One of my favs by A Perfect Circle - Passive I'll try and sing this with my band when we get together again for the guild
“Dead as dead can be,” my doctor tells me But I just can’t believe him, ever the optimistic one I’m sure of your ability to become my perfect enemy Wake up and face me, don’t play dead cause maybe Someday I will walk away and say, “You disappoint me,” Maybe you’re better off this way
Leaning over you here, cold and catatonic I catch a brief reflection of what you could and might have been It's your right and your ability To become…my perfect enemy…
Wake up and face me, Don’t play dead Cause maybe Someday I’ll walk away and say, “You disappoint me,” Maybe you’re better off this way
Maybe you’re better off this way Maybe you’re better off this way Maybe you’re better off this way You’re better of this; you’re better off this; Maybe you’re better off!
Wake up and face me, Don’t play dead Cause maybe Someday I’ll walk away and say, “You ******* disappoint me!” Maybe you’re better off this way
Go ahead and play dead I know that you can hear this Go ahead and play dead Why can't you turn and face me? Why can't you turn and face me? Why can't you turn and face me? Why can't you turn and face me? You ******* disappoint me!
Passive aggressive ********

Another one. I wrote this one, but inspired by another band, and for someone. It's Heavy Metal genre
Surgical Tools:
Damager Oh damager With glass in your eyes How do you see How do you feel with your hands so posed Lets talk numbers Lets talk themes Now they've been ruined See you next week I missed the meeting Oh no I've been away Lets be reborn Oh yeah Lets dig out graves and make them deep Oh God its a fashion trend Fortress lock your plague Damager dig your grave Though your pages Are torn and tattered They still read you like a book Just close your eyes and walk away We laid her down Opened her with The sharpest blade we found Hoping inside We'd find the cure To our condition But as graceful as the lady may have been She still bled the blood that made her human She shed roses on her bed And she spoke in a winter wilted language "I've sold my gold for blood red She'll never cry another tear again

This is a song by Thursday - Understanding in a Car Crash I once dedicated this song with my band toward my dead uncle. May you rest in peace Ricky Alvarez.
Splintered piece of glass falls, in the seat, gets caught These broken windows, open locks, reminders of the youth we lost In trying so hard to look away from you we followed white lines to the sunset I crash my car everyday the same way
Time to let this pass The time it takes, the time it takes to let go Time runs through our veins. It starts and stops and starts and stops again We don't stand a chance in this threadbare time The time it takes, the time it takes to let go Time to let this pass The time it takes, the time it takes to let go
Staring at the setting sun No reason to come back again The twilight world in blue and white The needle and the damage done
I don't want to feel this way forever A dead letter marked return to sender
The broken watch you gave me turns into a compass It's two hands still point to the same time 12:03, our last goodbye
So push the seats back a little further I can see the headlights coming So push the seats back a little further Roll the windows down and take a breath I can see the headlights coming They paint the world in red and broken glass
The spinning hubcaps set the tempo, for the music of the broken window The Cameras on and the cameras click We open up the lens and can't stop
Staring at the setting sun No reason to come back again The twilight world in blue and white The needle and the damage done
I don't want to feel this way forever
The lights are on and the cameras click We open up the lens! To broken glass!
Staring at the setting sun No reason to come back again The twilight world in blue and white The needle and the damage done And it's over! In a flash! And I'll never! Ever understand!
Understanding! In a Car Crash! In a Car Crash! In a Crash! In a Crash!

I write songs too, I have one posted in the poetry forum, unfortunately my band was disbanded before we could finish any of the songs.
