Suk was hunting. As was his names meaning. His wolfs name that is. He wasn't as used to these new things as he had liked but he found it increasingly difficult to leave his blind friend. If friend was the word for it. More like, his soul mate. He couldn't really get it. For goodness sakes, she was blind. But he found her so fascinating and beautiful. He couldn't help but not be by her side.
Except for when he was hunting. He lifted his brown head and gazed about, blinking into the dark. He was a night creature. One of darkness and stealth. He was crouching now, his yellow eyes concentrating on a small rabbit nibbling on the edge of the woods, he wasn't visible.
Ana padded along behind her black friend Baka, her ears lowered. Both of them were laden with pouches and bags, tied up bits of dried plants, some other instruments that resembled simple bone utensils. Around Ana's neck hung an otter skin bag in which Ana carried her most important objects to her existence. Since their den had been flooded by rain waters to high, they had been looking for a place to call home. Ana did not feel safe anywhere they had found yet.
Baka padded along in front of her friend Anastasia, her black ears alert. She had the bulk of the burden on her shoulders with pride. This was her friend, whom she had shared a den with for so long. She had carried a burden once before and this new friend helped solve it. She was proud to be the helper of whom she thought the greatest healer on the earth. She turned to look at the worried Ana and smiled softly.
"Ana. Don't be so afraid. Nothing to worry about. We will find some where to stay... I promise Miss Ana!"

Suk lifted his head and glared at the sounds of strangers in his midst. The rabbit, alerted to impending doom, fled. With a scowl, SwiftKill lifted himself up with a grown. Who had lost him this kill? WHO?
He stood and made his way towards the strangers, on alert and ready to attack if need be. This may be his new home but he sure as hell wasn't going to sit by and let someone invade his territory and intrude on his mate. He spotted the blue dog and her friend and stepped into view. Looking not to pleasant.
Ana was startled by the entrance of the brown stranger with the scary eyes. She took a few steps back, her odd eyes flashing. He was going to attack them, she could see the fire in his eyes. The fury of it. She whimpered. "b-b-b-baka... Leave-now."
She looked to the wild dog and whimpered again. "Leave now-now!"
Baka instinctivly took a step forward towards the stranger and puffed up her mane. She lifted her chin and started at him with strong brown eyes, showing she as not going to back down so easily. "No... we won't leave unless we have too... we have to find a place to stay..." She said, her tail whipping around side to side. She wasn't going to show any weakness. "Sorry sir.. but we are looking for a place to stay... do you know any?"

Suk was a bit surprised. The blue wild dog seemed frightened and yet the black maned wolf was not afraid at all, but seemed brave. He cocked his ears, wrinkling his nose for a moment. "Hmmph?" He breathed through his nose quickly, not really wanting to open his mouth to say anything. He didn't want to speak but pretty soon the maned wolf was asking questions and being all bold.
While the blue dog stood and stammered. He sighed. "Oih. This is a pack for wild dogs..." He said simply, sitting down and wrapping his brush around his paws. "What can you offer to this pack?" He aimed his question more towards the dog than the wolf.
Ana stood and cowered slightly at the presence of the stranger, so dark and mysterious it gave her shivers. She looked to her best friend for assurance and found solace in her sights. Baka looked so strong and bold and it gave Ana hope... enough so that she stood up straighter and stronger.
"No leave." She said.
Baka squinted her eyes and lifted her chin, so that her bobbles and do-dads janlged against her. "We can offer healing and curing... Anastasia is one of the best I have ever seen. No one does better. I can guarantee that!" She said, her nose lifting up and down in emphasis. "She can heal anything from a small cut to a huge wound-she can! I've seen it! This stuff... this is all her stuff!" She said, turning her shoulder to the dog.

Suk gazed at the blue wild dog who talked so strangely. It really wasn't his say if someone could stay or not really but he liked to think it was his choice. He gazed her up and down for a moment and then looked to the maned wolf, intent on simply talking to her since the blue one liked to speak gibberish. "Healer then.. I suppose we could use one.. what about you wolf? What can you do?" He asked.
Bleh, he hated talking. He wished that girl that he was hanging around with, phantom something... She could talk for him even though she couldn't see. Poor thing. She intrigued him though. "Well...?"
Ana felt it best she kept her mouth shut. She knew her speech wasn't the greatest but she tried. At least Baka helped her out with that sort of stuff. She interprated stuff pretty well. She was a good friend. She hoped both her and her friend could stay, otherwise she'd be gone. She was close to baka and relied on her for most of her daily things. She relied on her alot.
Not to mention the wolf was like a sister to Ana. She kept her company and learned her healing lore quickly, and could find her plants with ease. She was a good asset to her. She leaned against the wolf hind end, finding comfort in this simple touch as well. She smiled, nodding. It was all her stuff. Her drying rack. Everything
Baka stepped side to side anxiously. She didn't like waiting around like this. She wanted to get things going now, so Ana could get settled in and start her duties again. She wanted Ana to be able to not worry about a home anymore and be able to learn her environment so she could learn where essential things were.
"I carry everything for Ana... I help her find things when she needs me too and sometimes I help in her healing if she needs an extra paw... it all depends. I also speak for her... since sometimes she cannot find the right words to say sometimes..." She said with a shrug.

Suk gazed at the two. "So one joins and so shall the other?" He asked, eyeing them quietly. "I am not the pack leader but I grant you permission to join our pack... you must go speak to the leaders and get acceptance officially.from them... I am no chief" He said, looking sideways. He wasn't sure if he was doing the right thing but he hoped he was.
"Follow me. I will take you into the pack and you will find them in the depths of our pack lands. " He said, turning on his heels and padding off into the lands.
Ana just about jumped out of her skin when she was told to follow him. They could join. She looked down at baka with big grin and stood up, her tail wagging. "Join join join!" She said, following after the brown stranger with no problem. She turned to look at Baka and give her a big old kiss on the cheek before turning and bounding after the quiet brown male.
A new home. A new chance at life. A new place to heal and to help and to be good. She was so excited.
Baka rolled her eyes, following after the two dogs. What had she gotten herself into, surely this was going to be a one long journey and a lot of head aches. She nipped at Ana's feet to keep her going as she carried her weight evenly to prevent anything falling of her back. She didn't want to risk anything like that, anything breaking or anything getting lost.
Everything they would need right away was in her care. And now, they could find a place to keep it all and help a pack that needed them. Fin
