What was thought to be a simple thing, turned out to not be so simple. After her first 'meeting' with a certain strange stallion, the flower patterned mare was off hunting for him. There was a certain expression on her face that showed that she wasn't going for pleasantries. No, she was out to kill. Perhaps not in the real meaning of the word, but Lecura wasn't going to take this little 'problem' lightly. Her movements were normally faster then what they were today, for she was carrying a little more weight then she would normally. She had already gotten pissy at Nymph and he hadn't done a thing besides wake her up that morning in his normal way.
Just wait until I get my hooves on that.... Male! Lecura thought bitterly as she weaved less then gracefully through the trees in search of the red and white stallion, Spence. Stopping a moment to catch her breath, why was she so tired all of a sudden? Oh yea! Glanced back she glared at the bulge that was her belly, she was pregnant! He will never hear the end of this! I will make sure of that! More bitter thoughts as Lecura headed off again, nose in the air trying to find the scent of Spence or perhaps the herd he was with... Then again she didn't know what they smelt like anyways sos she would just have to settle on finding him, hopefully alone.

The cool water in the pond had been a refreshing drink on the warm lazy day. The blood red and white kirin stood at the water's edge, sparkling drops falling from his lips after his long drink. Nostrils flaring, he raised his head, sensing a change in the air. Breaking branches and the crushing of dry leaves underfoot reached his white ears, signaling a danger coming his way. Spence was undecided whether to flee or to stay and face whatever was approaching. An uneasy feeling flowed over him.

Yes! His scent was getting stronger, she could almost taste it as she plowed unwittingly through the bushes, uncaring of her frail little wings. With them pressed to her sides, Lecura broke past the trees and straight on towards Spence. She noticed his uneasiness, he had every right to be, after what happened. Though she wasn't quite sure it was even him, but it had to be he was he only one she had seen in a while. Eyes narrowing, Lecura marched over, unstopping as she neared him trying to back him into a corner.
"What have you done to me!" She almost shouted, already tiring from the weight she was carrying. Sure she could have been nicer, but she wasn't there for pleasantries, she was there for answers. "Is this all you males ever have in mind?" Ending that statement she turned, showing her already bulging belly to him, eyes still narrowed to mere slits. "Or were you thinking of taking responsibility for them?"

Just as Spence's decision was leaning towards fleeing, a familiar scent wafted past his nostrils. Lecura. Relief flooded over him and a smile came to his lips as he remembered their last meeting.
The smiled faded as the marching mare approached him without any signs of slowing down. Spence took a few involuntary steps backwards as the white female stormed to a stop in front of him.
Totally confused about what she was talking about, Spence mouthed empty words until his eyes lit on her bulging belly.
"Did I do that?"

With ears lain back, Lecura looked up into the stallion's face. Her breath coming in hard gasps. Her face was pulled in close to his so that he could perhaps feel it on his own face. Her legs were shaking a little as she ground her teeth together, blue/lavender eyes glaring up at him, she was speechless at the moment. Had he done all this to her? Well he had been the last one she had been speaking to, the last one who saw her.
"Yes! It was you!" She growled, talking a couple steps closer to him. "Were you looking to prove something? Or was there a deeper meaning behind your intentions?"
She didn't know that maybe all this happened because there was a stronger connection between them or not. She only knew that this one had caused her this discomfort and he was going to help her raise whatever it was that was produced. If he wasn't going to be up for the task, she was going to make sure he did help. Hardened features quivered a moment, before reassuring themselves as she still gasped.

Spence was confused. He thought females were usually happy when they carried eggs. Her short breaths and quivering legs caused him to be concerned.
It was him, she'd said. The meaning of the words finally sank in and Spence realized he'd sired offspring. "Family," he whispered softly. "We have a family." Here was his chance to be the parent that his sire and dam could not be.
"You're going to let me help raise them, aren't you?' he asked, a hint of pleading in his voice. He hoped she hadn't come to show him what he'd done, then disappear to raise them somewhere else. This certainly hadn't been planned, but maybe there was a reason they'd been brought back together this way. Remembering their last meeting, Spence feared he might have a tough task ahead of him to convince her to stay with him.

Lecura watched the stallion, her upset face changing to one of confusion. He was 'wanting' to help her raise the young that she was carrying? Head tilting to one side, she seemed a little lost for words. Well that plan to 'make' him help just went out the window they say. Blue/lavender eyes blinking a couple of times as she stood there gaping before recovering herself with a shake of his head. Eyes taking up their glare once again, though it seemed more forced then it had been the first time.
"Who in their right mind would tell you other wise? You are their sire, you will be the one to look after them with me. Unless you have sired more then just these" Her head turning to the side a little watching him with a scrutinizing eye.
A sigh escaping from her as she stepped backwards and leaned against a tree that was most convenient. She didn't know how much more she could stand of this, the weight was enough, but these mood changes were starting to kill her. She liked her uptight ways, but this was certainly giving her a slightly new out look. Eyes closing and her head drooping a little, before she looked back to Spence. At least he was willing to help her raise the little brats she was carrying. Not like some stallions she had only heard of, ones that bred then fled.
"I am... Pleased to know that you are willing to take responsibility for all this." She would have said, 'happy', but she didn't know the meaning of the word anymore.
