Parents can be so cruel crying .I suggest talking to them about why its not wierd and maybe showing them how many people wear it or ask them when you can wear it or something like that.Just a suggestion so think over what your going to do before you do it. 3nodding

You say, "What if?". Have you asked them about it yet? I'd suggest starting off with some toned-down things, bell-shaped skirts and fancy shirts, before investing alot of money or time into something more extravagant. If this is a slow transition, they might even think that the final product was the only logical conclusion.

I agree with Kittywitch entirely. It'd probably be easier to show them simpler styles to get them used to loli. Dumping AP's latest ott-colorful-cupcake-explosion-creations onto them might be a bit too much for a first step xD

-C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
That but if they're not accepting about it and you're underage and/or still living with them, there's nothing you can do about it unless you buy the clothes with your own hard-worked money. But even then there are some ******** up parents who will overdo it and throw your clothes away in a rage.
So if you can't convince them, you're lucked out. And it's probably just better to wait until you move out.

Most parents accept it best (from what i've seen) if you start with casual lolita, and work your way up. Start wearing a loli blouse over jeans, for example. Find things that work with loli in stores around you - so your not bringing home a lolita blouse, its a cute shirt you bought at forever 21. Work your way up to wearing full lolita for special days with friends, then special days with family, and then they should be used to it.

My dad is the same way. You just have to dress it down until you leave the house. Dont wear any bows of accessories keep them in your purse. same with the petticoat. If you have high socks leave them down until you get to your destination. But dont forget to dress it down on your way home

You could point out to them that the alternative of today's modern fashions are somewhat trashy and distasteful

namida_no_chi You could point out to them that the alternative of today's modern fashions are somewhat trashy and distasteful I agree. They should be jumping for joy that your not wearing a pair of shorts that shows off half your butt. As long as you make sure they don't think its some fetish thing, they should be okay with it.

Well, problem is that even EroLoli isn't like fashion of today. It's sexy, but is still covered completely if done correctly, so as long as you don't wear EroLoli around them, or ever let them see it, you should be alright if you talk to them about it.
It was man who has been divided....

Tell your parents that your a girl and you want to be able to be feminine. Only how many years ago women never even heard of wearing pants and now everyone does. How girly is that? Not at all. Your parents should be happy you want to be a girl and not a boy. Stand up for your right to dress like your gender. Hehe I think i got a little bit to into it. mrgreen

Back when I was a teen I was very rebelious...I just wore what I want. lol Really though, as long as you are paying for it yourself there should be no problem. Be a rebel! :3 Or if you're too nervous about that, I suggest you take it slow. Wear a cute skirt or blouse you see at the mall that looks Lolita. Be casual, not too frilly. And maybe they'll see its not as bad as they think.
