Louisa loved to get away from the city, she didn't go far just out on to the rocky paths where she could take photos of anything and everything. The best thing about it though was that no one came out here, it was quiet, so quiet. She loved it, sitting out here for hours on end taking photos of any animals and birds that came along. It was the best thing she could do on a weekend and as she was ready for school already, making sure she got all her work done after school on Friday meant she had the weekend to spend up here. She had a rather large bag on her back which had her tent in, she would stay up here tonight which she had no problem with and it meant she could set up some stuff to get some nice night photos as well.

She had only just set off and with her large bag on her back with all her tents and everything in and her camera around her neck along with her binoculars she was ready to go. She had a large smile on her face and the wind on her face, what could make this day any better? She chuckled a little as she watched a squirrel chase off a bird from it's tree before continuing up the path. She would stick to the path for a little while before heading off towards where she planned to make camp. There were a few places here and there that she made camp on the random weekends she came up here. She just had to decide where to go today.

The sound of hooves was subtle at first, a quiet thunder as she gave her mare it's way, she knew the trail well enough that she didn't mind a careful canter, bobbing in the saddle in time with the beat of the horse.

The Huff huff huff of its breathing as it bobbed down the trail was like a quiet chant that made her heart swell in her chest with pleasure, the only thing that could 'beat' this was an open gallop, but she didn't dare that here, there was still a chance of older more 'experienced' hikers whom wouldn't expect someone to come quite so quickly.

As it was she wasn't expecting anyone quite so soon either and she had to rein in the horse to pass, no sense spooking the horse or the walker. It might end up hurting the horse. She spoke softly to it as she reigned it into a walk, clicking her tongue and speaking a few commands in Haida, she wasn't -supposed- to she suspected, but she'd ridden this palomino often enough that it had learned the words as well as the english it had been trained with.
"Hooh, slow up Chattanooga, slow up... it's ok... just a minute" she said to him her voice quiet." as she continued past with a bare sideways glance at who she was passing.

Huh, a flicker of interest passed over her face when the girl was... familiar... Did they have... a class together? Gym at least... no matter. She decided before nudging the horse again. Just a day hiker, and she was here to ride.
"Ha!...Trot Choogie, Trot!" She commanded in english this time and the horse lit out already edging of its own accord to a canter despite the risk of roots and logs. A horse almost as stubborn as she was really. Perhaps that was why they got along so well, she thought, already half forgetting the girl as she vanished further down the trail.

((Italic = Haida for now))

The horse had shocked Louisa some what as she really hadn't been expecting it. She did however get a few snaps of girl and horse as they went past though she didn't get much of a view of the girl. Louisa wasn't one for noticing people anyway, she would much rather admire the animal and watch it then anything else. She did so adore watching how animals moved and reacted. In fact she stood still and watched the horse as it moved onwards. She loved the flow of movement as the horse moved and she would happily watch it all day but the horse and rider were soon gone.

She let out a soft sigh and continued on her way, snapping photos of birds here and the odd squirrel and rabbit. There didn't seem to be much else about and so she got to where she wanted rather quickly. She was happy to climb up to 'her place' without any issues and managed to set up her tent pretty quickly to. She found a few bits and pieces to start a fire later and then settled down waiting and watching, after all something had to come along soon so she could photograph it.

She took a long way around before heading further upward, towards one of the quiet, out of the way spots... free of people and interruptions...

Except, it wasn't.

She reigned in Chattanooga with a look of startled consternation. A -tent-... was that a -tent- in HER spot!?
Wait, wasn't that the girl from the trail?

She let Chattanooga move forward, further into view relaxing into his saddle till she swayed ever so slightly with the motion of the horse, like she was just an extension of him, if an odd one.

She didn't say anything at first, she didn't have the -faintest- idea how to start, or what to say. So she just paused there, the strands of hair that had pulled loose from her long braid tickling at her face as she considered what to do next.

Louisa tended to enter some weird sort of trance, she would sit so still listening to everything that went on around her and so she heard the horse coming long before it appeared. She was confused though, she had never seen anyone up here before, never.

She got up eventually when she heard the hooves stop moving and then she turned around, she looked at the horse first (obviously!) and smiled.

"Aren't you a beauty?" She smiled walking towards both horse and rider though obviously talking to the horse. She then smiled and looked up at the rider.

"Hey, I didn't know anyone else came up here. You have a beautiful horse." She smiled again, her attention turning back to the horse. She raised a hand and let it lay on the horse's neck. Oh what a beautiful horse!

Pan tensed slightly as the girl approached, but Chattanooga was exceptionally relaxed when he was free of stall and ring and twisted his head to nudge hard against the girls shoulder when he got rein enough.

"Chattanooga..." she said feeling like this was a dream almost. "His Name is Chattanooga Choo Choo, I didn't name him" She added the last as a sort of defense against the name.
There was a creeping amusement though, when she realized she played little part in what was going on at present, the girl was far more enchanted by the horse.

"I wasn't expecting anyone here either, let alone someone from the same school." She chided slightly. "I hope you got your homework done before you came out here."
She considered sliding down but didn't just yet, still uncertain.

Louisa was listening to what the girl said but paying much more attention to the horse.

"Oh yes I did my homework, did it all on Friday after school." She continued to stroke the horses neck as she spoke, oh he was such a beauty. She made some strange cooing noises as she stroked him finding every part of him to be completely gorgeous.

"Is he yours?" Yes she was still interested in the horse though an odd thought did occur as she remembered something the other girl said and so turned her attention back to her.

"Do you come up here often? I didn't realise anyone knew about this place, there are various places I set up camp on the odd weekends I come up here but they are so secluded and off the track I didn't know anyone knew about it!" She smiled as she spoke feeling much more confident then normal mostly because her attention was pretty much all on the horse.

"As often as I can" She said with a small nod, "there are other places up here too where I like to take him though, he hates 'the ring' and trick riding." She patted his neck. "Háw'aa Choogie" She said and slid carefully off satisfied that the girl was done with her homework, and a glance around at what she had brought said she wasn't just an impetuous fool about being out here.

"No..." She admitted as she ran her hand over his sides and he dropped his head to n** at wild greens. "He's not mine, I borrow him from a stable, Only my Uncle has horses, and their back on the island..." She flashed a small smile watching her.
"Do you ride?" She asked tilting her head slightly, She half wanted to pull her braid out, wear it free like Great Grandmother had before she died but it would be so in the way. Maybe later... though she'd need to re braid it if she lingered, or it would just drive her up the wall with its tickling strands.

Louisa smiled and moved out the way so she didn't get in the way of the girl getting down.

"Island? Oh what stables? I do ride but it has been such a long time, i didn't know there was anywhere near to ride or I probably would have." Or she wouldn't have, she wasn't sure. She did so wish to ride again to be able to have that freedom and though she liked being alone she knew she wasn't that great at riding and the sensible part in her told her it would be stupid to go riding alone.

"Oh I am Louisa, by the way, I know I have seen you around school but yeah... and erm do you wanna stay a while? I have some cookies my mum made and some other bits to eat and some water and stuff." She was being oddly social, strangely so and she really wasn't sure why. She still put it down to the horse being there and maybe because she was out in the open and this is where she felt most at home as if she belonged here.

She paused and nodded her assent, she'd say, she didn't mind listening to the girl at all, not yet anyhow. And she seemed to have a healthy respect for the horse and other animals.

"Haida Gwaii, Queen Charlotte Island just off British Columbia..." She nodded. I've never... lived there, though, we just visit really." He voice was slightly wistful thinking about it. Sometimes they spent whole vacations there. Her Uncle's 'Sauna' was one of her favorite things to visit for its odd but colorful structure.

"Pandora" She said with a small smile, warming to the girl more. "I have some soup in my bag, if you don't mind meat..." She added. ((or deer)) she thought to herself quietly. "I'm sure theirs enough for two..., let me just tie Choogie, he'll leave on his own if he thinks he won't have to go back to a stall."

Louisa smiled as she listened.

"Oh cool, I haven't heard of the Islands. I have heard of the area but not the islands." She was being honest, her geography was far from good at the bet of times.

"It's nice to meet you properly Pandora." She nodded and smiled again and then her face seemed to light up.

"Oh yes I eat meat, most meats in fact." She hadn't had deer before though, her mother always said it was too expensive. She then went and moved a few blankets for them to sit on as Pandora went to tie the horse. This was somewhat unexpected, firstly Louisa decided to be social and it meant she had someone here for a while. What an interesting day! Well her mother would be pleased there was no doubting that.

"it's venison stew, kind of a left over... but it tastes fine if you don't mind the gamy flavor" She called back as she tied the horse and unsaddled him to make him more comfortable. She pulled a brush from the saddle bag and gave him a quick rub down and double checked his hooves before moving back to Louisa.

"Nice to meet you too." She nodded before reaching back to pull out her hair tie and unwind her hair.

What to talk about though, it felt like she should say -something- after all.

"So you really like animals hm?" She said with a small smile... give her something to expound upon, something for them to both talk about."

"I haven't ever had venison before, always wanted to try it though!" She smiled, she might be an animal lover but she believed that the world was an eat or be eaten world. She saw no reason why she can't love and adore animals but yet eat them. After all the deer in her soup was probably shot which would have been a quicker death then being torn apart by wolves or something else.

She watched Pandora untie her hair and marveled a how long it was. She hadn't seen hair so long but then Louisa had always kept her hair mid-length just because it was easier to handle and she hated to spend ages sorting her hair out every morning.

"Oh yes, I do adore animals. It's why I am up here I love to photograph them!" She smiled and looked up in to a tree though there seemed to be nothing there.

"Animals are always so entertaining, they can do the funniest things. Do you like animals? Or just horses?"

Pan nodded as she tugged her fingers through a tangle to free it.
"I like animals" She said with a small laugh, "both to watch and sometimes for supper, except fish..." She added the last hastily with a small face. "My family eats -way- too much fish." She crinkled her nose and then laughed again.

"You seem, like you'd make a great Vet though...is that what your studying for? Or do you have other dreams your chasing?"
She tilted her head.

Louisa listened and laughed. "You don't like fish either?" She hated fish it was without doubt the most disgusting thing the world had ever come up with. She wasn't keen on fish in general, they were just so well odd.

"Yeah maybe but I am not really a people person and I couldn't deal with irate owners and then upsetting them by putting their pets down. I would love to be a wildlife photographer though, I could sit out here for weeks then and get paid for doing so!" She smiled at that idea, she would love it out here for all that time, watching the animals and everything. She should have been a cave woman living outside all those years ago.

"What about you? Any plans or dreams?"
