So lyyke... I'm making this topic based on Pitbulls. Now usually when someone mentions PITbulls, what comes to your mind? *locking jaws, they turn on you, cant trust them, theyre too strong, theyre dangerous* But what people dont get is that they take all that stuff and make it as if its how the pitbull was born. WRONG!. A pitbulls anger and how it acts towards others is mainly reflected on how the owner treats them. The main thing Pits are known for is "fighting". or plain "dog fights" The only thing that controls those are PEOPLE. and society today has turned the whole background of all pitbulls into something people should fear. And it really sickens me. It has gotten so bad that people are actually wanting to consider the fact of getting rid of all the Pit's. =[ It really does make me sad, and my opinion is that we should stand up fer teh pitbulls, and not focus on the Bull in pitbull, They deserve a right to. Please watch this Tribute to all the Pitbulls out there
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uft1Ie-xpsc
post your opinion on whether we should blame the breed or the deed..

The truth is, all dogs will attack. But Pitbulls are different, when they attack, they don't stop until it's dead. Pitbulls end up on the news because when they attack (which like i said, all dogs do) the person doesn't get nipped or whatever you want to call it, they get really ******** up. This is not the Pitbulls fault, but it isn't the owners fault that they are like that either, but there are plenty of things that can be done about it. like... keeping your dog on a ******** leash.... Posting beware of dog signs. Most attacks are from people pestering the dog, which will get you a bite from any breed pretty much, if you pester it too much. Dogs are also territorial, you wander into their territory, they just might get pissed off ya know? It's not fair that Pitbulls get singled out when it comes to dog attacks. But its either the irresponsibility of the owner, or just straight up the victims fault when these attacks do occur. Its never the dogs fault. And lets not forget the special case where people abuse the dog until it becomes "mean" that's not the dogs fault either. I don't particularly like Pitbulls, they get too big to have as indoor pets imo, but this is just the way it is. A dog is not just gonna come out of nowhere and attack you just because it sees you, unless it has rabies, there will always be a reason, and it will not be the dogs fault. Lay off the dogs. ---------------- Now playing: Arch Enemy - The Great Darknessvia FoxyTunes---------------- Now playing: Pandemonium - The Hollow Groundsvia FoxyTunes

Another thing about Pit Bulls is that they are a dog that LOVE to please. and thats a reason why they are marked for being the most obediant when it comes to training. They literally "work their tails off" to make their owner proud. But that is also what makes them being obediant a downfall, cause people use them because they know thats their weakness..to please and in return, to be loved, but the owners who abuse them just make the dog want to work harder so that maybe he'll please them then..

lol I had a similar experience. I think all dogs should be treated equally, personally I feel really sorry for the pitbulls that get abused, because if they do get better their not going to be able to change their nature, then they need to be put down.... it bits how cruel people can be,and others will stick a sterotype on them that ruins them all. its wrong on so many levels. I had a great dog,he was my best friend, his name was Curtis,he wa a german shepard, rotwiler, and chow mix. He was to me the best dog in the world. I use to be picked on in elementary school when I moved to Hawaii and I remember I came home, crying because it had happened again,it was in my room that he came in laid on my floor and listened as I told him about it,well it turned out that he got loose and my mom ended up getting a call from the mps who where basically military base cops. Cutis had ended up biting Robert, the boy who was picking on me. Stroke of luck? I doubt it, he had never bitten anyone before, and I lived several blocks away from that idiot and had no idea where he lived. I loved him more than anything but he died on Mother's day in our backyard......it was by far the worst mother's day ever for my mom... I love dogs and anyone who loves their dog too reguardless of the dog's species should be able to keep them.

;-; i for one cant belive why people get the bad impression of APBT.. i help breed and train them with MFK (a kennel i work for). They get their temperments from their parents. Its just all these back yard breed dogs that have the horrible tempermants that attack other people. its agnering to see and i cant belive people would buy acctually buy these dogs. Dont ever get a dog unless it has papers... ;-; but thats just me. Dog fighting used to be a good sport. The handlers would exchange dogs and bathe them, then they would fight. And no, not to the death, just untill the the dog was wounded and could not continued. And IF that dog EVER bit a handler it was put down and the line was NEVER breed back into. D< but the sport of dog fighting was horribly twisted by the demented souls who want to see another animal tear a poor creature limb from limb. Thats just sickining and who in their right mind would do such a thing? I love all breeds, but the Pitbulls are one of my favorites right next to the German Shepards.
