Since we've got an abortion post now, I thought I'd add this one.
Have you ever heard of Mail order babies? Basically, for a large fee, you can choose your babies sex, how tall they are, and even whose facial features you want for them. Isn't this going a bit too far?
Honestly, I was kinda surprised when I first heard of this. Expecially since most of the stuff I write about deals with these sorts of things. (except my stories involved combining human and animal DNA into a more superior being...) Is this going against nature?

Honestly, I think it is cool that science has been able to go this far. However, making your baby the exact way you want them to? That's too far.

However, if this is more developed, maybe it could help humanity. If we can alter DNA and genetic coding to this level, maybe we could also remove potentially hazardous genes that could lead to disorders like autism and the like.

...Then again, this means people would start looking for mates merely for their genes, too, wouldn't it?

I woudl like to add a bit more to this. Sure there's people who will make celeb-look a likes, but based on the stories I come up with...

My stories are usually based on people who use a procedure sort of like the mail order babies thing, except they exchange human DNA with some from a plant or an animal. Makes me wonder, will we soon have people creating children that look like werewolves and stuff? I mean, if there's people that wanna make their own Johnny Depp and stuff, there's probably others who want to make real life werewolves and vampires, too...

Though I might just be going a bit crazy... I don't think we got that far yet... have we?????
