Shibuya. 渋谷区. One of the 23 central wards of Tokyo, Japan. A busy hub, a fashion centre, where every day, many people mill the streets.
But how many of these people in the crowd truly know the secret behind Shibuya? That they can only see one side of it, which they are ignorant to what goes on beyond what they can see? That Shibuya possesses another side, one they can only see if they meet Death, and are chosen to play...a game.
Specifically, the Reaper’s Game.
A Game where those who have died are given a second chance, given a Player pin to signify their entrance into the Game. A Game where they must survive 7 days, making their way through Reapers whose job is to erase as many as Players as they can, in a race against time as they rush to fulfil the Game Master’s orders before the timer that appears on their hands at the start of each day reaches “00:00”.
If so, they are erased. Game Over.
How about you? Do you think you can handle the weight of the Reaper’s Game?
Another Chapter is opening. The War begins, and Ends With You.

♪ PLAYERS ♪
Players are participants in the Game that have been approached after their death and given a chance to play for their survival. Each Player is given a Player pin to signify their entrance, and has to give up whatever is dearest to them; an entry fee, to participate. Players need to make a pact with another on the first day of the Game or risk getting erased by attacking noise. If Players put up an impressive performance, but get erased, they may be resurrected to play the next Game. Even before the Game ends, they may be chosen by NPCs to become Beta Players. When the Game is won, the remaining Players may be approached to become Beta Players. There's also a small chance that they may be recruited as Reapers, but it is rather uncommon.
♪ BETA PLAYERS ♪
Are ones who have either been chosen by NPCs or have won the previous game, who have chosen to go back to their lives. They are granted a special "Blue Player Pin" which allows them access into any game. If a beta player is wiped out in a game, their pin expires for the duration of the game, but they are free to return again for a game following. Beta players can also test newbie players out, and guide ones who do not understand UG.

♪ REAPERS ♪
Reapers are administrators in the Game. They are identified by the black wings on their back, which are a manifestation of their supernatural powers.
Reapers are recruited from Players who have survived previous runs of the game. Any such player, provided they are strong enough, may choose to become a Reaper if they wish.
Reapers are able to move between the Realground and the Underground without anybody really noticing. While on the RG, reapers do not possess their wings and cannot use their powers. Reapers are permitted to live normal lives on the RG within certain constraints, although they must report for duty in the UG whenever required. The lifespan of a Reaper is determined by the number of Players they successfully Erase (their "Score" ). Reapers can also be Erased by players as part of the game. A new Reaper has around a 2 week lifespan in which to erase their first Player. The majority of Reapers are eventually erased before they can rise very high in the organisation, either directly by Players or by their lifespan running out.
All Reapers have the power to create Noise. Reapers have their own pins which they use to create different forms of Noise; they must also make use of a resource called "Soul". Most Noise will not attack players who have a Pact. Taboo Noise, however, freely attack anybody, Player or Reaper. Reapers can instantly erase any Noise that they themselves created. Reapers can make Pacts and work together like players; they can also project their Shadow onto the alternate plane to fight Noise - or groups of players - alone, but they are less effective in this case.
All Reapers are forbidden from attacking players directly except in exceptional circumstances. One such exceptional circumstance is an Emergency Call (EC) - an alert to an event that affects the safety of the entire Game. In this case, all Reapers - even Support Reapers - may directly engage players.
The symbol for the Reapers is a very stylized skull and crossbones, the crossbones showing up on two pins throughout the game. Reapers are subdivided into three broad categories: officers, harriers, and support.
Support
Support Reapers are the lowest ranking Reapers. They create challenges within the game exactly as instructed by the Game Master. Usually, this involves maintaining special walls separating the different districts of Shibuya, informing players of the requirements to destroy certain walls, and lowering the walls when the requirements are met. Like all Reapers, they have the power to create Noise, but usually only as part of the challenges required to remove walls.
Harrier
Harrier reapers are mid-ranking reapers who are permitted to act independently (within a few constraints) in order to erase Players during the game. Usually, the Game Master will specify when and where Harriers may act. Due to the rule that Reapers may not normally attack players directly, Harriers must summon Noise to attack the players.
It is possible for a new Reaper to join directly as a Harrier Reaper, though it is a fairly rare occurrence.
Officer
Officer Reapers are the highest ranking Reapers. They possess a Noise Form which they can use to transform into during battle. Their Noise Form has considerable power over their normal forms.
Game Masters
The Game Masters are Officer Reapers, and one of them is appointed for each Reapers' Game. The Game Master's role is to set up each day of the game and makes sure everything goes smoothly. By the new Conductor's rules, there are only a few Officers that she trusts and deems worthy enough as Game Masters, and each of them take turns to run each Game, sending out clones of their Noise forms to greet the Players on Day 7.
Conductor
The Conductor is the highest ranking Reaper Officer. She organizes the lower ranking Reapers and is responsible for recruiting new Reapers. She oversees the Game according to the wishes of the Composer, in his absence (which is a usual occurrence). The Conductor is seen as the main 'leader' of the Reapers, as they generally are unaware of who the Composer is.
Composer
The Rules of the entire Game are set by the Composer. The Composer also usually assists with overseeing the pride, and rectifying any issues that the lower ranks cannot deal with. He also can promote/demote the Reapers. The Composer normally only speaks directly with the Conductor; lesser Reapers generally do not contact, meet him or even know of his presence. To achieve the rank of Composer, the current Composer must be defeated in combat. Eventually, the Composer may be promoted to the rank of the Producer.
Producer
A mysterious individual that only the Composer knows about. Who is he, and what is his purpose?

At the end of the duration for the flatsale, we will be picking out entries that impress us and give out Players done on the bases by our lovely colorists. And who knows? If you stick around the thread enough, you might be given a Player so you can participate in the fun!
If your Player dies in the Game, but your RP and dedication impresses us, your Player may be resurrected to play the next Game and have a shot at winning it or ascending to Reaper status.

♪ THE REAPERS GAME ♪
The Reapers Game will basically be an event that will run for 7 days; that is, each day will last about a week OOCly. It's basically a major RP event where Players can interact with each other. The first day (ICly) will basically be Players making Pacts with each other; you MUST have a pact or you will get erased. However, as you RP with other Players, keep in mind that Reapers may enter the RP anytime to mess with the Players. There is also a chance that the Reaper will erase the Players in the RP, though it really boils down to how you choose to respond.
For example, the Reaper tells you to choose from two bottles to drink from. The outcome of each choice is already pre-determined by the staff; say bottle #1 is poison, while bottle #2 is just water. If Players involved choose the 1st bottle, they die, if they choose the second, they live. It's that simple. (P.S. It won't be this silly, we promise!) However, keep in mind that if your partner is erased, your Player will be erased as well. It's simply how the pact works.
Besides getting erased via RP, there's also a chance that you may get erased via games. They basically fall under the categories of:
GETTING THERE The GM requires you to get to a specific location in Shibuya before the time limit. This may be done simply by RP or by the randomizer to determine who gets there.
DEFEATING NOISE Anytime in RP or in the main thread, there may be noise popping up to disturb the Players. Once the Players see this, they have a choice to not bother to Noise; they will not attack unless provoked. However, once attacked, it will result in a dice battle. If the battle is won, the noise will ICly be erased and the Players will be safe. OOCly, the players of the characters will be able to keep the noise. (See Pg 2 for more details) If the battle is lost, the Players that it has battled will be erased and the same noise is up for challenge by other Players.
REMOVING WALLS A crucial point in every day of the Game is the obstacles put up by Support (and Harrier) Reapers to make things more difficult for the Players. The Support Reaper guarding the wall (who is usually Bolt) will have a request that needs to be fulfilled, no matter how silly it is, or else the wall will not be removed and the Player will be unable to get past the wall. This can range from getting him food, pins or making Players dress up in a specific brand, or even stranger things.
REAPER REVIEW This is basically TWEWY Trivia that will test your knowledge of the game itself, though there may be slight modifications due to the shop not following canon things like shopkeepers. This is under the section of "Removing Walls" as well, and is run solely by Bolt. The Reaper Review will be run anytime Bolt likes and will be a speed trivia game. It will OOCly reward players with noise. (See Pg2 for more details)
TIN PIN SLAMMER Slam on! Tin Pin can be played amongst Players (for fun, or part of the challenges of a day) and with NPCs. As each Player has only the ability to handle one specific psych; the pin they use in Tin Pin determines the statistics according to the list here.
There are four whammies a pin can make use of in Tin Pin. Each pin has a set amount of times they can use each technique, ranging anywhere from not at all to dozens of times. The techniques are as follows:
Stinger: The stinger causes your pin to enlarge and grow spikes. You can not move your pin while it is in this state. If an opponent's pin touches your pin while the stinger is activated, the opponent's pin will be stunned. The amount of time the stinger lasts or even takes to appear varies from pin to pin.
Dive Bomber: When you use the bomber, your pin will leap off the screen and a cross hair will take its place. You can then direct the cross hair by pressing anywhere on the touch screen. After an amount of time, which varies from pin to pin has passed, your pin will crash down onto the field like a meteor (though the speed with which it drops also varies from pin to pin), stunning anything it impacts upon. This does not bypass the stinger effect however, and your pin will be stunned if it collides with somebody using the stinger.
Sledgehammer: When you use the hammer, a hammer will extend from your pin, and rotate around it. If the hammerhead strikes an opponent's pin, the pin will be stunned. However, the handle has no effect. The hammer's duration, rotation speed, number of rotations around your pin, and the handle's length all vary from pin to pin. You can use the hammer to strike a pin that's using stinger to disable the stinger effect and stun it.
Helping Hand: The hand can only be used when your pin has been knocked off of the field. If used early on during your pin's fall to its demise, a hand will form and knock your pin back onto the field.
Effectiveness Note: Stinger is effective against Dive Bomber (if a Dive Bomber lands on a Stinger, the pin will be stunned), Dive Bomber is effective against Sledgehammer (if Dive Bomber lands on the handle, hammer head, or pin using Sledgehammer, that pin's Sledgehammer will be shattered and the pin will be stunned), and Sledgehammer is effective against Stinger (hits the Stinger like an ordinary pin, though it is a larger, immobile, target). Each time you succeed in using a move (excluding Helping Hand), you will gain one point.
How well your whammies work on your opponent will be determined by the rolling of the dice. For example, Bolt uses Stinger, and rolls a 10 sided die and gets a 4. The opponent rolls a 10 sided die as well, and if the score is above 4, the pin is assumed not to have knocked into Stinger and will not be stunned. If the score is of 4 and below, the pin is assumed to have knocked into Stinger and will be stunned, losing a turn.

♪ GETTING REAPERS ♪ The last day of the Reapers Game has the Players left stand up against the Game Master of the week. The fight will end in two Players (bound by the pact) winning the Game and they will be returned their fee, and have a chance to return to life in the RG, or become a Reaper.
Also, after the Game ends, an RP competition will be held to recruit Reapers. Please keep in mind that erased Players cannot be entered into this competition.
