This sort of place wasn't exactly where Ryhdderch would often be seen since the sand plus hooves could make for a bit of an uncomfortable and sinking situation given his size but he was willing to visit various areas in an attempt to get his boy more social. Rong was a quiet child, didn't seem to find his voice as of yet, and instead seemed instead to enjoy wanting people. He walked out to the edge of the water before he plucked the boy from his shoulder and lowered him down the distance between his shoulder and the ground before he plopped down himself. The sand was nice and warm, a contrast to the cool water that he rested his legs and hooves in, "Feels nice, you should be trying it Rong." He told the boy and gave him a little nudge forward. Rong took a couple steps forward and his chocolate colored eyes got rather wide as he felt the cool water on them. It was up to his ankles and he found himself happy that he was wearing shorts for the moment. He looked over his shoulder at his Father figure before turning to walk ever so slowly into the water. It was cool and it was pretty to watch, the way it moved and the way the sun sparkled off of its surface like so many gems... and then his eyes were going huge as he watched something to swimming passed him. He turned around to look at Ryhdderch and pointed at the creature in a demanding fashion. "Huh?" The minotaur leaned forward slightly to get a look at what had his son in such a huff before he set to laughing in an amused manner, "Fish, its a rather tasty sort of creature." He explained, not something he indulged in often given his kind didn't eat to much eat due to their not wanting to be associated with the Minotaur of Greece. They were their own clan after all and far set apart from those dangerous Labyrinth dwellers. The only thing they shared was a massive size, Ryhdderch himself was nearing eight foot while males like Duilius was closer to nine... it made Rong stand out so much given the boy was a couple of feet tall at best. Rong looked over at him for a moment before nodding, fish... he smiled before he set to following it around which only ended up with him wandering back and forth through the shallows as the small critter stayed a couple steps ahead of him. The show had Ryhdderch laughing in a wholly amused manner while Rong just seemed somewhat determined to catch the fish.

Just a short way down the beach, a significantly less serene scene was taking place. "No. NOOOOOOOOO!" the screech of little Bharani should be heard 'round the world, she certainly did have a pair of lungs. Earlier, Maggie had emerged from the single person, candy striped changing tent she had erected on the beach in a matching, what could only be described as "old timey" bathing suit. It covered her from shoulder to mid thigh, with cute little bows at each shoulder and a smart cap to match. Over one shoulder she had sported a white lace parasol. Maggie never did anything halfway. Behind her a very sullen Bharani had followed. Clad in the most horrific shade of pink (something of a joke on Maggie's part) the bikini stood out brightly against her dark skin, Bharani's troubles hadn't ended there. After 15 minutes of grumping, Maggie all the while trying to cox her into the water, and all the while Ani had refused. Finally abandoning her sweet parasol, Bharani had been hoisted up onto Maggie's shoulder, her tummy resting not so gently on the left shoulder, her head sticking out behind Maggie's back. Her tiny fists pounded against Maggie's shoulder-blades and her feet kicked as hard as they could. "Ah, see!" Maggie exclaimed. "You've already got the swimming down!" She was trudging slowly but surely to the waterfront, with the obvious intention of dumping the toddler into the water. "You wanted to come to the beach, and you'll not be wasting the trip!" she said. "YOU NEVER SAID I HAD TO SWIM. AND LOOKIT WHAT YOU PUT ME IN. PINK!?!" Ani screeched back.

Both Ryhdderch paused in what they were doing to look down the beach toward the shrieking of the small, pink clad creature. The minotaur looked for only a moment as he realized the girl wasn't hurt or anything. Rong though continued to stare, eyes wide. Wow... was that girl ever loud? He tilted his head to side and watched the way that she was getting carried along and seemed to be quite upset over the fact that she had to go swimming and had to wear pink.
He found his gaze going to the outfit she was wearing and wondered what was so wrong with the color. He blinked a couple of times and then shook his head. She kind of... reminded him of those large, screeching, black birds that hung out where they lived trying to steal the crops. He narrowed his eyes slightly to get a better look at her before he set to chewing on his lower lip. Now that he looked at her... she seemed to have horns just like Ryhdderch did! Did that perhaps mean she was a child version of what his Father was, interesting...
What else interested him was that she didn't match with her parent either, just like he didn't match Ryhdderch... strange.

Between shrieks of protest, Ani somehow managed to spit out just what she thought of Maggie at this particular moment. It was quite colorful, to say the least. Maggie's ears went a little pink. Blast, it had been ages since she'd heard a curse word uttered. She needed to bring Imbri with her more often, so the woman's strange affect on curses around under aged children could affect Bharani. It was a very useful thing, Maggie only wished it was a magical property that had accompanied her from her home world as well.
Finally waist deep in water, she set to prying the dark girl off her shoulder. Luckily her hair was tucked up into her swimming cap, or she feared she might loose a chunk of her hair in this endeavor. With both hands firmly around Ani's waist, she lifted her from her shoulder, with the intent to chuck her in.
Ani's little hands clawed desperatly at her shoulder, and when it was apparent this wasn't going to work, she set her back on her shoulder.
Bharani gave a caw of laugher. She had won!
Oh silly, girl. Maggie thought, smiling. She took a tiny step back towards the shore and the young charge's hands relaxed. Taking a deep breath, bracing herself against the cold, Maggie suddenly jumped up, angling herself backwards, hurling herself (and Bharani) into the waist deep water.
Bharani's scream was cut off as the two were submerged into the bright blue water. When they surfaced, Ani had let go of Maggie, in favor of clawing her way up. Maggie stood up, righted Ani and held her up (as the little girl could just barely touch the sandy bottom). She laughed at the little drenched girl and as she was walking her back to shallower water, she noticed the other pair down the way.
Still laughing, Maggie waved wildly at them.

Rong lifted his hands up quickly to cover his ears as the girl set to screaming again, a sound that was cut off as she and the girl with the brightly colored hair went under the water. He lowered his head only after the loud sound was cut off. That girl was... so very loud! He could help but stare at the racket she was making before he took to looking for the fish that he had earlier been trying to catch... but it would seem that it had vanished. No doubt the screaming and splashing had scared it off. What a shame he had wanted to see what the thing tasted like since his Father said they were for eating.
Ryhdderch gave a smile and a wave when he saw that the woman was waving at them and given it seemed that Rong wasn't going to social quite yet he would do so for them both of them. It would appear as though the pair were having some sort of fun now, weren't they? He somehow doubted it would go over well with his boy if he gave him a toss in the water though he found himself half wondering if it would perhaps result in some sort of vocal display from him as it had done for the girl. It was a curious thought but he decided not to test the theory.
"Perhaps you can make a friend in that girl Rong." He told his son, sounding perhaps a bit hopeful in the idea. Maybe he would be more likely to talk with someone closer to his own age and size?
The dark haired boy turned slowly to looking over at her, watching the women for a moment before his attention went back to the water as he wandered back and forth, trying to find something else of interest in the water to give his attention too. When he couldn't find anything he turned to looking at the girl with the horns once more and sighed, he supposed he could talk with the loud one he finally decided.

Maggie had let the sopping Bharani wade back to shore. The redheaded woman snuck up behind Ani, and just as she was about to grab her (again), the little girl noticed.
"Agh! Don't you dare!" she yelled, and took off down the beach, towards Rong and Ryhdderch. Her caretaker chased after her, going slowly, so that she didn't overtake her too soon. "Get away from me you freak!" Ani called over her shoulder.
Ahead, she noticed the two again. Good! Maybe the big one would save her! As she ran closer, Ryhdderch seemed to get bigger...and bigger and bigger! Ani stopped just sort, her eyes opening wide and her mouth forming a little o as she stopped just short of him and stared up. Far away he had looked normal 'big person' sized, but now....
"Woooooow," she breathed. Ani snapped back to Earth as she hear Maggie's panting breath behind her, and she rounded behind Rhydderch. "Mister, mister!" she said, trying to sound as 'little girl cute' as possible, and tugging lightly on his shorts. "Help me! The crazy lady is after me!"
"What??" Maggie said once she had reached them. "I am NOT crazy!"
Bharani peeked out from behind the giant's leg. "PPTTHHH!" she said, blowing rasberries at Maggie.

It was all that he Mintaur could do to keep from laughing at the reaction of the small girl as she stopped short of where he was sitting to stare up at him. He was used to such a reaction from smaller people so he took no offense. When she set to using him as something to hide behind though he did give a bit of a chuckle, "Glad that I make a good hiding spot." He said before looking over to where his boy was standing.
Rong was watching, eyes slightly wide and said nothing as he took it all in. That other small person... she was with his Father, hanging out close to him and hiding behind him. He turned his gaze slowly then to looking at the woman that the Loud One had dubbed as the Crazy One... he would almost believe that he decided as he took in the look of her sopping wet and chasing after the Loud One. He moved slowly forward through the water to get a better spot to watch from. It was a bit like a rather strange show where one almost wondered what was going to happen next... and as such one couldn't look away.

((Haha, sorry, for some reason I thought Ryhdderch was standing. XD Please ignore mah crazy))
Bharani looked up at the Mintaur. "Mm," she agreed. A great hiding spot.
Maggie smiled. "Now Ani, don't bother the nice man with your wild stories." she said. She was tempted to stick her tongue out at the little girl, but she doubted that would help prove how sane she was. The redhead stuck out her hand. "Hi!" she said cheerfully to Rhydderch. "I'm Maggie. And the silly one hiding behind you is Bharani, but I like to call her Ani." She smirked and lowered her voice. "I dunno what I was thinking when I named her 'Bharani'. It's so very hard to say."
"Hey!" Bharani said indigently. "I like my hard to say name! Especially when you're mad and can't say it right." She looked up at Rhydderch. "It's true. You should here her trying to say it when she's fuming." The dark girl noticed Rong moving about in the water. "Hey! Quiet Boy!" she called. "Who are you? Come up here and talk to us!"
"Ani!" Maggie said, blushing a little. "You're being all sorts of inappropriate today."

The rather massive hand of the Minotaur engulfed the hand that Maggie held out to him and he shook it in a rather careful manner. He wasn't one to risk hurting anyone after all, "It is nice to meet you Maggie and Bharani. My name is Ryhdderch and the one over there is my son, Rong." He said, introducing himself and his son to the nice pair that had come to talk with them.
Rong found himself starring at the horned girl wondering if perhaps she was a mind reader. That she had dubbed him 'Quiet Boy' after he gave her the title 'Loud One' was enough to have him moving forward a little closer to her. She was a very loud one but very perceptive in a way... he came to standing just out of arms reach of her and sort of starred before he nodding his head at her in a sort of greeting.
Ryhdderch gave a bit of a smile seeing Rong come forth from the water and walked toward them, it was a nice sign... to see him being a bit more social then was normal for him made the Minotaur oddly happy. His tail set to thumping against the sand behind him without his realizing it, showing his feelings in the same manner that a neon sign might.

Ani darted out from behind the Minotaur and stopped just short of Rong to study him. He was much paler than herself, and even Maggie. He also didn't have horns like her, but his 'father' seemed to have them. She wondered why. What if she had been placed with the wrong guardian?? The thought crossed her mind briefly, but she ignored it.
He was in the water, but he didn't seem to be soaping wet like her. "Why aren't you wet?" she asked curiously. "Didn't your person dunk you?"
Maggie shook Ryhdderch's hand and smiled. "It's nice to meet you, and you, Rong!" she said, nodding her head at the small boy. "Do you come to the beach often?" she asked. "We were going to come out every weekend, but this was the first time we actually came." She laughed. "There's also something else going on, it seems."

Rong glanced over at Ryhdderch for a long moment before his attention went back to Bharani. Her question was one that caused his eyes to go a bit wide before he shook his head rapidly. Dunk him... he didn't think he liked the idea of being dunked at all. The idea of Ryhdderch dunking him was a bit intimidating as well given the size of the Minotaur. he didn't think that he would like that at all...
He turned his head to look at the woman who said his name and he gave her a nod of greeting, she seemed happy... so was she more of a happy person or a crazy one as the Loud Girl had dubbed her? Hard to tell since they were just now meeting for the first time. Maybe the two things were similar?
Ryhdderch gave a shake of his head, "This is the first time that I have come to this sort of place and Rong, he has not been long in this world so its his first time visiting as well." He murmured, "It is a peaceful place." Aside from the startling moment when the little girl with the horns had been screaming and he had thought, perhaps that she was in danger.

Ani narrowed her eyes at Maggie and mouthed YOU LIED! to her. On the walk towards the pair, Maggie had said how eeevveerry parent dunked their kid, at least once in a while. It was all in good fun, right? The redheaded woman's eyebrows went up, and she formed her face into a sweet and semi-angelic look. She had no idea what the golden-haired girl was talking about.
Her attention turned back to the large minotaur talking. 'Not been long in this world...?' that was odd, because he looked several years old, at least. She repeated the curious thought to Rhydderch, and eyed Bharani. Her adopted daughter didn't look it, but she was technically only a few months old as well. Maggie wondered if perhaps the two had come from the same shop, and beyond that, had they come from the same world?

Rong glanced between the pair, feeling as though he might have missed something but it really didn't seem extremely important that he figure out what was going on between them. Instead he turned back to what he'd been doing moments before, gazing down into the water to look for more living creatures. Things that were alive and moving under their own power interested Rong greatly. His eyes paused their back and forth movement when they spotted a strange looking creature with large claws for hands. He took a couple slow steps forward in the water to follow after the crustacean.
Ryhdderch paused the conversation with the redhead for a moment to watch his boy, wondering where exactly he was heading before he to spotted the little crab. Well... so long as he wasn't traveling toward deeper water or at a quick pace it should be alright he decided before looking back over to Maggie, "I think at times I should visit the place I adopted him from, I worry that perhaps the film he used when capturing Rong in that photo was flawed." He murmured, showing his worry out loud.
