides himself. The kid had freakin wings....how much more obvious did it have to be? Carefully moving to a large branch he looked down and then sat on it.
"Hey Kid...you lost?" he inquired offering a Cheshire smile.

Edes heard a voice that he had never heard before, and panicked. No no no no no!! It was just like his father said, one of those nasty scary old perverted men who wanted his LOINS!! What ever that was. But it was still frightening to see someone come out of the blue.
"No no!! No Hurt Edes!!" Came a flustered reply, and he quickly turned to run, and he ran and ran, all the while, clinging onto the little bunny in his arms. The next thing he realized was him falling to the ground with a soft thud, having turned to the side in just enough time so that he wouldn't land on the bun.
"I gonna die!! Daddy gonna be so sad!! No want daddy to be sad!!" Edes wailed, crying into the helpless bunny's back.

Pepper knew he was scary...but this was a bit much. He turned his head watching as the kid ran off screaming and saying weird things. Moving he went to climb down the rest of the tree and then jogged in the direction the kid had run in. He hoped that he ran straight...otherwise it would be horrendously hard to fin...d....oh..there he was. Fallen on the ground and crying like a baby. First impressions were a huge thing with Pepper, though he felt bad for the kid he also felt impatient.
"What are you mumbling about kid? Die? Who said your going to die?" He asked as he squatted down a few feet behind him so to make himself appear smaller and less scary.

Edes blinked and looked up with teary pink eyes, his ears lowered. He clung to the bunny, who simply nuzzled his chest in thanks for not squishing him. "... Not scary. Just naked." He murmured to himself, and he stood, shaking his head quite like how a puppy would. At his height, and because of how Pepper was kneeling, he was actually a few inches taller than the other now.
He took a step back, shifting from one foot to the other a bit nervously, observing the other in a less than intimidating gaze (the little spawn just couldn't pull it off; it just caused him to go crosseyed). After a few moments, Edes smiled and nodded, murmuring to himself a slight approval, before reaching out to pet Pepper's head.
"No no no Die. Edes be silly. You no hurt Edes, cause you are like Edes." He gave a wise nod, well... Just as wise as any child his age could, then took off his scarf, offering it to the half naked boy.
"Why are you nekkid? It cold outside. You are very silly for doing so! OH, I is Edes! I'm from da facility! Who's you?" Unlike most of the children from the place, he had no fear of it. He remembered being carried back and forth and sleeping alot. He remembered the sunshine beating down on him gently when the workers would let him sleep out side, and the soft feel of the blankets he was always wrapped in. He held no bitterness from that place, for he only remembered the good things, not the bad.

He had to wonder what was up with this kid since he had seemed to afraid and now was petting his head.
".....I'm not naked..." He snorted as he shifted and showed the rather torn up pants that he was wearing. Though he would much rather be naked, getting dressed was a pain...and the rips and holes in his attire were caused from his claws.
Leaning to the side he looked over the kid wondering how they were like each other...besides the fact both were strange looking compared to regular humans. He appraised the kid, he was young and then learned his name.
"Edes?" He echoed the name as if testing it out and he smiled, his mouth revealed the sharp teeth in his mouth. He made a loose fist with his hand and beat it lightly against his rocky chest.
"Pepper," He started as he leaned forward a bit his nostrils flaring as he smelt the kid...he noted the bunny and wondered why the kid had it. He pointed to it with one finger.
"....why do you have that?"

It took a moment for Edes to understand, but he did nod. "Okies. You is Pepper, like da sneezy stuffs. Nice too meet you!"
When The other pointed to his bunny, he smiled, holding it up to show him. "It's A bunny! He got hurt, so I tried to rescue him, and now he's my friend! Is.. Pepper my friend too?" He believed that since they were alone, it would be best to be friends.

Pepper ran his fingers lightly through his blond and black streaked hair and stared at the rabbit who was looking rather wide eyed in his direction. He somehow doubted the rabbit thought he was a friend. At the question of him being a friend he didn't reply right away. Too early to say he was a friend, not that Edes was exactly a threatening figure.
He shrugged his shoulders the bone structures moved with the movement it was eerie to see.
"You want to be friends with me?" He inquired after a moment and he scritched at a patch of rock like forms that were on his cheek before his gaze when back to Edes and he smiled.
"Sure why not? Can't have too many friends," he finally replied as he looked back to him and then smiled once more. Leaning forward he examined Edes and then looked around.
"Lost huh?"

Edes nodded, putting the bunny down in favor to take ahold of Pepper's hand, wanting a little bit of security. He watched with lowered ears as the bun hopped away, then looked up to Pepper, sighing.
"Yesh.. Daddy go potty, and I try to help bun-bun, but then I get lost! All da trees look da same!! What to do, what to do, Peppah.." He shook his head, his curls following him.

He wasn't really use to people taking his hand, normally he avoided contact of that manner since it meant that there was a good chance he could cut the person with has claw like fingers. Getting dressed was a serious pain. But he just allowed Edes to hold onto him, he didn't have it in his heart to push the kid away. Watching the curls bounce as he turned his head this way and that he raised an eyebrow and looked at Edes very seriously.
"Hey Curly, are you a girl or a boy?" He inquired and was tempted to just look for himself but knew that would be rude. Maybe when he was younger he would of just boldly of done it. But now he knew better. He wasn't nearly as concerned about being lost, he had keen hearing and eyesight...and wasn't particularly worried.

Was this guy serious? Well.. It was true.. He was really really girly.. "Hey hey hey!! I'm a boy! I know I no look like one.. But I is, okies!!" he puffed his cheek out, squeezing his hand.
"So.. Mr. Peppery! Which way should we go now?" His pink gay looked up at him, staring cuiriously, hoping that Pepper had a way to get out of tis forest. "See, Papa can't call out for me, Papa can't talk. So.. We gotz to find him!"

He found it rather numerous that the other protested at being called girl, well it was kinda hard to tell with this one. He certianly appeared to be a girl...no boobs..but that didn't always mean something. He felt the hand squeezed and wondered if the rocky skin bothered him but he didn't ask.
He looked around at the question, nostrils flaring as he breathed in the scents were still too new to him, tress, earth bushes random animals. His father couldn't talk? That's a perk and a annoyance all rolled into one. Well first thing first backtrack to where he found Edes to begin with.
"Come on Curly, if we trace our steps back to where I found you, most likely i'll be able to sniff out where you came from." He continued as he took a step forward back in the direction they had come from.

Since he HAD run in a straight line, it was relatively easy to find his way back to where the other had found him. He really didn't feel the rockyness off Pepper's hands, because his held it though his overly long sleeves.
"Hey hey, Mr. Peppy?" Edes looked up at him, smiling when they got to where they began. "Why you call Edes Curly? I not curly! I'm Edes!"

Pepper walked forward in a straight line he continued this way without speaking for a couple moments before finally drawn to look over at Edes and he gave a chuckle at the question.
"You have curly hair," He stated rather plainly, and I am not Mr anything. Just Pepper, and you can't even say it right." he laughed as he let his nostrils flare he found the spot where he had jumped down . He looked around after that before he went to gently remove Edes's hold from his hand. He needed to be crouched lower to the ground to try and smell out a trail.
"Why you don't like the nickname Curly? Kinda makes you sound like your a gang member."

"I has a speech inpeddedement. I try to talk like a big person, but cause daddy's moote, I not really have chance to talk to lotz of people. So I sound like... Uh.. A toddler." Edes shook his head once more, not minding it at all. The more he was with people, the more his speech improved. Sure, he was a LITTLE self concious, but nothing he couldn't help.
"A.. Gang Membah?" He laughed and put his fingers together in the shape of a gun, aiming for nothing in peticular. "Feed him to da phishes!! Phew phew phew!!" He pretended to shoot, then, he pretend to get shot. "Oh what a world!!" And then. He died.
Of course he was pretending, he held his chest in mock pain and fell to the ground with a soft thud. After staying still for about 5 seconds, he began to giggle like mad and flail around. "Like dat, Peppah?"
