The girl sitting on Sam's knee giggled as she kissed his cheek and then his lips. He held an arm around her lightly, but it was almost like he didn't care. Odd enough, he didn't feel much like he cared. The girl kissed his lips and he pulled her closer. He was famous for his kisses, and he couldn't let his fans down. She broke the kiss first, gasping for air. Sam met her eyes. He seemed bored. She pouted and cooed his name. He sighed and shifted her in his lap to hold her more comfortably. Then he pulled her to him for another kiss. Snogging was a nice distraction.

"OMG! Sam! You should see this!" The girl across from them cried. Sam pulled away from the girl he was kissing to look at the other girl. He was sure she was just jealous from the lack of attention. Sam turned on her his best dead sexy smile and she blushed under it's weight. He laughed lightly to himself, but it just wasn't that funny right then. "What do I need to see?" He asked. The girl passed him the newspaper. On the front page was a full color photo of the Minster of Magic.

Sam frowned instantly. It was like looking at an older mirror of himself. "He looks just like you!" The girl squealed. Sam frowned deeper. He didn't need that pointed out. He looked below the picture and saw the name. His fingers tightened around whatever he had in his hands. One was empty. One was on the side of the girl in his lap. She yelped and he released her. "That hurt, Sam!" She grumbled. "Get away from me..." He whispered. She started to protest but the look Sam shot her was enough to send her far from him dragging her friend across the way with her.

Sam waited for them to go, then he looked back down at the man. His father. His real ******** father. "'I stand for goodness, love, and peace...'" Sam read part of the man's quote. Sam growled at the damn paper and crumbled it up. He threw it across the tavern. He sat there in silence, not moving. All the while he promised himself he would destroy those values. He would become the opposite of what that man claimed. He would be the end of his father and he'd destroy anything that stood in his way.

The trips to Hogsmeade, although long awaited by most third years, started to lose interested around your fifth year. At least, this was very much true for Adriane. After the first two or three trips down to the village, there wasn't much left to see or do until the next year. And as much as she enjoyed mingling with her 'friends' unchaperoned, there was always more interesting things to get into back at the castles. Secrets to unfold and collect. But, she wasn't about to miss the first trip to the village. There was always the idea of looking through the shops for something interesting, and conversations could always be listened in on.

So, quite dutifully, she followed after her 'friends', only managing to break away from them when she noticed a familiar little Ravenclaw girl. With a bit of a cruel smile, she left her group, and followed the older girl. Always something interesting with that one. Some new way to pick on her, cause her some distress. It would just be so fun. The Slytherin followed after the smaller girl, keeping her distance to the point where, hopefully, the other girl wouldn't notice. After was seemed like an eternity of wandering around, the Ravenclaw ducked into The Three Broomstick.

Sticking her hands into her pockets, Adriane continued following the other girl, intent on hassling her when she sat down. Her plans changed a bit, however, when a piece of crumpled paper flew a little past her head. Arching an eyebrow, she scanned the inside of the building, before reaching down and scooping up the discarded item. Unfolding it, she took a long moment to stare at the picture featured on the paper. Her head cocked to the side slightly, and she scanned the tavern again. Ah, there he was. The man in the picture must be his father, or at least someone closely related to him.

Folding up the paper again neatly, she tucked it into her pocket before crossing the room towards the older, angry looking Slytherin. Without saying a word, she lifted herself up onto the table, sitting on the edge and facing Sam, her face taking on a look of true, childlike innocence and curiosity. As innocent as she was managing to look, her eyes were still cruel, and a certain type of hunger seemed to fill them. She wanted to know something, and she would be damned if she wouldn't be able to figure it out. "You seem upset," she said bluntly, eyes flickering about from one feature on the older Slytherin's face to another. It was likely he was still sore about the other night, though, hopefully she hadn't managed to piss him off to badly. He seemed like a good ally, should she ever want to take over the world. Shifting a bit where she sat, she positioned herself a bit further away from him than she would have liked, in case he decided to start swinging.

Sam growled lowly as he saw a pair of (lovely) legs appear in his vision. A girl had just come over and sat on his table. He looked up at her with rage in his eyes. If the innocent look wasn't bad enough, it was the same Slytherin that had helped c**k block him with Morgan that night. She said he looked upset. There must have been something in his expression that told her he was pissed because she quickly scooted over out of his reach. It was a wise decision to go along with her not so bright one at this moment.

"You say I look upset... And yet you decide to come and join me..." Sam spoke the words lowly. If he didn't speak quietly, he would end up yelling. And he really didn't want the whole tavern knowing his personal issues. Nor his future plan. An idea dawned on him. He would need followers. Supporters. As he looked into this girl's eyes he saw downright meaniness that he could use. Perhaps. He would keep that in mind before he ripped her into shreds as he felt like doing now.

Sam let out a slow breath. His emotions were showing too strongly through. His body slowly relaxed into that calm "model pose" he often held naturally. It took a little longer for his face to go slack, but he managed it even if the rage remained in his eyes. "Either your stupid, which I doubt with the look in your eyes... So you can give up the innocent act, it won't work on me... Besides, I don't like innocent girls... Their no fun... Which makes my second theory wrong too... If you had wanted me, you would not have come to me as an innocent... So, that leaves only one thing... You want something... Tell me what the hell you want and leave me..." He told her logically. Now he was thinking again. And after seeing Sam in any of his classes, such logic would be unexpected.

Waiting for a reply from the older Slytherin, Adriane managed to find various ways to entertain herself to keep from wandering away from the table to harass someone else. Swinging her feet back and forth, much like a child would, and worked on pulling most of the hem out of her rather short dress. It kept her hands busy, and her eyes down. If she tried to pull of that innocent look anymore, she'd likely gag.

His answer ended up surprising her a bit, though, it didn't show on her face as she dropped her hand back down into her lap and looked back up at him. "I've been known not to think before I act, bien-aimé. Sometimes, however, It's not such a bad thing." she cooed, fighting hard to not drop her innocent act right then and there. If he said anything, she likely would. If he didn't, then it would be fun seeing if she could mess with his mind. Dropping her chin into the palm of her hand, she leaned forward slightly to be in a more comfortable position. Whatever Sam was gearing up for, it was very likely to be long. Dull, maybe.

When he began to speak again, she leaned back against the palms of her hands. Swinging her feet now would likely be read as a threat by him, since his voice became more volatile than it had been before. As he moved on through her little spiel, her head cocked a bit to the right, and her blank eyes took on a more interested look. At least this boy was smarter than the others she had been around, and was good enough at reading expressions. It counted for something, she supposed.

The childlike innocence quickly disappeared from her face, as the charade was gone as quickly as it had had been put on. In it's place, was a smirk. Her eyes still held the same cruelness and hunger that they had held before, but it seemed more calculating now. "It's nice to know you're not dumb as a rock," she started, crossing her legs with a bit more flourish than was needed, and dropping her chin back into the palm of a hand. Her eyes were still darting about his face, before finally resting on the others eyes. There was anger in them, even if he tried to hide it. Anger like that was fun to fuel. "It's a pity you don't like innocent girls, though. They are the most fun to ******** with." The statement was another one of her overly blunt ones, and it was easy to see that on more than one occasion, she had sent an 'innocent' girl sprinting out of the area crying. She paused for a moment, trying to recall something else he had said before answering his question. Clicking her tongue, she shook her head slightly, scoffing. "I wouldn't start making the mistake of thinking that every girl in your general area wants you. I'm sure your ego is large enough without that." It was a cheap shot, and hopefully it would work. If not, she would just end up giving up on this kid. "Tell you want I want, and then leave? Hardly seems fair, if you ask me." But he wasn't, so she let that drop. Besides, the world wasn't fair, and she had seen that example on more than one occasion. "Truthfully, I've not an idea what I actually want. I do believe that I wanted to know what has gotten you so hot and bothered, though." Tilting her chin up slightly, she didn't bother to move away in case he did decide to start swinging.

(( sorry for the long delay ))

Sam knew only two languages. Italian and English. The words she used came from neither. It made his eye twitch. He liked foreign accents, but only when he could break the code. He could tell she had called him something, but that something was unknown. Still, she was playing up the innocent even more. He rolled his eyes and made a sound of disgust. He wasn't in the mood to play games. Finally, her game ended and he got a look at her true colors as they say. And she was Slytherin through and through. He felt a smile come over his features. It was only natural for Sam to hide behind a smile. It made things easier. "Dumb, never... Lazy, only when I don't care..." He told her as if it explained everything.

When she said the more innocent ones were more fun to ******** with, he took it literally. "I'll have to disagree... The innocent ones do not ******** well at all... Though, it is entertaining to break them..." The anger was still in his eyes. He didn't want to be here with her. He wanted to start working off this rage. Start making it worth something. His smile slipped away as this stupid girl spoke again. "Most girls do want me... Somehow Slytherins are ******** up enough not to know a good thing when they see it..." He growled the words at her. Talk about adding fuel to the fire. He wanted to punch her, but a hex would do far more damage than his fist. He glared at her as he pulled his wand from his pocket. He twirled it around in his hand, but not using it yet. As he watched, he noticed she was ready to take a hit. He was glad he had gone for the wand.

Sam crushed his fingers around his wand. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. He was not known for his anger. He couldn't let others start to assume things. "Then if you don't know what you want, go away... Find it from someone else..." He told her with a wave of his hand. "As for what has angered me, you don't want nor need to know..."

Adriane had been paying close enough attention to notice how Sam's eye had twitched when she had spoken French. Obviously, he didn't speak the language. Which was altogether a pity, as English was a rather ugly language, and she would have preferred to be able to get through one sentence without her accent getting in the way. The satisfied smirk she had on her face disappeared shortly after it had shown up, instead being replaced with a slightly annoyed look. His answers were nothing but riddles. Maybe it was time to tell him that straightforward answers were always better than riddles.

Her eyes narrowed a bit at him at his next answer, where he revealed far more about his character than she wanted to know. Than she would ever want to know. After a short moment of staring at him like he was the single most stupidest thing she had ever looked at, she shook her head, diverting her gaze to the floor for a short moment. "Breaking innocents mentally is much more...satisfying, though." She said after a moment, eyes glazing over shortly as she recalled a particularly nice moment from the past. It was always nice watching them when they finally figure out what the world is really like. That not everything was sunshine and butterflies. That everyone has a inner evil, whether they know it or not.

She was brought back to the present when he spoke again, his answer causing her to laugh. He was vain, and she always liked that in a person. Where it would annoy some people, it only caused her to think of ways to break that person down. "I suppose you're right, joli garçon. " she cooed, speaking in French again just to see how far she could go with it before he snapped. "Some of us are too ******** up to know a good thing when we see it." Her eyes lowered when she noticed a bit of movement from the boy, and noticed he had drawn his wand.

Well now. That was hardly fair, now was it?

Shifting a bit where she sat, she lid her wand out of one of the sleeves in her hoodie, and it easily slipped into the palm of her hand. Rather useful when you didn't have pockets, and one quick move of your hand and the wand was there. The wand was only pointed at Sam briefly before it balanced neatly in her fingers, and she tapped it against her cheek. There was a hint of a grin on her face, and it was crooked and wrong. She ignored his first statement, letting it roll of her as she contemplated his second comment. "I believe I do want to know what has angered you...." Her voice dropped off, eyes glazing over briefly as she remembered what had probed her to come over there in the first place. Her lips twitched when she pulled up the image in the newspaper. "Because I'm terribly interested in what someone related to the minister of magic has to be upset about." It was a low jab, and it was a guess. A wild guess, and god, she hoped she was right.

(( begging for life sounds about right... ))

Sam groaned when she said she wanted to know what made him so mad. He rubbed his free hand over his face. As it was sliding away he noticed she too had pulled her wand. Fine by him. Still, the look in her eyes told him something bad was about to come from that grinning mouth. She pulled out the newspaper. Again THAT man's image stared back at him, moving as if giving a speech of some kind. That alone was enough to send him through the roof. But her words. It took a moment for them to sink in. He couldn't believe she would have the nerve to say such a thing.

Sam was on his feet in an instant. The chair fell with a clank to the floor as he did so. His eyes glared at her, and his first thought was to kill her. He had his wand half raised when he remembered where he was. This was not the place to end her. And he couldn't start screaming at her. The others would find out about his daddy-dearest.

The tavern had gone quiet and all eyes were on him. He looked around, then gave everyone his best smile. He closed his eyes and held up his hands to try and seem innocent, even if one still held his wand. "Thought I saw a spider..." He said as if that explained it all. He listened until he heard the sounds of chatter and movement return to the tavern. Then his smile faded and he turned his rage filled eyes on the stupid Slytherin girl. He picked up his chair and righted it. He sat back down in it. He couldn't get angry. Anger would make him stupid. Make him fail.

Sam propped up his feet next to Adriane. They were close enough to touch her, and if she kept this up, he wouldn't feel bad about "accidentally" kicking her off the table. He crossed his arms over his chest, but kept his wand arm loose with the wand still exposed. "Put that miserable paper away... I am not that man's son... I was angry about who lost the quidditch game... You have your answer... Now go away..."

Adriane's smirk stayed on her face, and she waited for Sam to respond to what she had said. Hopefully it would be something worth her time, seeing as the boy had been angry before she had sat at his table, and he had pulled his wand out. Maybe he would even go as trying to hex her. Now that would be something. It may even probe her to stick around and try to anger him a bit more. Angry people were always fun, seeing how far you could jab at them before they snapped.

And, hell. Sam seemed pretty damn close at the moment.

At the sound of the chair hitting the floor, Adriane flinched. She wasn't particularly good with loud noises, but luckily she had managed to compose herself before the other Slytherin noticed. Her eyes darted down to his half raised wand, and she arched an eyebrow. "If you're going to try to hurt me, may as well get on with it. I'm getting bored." she commented dryly, keeping her voice low enough so as not to alarm any of the others in the tavern. Her wand stayed where it was, and it was quite clear that she wasn't about to be startled by the boy's actions. She doubted he would do much, though. After all, they were in a crowded room.

And, just as she had guessed, he played it off as if nothing had happened. Saying something about a spider. Rolling her eyes, she let out a heavy sigh and mock looked for the imaginary spider. She was about to make a comment on how big bad Sam was scared of a little spider, but instead kept her mouth shut. It was probably better this way, and there would always be the chance to tease him about it later. There was a time and place for everything, and this was certainly not the time to mention things like that.

With her head cocked to the left, Adriane watched as Sam slowly regained his composure, and sat back down. When he answered, once again telling her to go away, her smirk came back. The childlike curiosity that had been there before was back, and this time it wasn't fake. Most children tried to find the good in everything, that everything was innocent. In that way, Adriane was the exact opposite. In her mind, everyone was just as sick and twisted and bad on the inside, that the good was just a little mask that people wore to hide away their anger and their hate. And at the moment, Adriane was trying to find out just what made Sam ugly.

It was, quite obviously, his anger. And she liked that. She liked that a lot.

"Je ne sais pas," she murmured, shrugging and holding the paper up so she could compare the picture of the man to Sam. "You look an awful lot alike." she commented, eyes narrowing for the smallest of moments as they flitted from the paper to the Slytherin's face. "'I stand for goodness, love, and peace.' Bullshit." Her mouth turned into a scowl, and she was no longer concentrating on Sam, and rather the paper, a disgusted look on her face. "All of those fall eventually. Wouldn't mind showing him that, really wouldn't." The last part was mainly for her own benefit, though she was still speaking loud enough for Sam to hear. Something told her that the boy was planning something, and she wanted to get in on it.

With a scoff, she crumpled the paper back up into the way she had originally found it, and shoved it into her pocket.

(( yay! a posting style ))

Sam glared at her as she did her little comparison crap. After she spoke on how they looked so much alike, Sam growled. "You really don't understand the meaning of 'go away,' do you?" He asked of her sounding exhausted than pissed now. But if you got a good look at his eyes, the rage was still burning brightly. He wanted to be alone, and he wondered why he didn't just leave instead. He quickly thought of a few reasons. First, he had his pride of not giving in first. Second, he was pretty sure this annoying brat would just follow him any way. And if the second was true, then they needed to stay here because if they were alone he might follow through with the urge to just kill her and be done with it. Anything this annoying deserves to die, or at least suffer. Too bad he wouldn't be doing either if he could help it.

Sam half laughed. "At least there seems to be one thing we can agree on..." He grumbled after her bullshit comment. That single comment was almost enough to get her off the hook with him. He looked away from her and around the tavern. Maybe if he ignored her she would go away. It was her words that drew him up short. She sounded like she had been speaking mostly to herself. But her words made him wonder. Could he do this on his own as he had been planning? Or should he follow in the previous Dark Lord's foot steps and gather as many followers as he could? The Dark Lord's plan had worked for a time, but he was dead now. Sam didn't like that idea much. He would have to think of a better way.

Sam heard her crumple up the paper and looked back to her. His normal grin on his features without him even trying. "If you really believe that, I believe you and I need to have a little heart to heart..." He said softly. "Alone..." He added a moment later.

It was terribly amusing how badly Sam wanted her to leave, and she felt the strangest urge to start going on about how she didn't understand most commands is 'please' wasn't in there. That, and why he couldn't just leave is she was bothering him so badly. If he did that, though, his pride would be on the line. And she wasn't about to just leave because of her pride. Any way you looked at it, it didn't seem like either of them would be leaving anytime soon.

She ignored when Sam spoke again, mumbling about something they could agree on. Her mind had already wandered onto something else, and she had looked away from the Slytherin boy to look for a better target elsewhere in the tavern. Sure, this one was fun, but there was always a time when she could harass him later. He had calmed for far too much for her to be amused any longer.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Sam was looking back towards her, smiling. Adriane tore her eyes off of the girl she had been planning on harassing to turn back to Sam, an eyebrow arched. It was quite clear that she was waiting for him to yell at her, or at least so something like kicking her off the table. Something like that seemed extremely likely at the moment. Instead, he mentioned talking about have a 'heart-to-heart'.

Her expression changed from her smug smirk, to a highly suspicious look. Moments ago, he had been about to hex her, and now? Now he talking about having mushy talks alone. She stared at him for a long moment, lips parted as she tried to find a way to make a smart a** retort to that. "I'm in, s'long as you don't kill me." she responded, still looking suspicious.

Sam laughed when that grin faded from her features. Instantly, she was suspicious. It was a good quality. One that would keep her safe. He liked it. Made him feel better about his decision. He drew himself up right and moved closer to this Slytherin girl. He flicked his wand and whispered the muffliato spell. He wouldn't want anyone to accidentally over hear him. "I won't kill you... What I'm planning might get you killed though..." He told her. His usually sexy girn, held just a bit of evil in it this time.

Sam laid an arm across her legs, to make it look like he was just trying to flirt like always. He looked up at her and raised an eye brow. "I have big plans... However, I want you to understand one thing... I'm in charge... Can't handle that, walk away now..." He told her and watched her, waiting for her to make her next move. However, he'd have to destroy her memory if she walked away. Couldn't let her know his secret and have it as black mail.

Adriane kept her guard up as Sam righted himself in his chair, and moved up closer to her. In her mind, that was always the first warning sign telling her to get out now. The situation wasn't made much better when she heard him murmur muffliato spell. She understood secrecy and the like, but the simple fact that he had been ready to kill her just moments before caused her to be wary of the boys actions. However, when he spoke again, he claimed he wasn't going to kill her, but what he was planning had a good chance too. She stayed silent for a long moment, chewing on her lower lip as if she couldn't decide if she wanted to go along with it or not. "You make it seem as if I'm selling my soul to the devil," she stated, arching an eyebrow before mumbling something to herself in French, and adverting her gaze up to the ceiling. Closing her eyes, she slipped her wand back into the sleeve of her sweatshirt, though she was still very much aware of what the Slytherin boy was doing. Especially now that he, quite casually, laid an arm across her legs.

It certainly was how he was making it out to be. She half expected him to pull out a document and have her sign her name in blood. Or maybe some other little thing that forever leave her in his service, having her follow his every little whim and need. A signature or a mark or...or... It took only a moment for her brain to connect 'mark' with something that could possibly get her killed. The story had been told God knows how many times at her household, how disgusting the whole ordeal had been, how it was a pity that she had been sorted in Slytherin.

Her previously closed eyes snapped opened, and she looked down at the Slytherin boy, the expression on her face a mixture of disbelief, disgust, and awe. "You're ******** crazy if you're planning what I think you are," she hissed, her voice low though there was little need for the caution. That plan had failed, with everyone who had been following the previous Dark Lord were most likely dead. And if it was done right this time, it could be successful. It would take work, it could take years, but it could happen. "Unfortunately enough, I've always been attracted to crazy schemes like that." Which was, for the most part, true. She pointedly ignored the 'in charge' comment, as she would rather be behind the scenes than running the show. It was easier for her that way, and it was easy to tell that she agreed with him.

Yup. He was in charge, he could be killed first if something ******** up and went wrong.

Sam's grin twisted into a deeper kind of evil smirk when she said she was selling her soul. Something like that. But there would have to be a way of binding. Not the dark mark. Something on the arm was way too easy to notice. Still, a mark that he could call his followers with. It had it's possibilities. If any thing it would have to be something on the back. The question was what? And more so how? Those were all questions that could be answered later. After all, he only MIGHT have just one right now. But judging by the expression she turned on him, he wasn't even sure that she would join him.

Sam liked her way of putting it. "Well, I suppose I do ******** like crazy..." He said with a wink. "Glad to see you picked up on my thoughts so quickly..." He added after a small pause as if to assure he was planning exactly what she was thinking. Her next words pleased the hell out of him. She was in. She was his. His first. That excited him. It made him want to go right up to his father and get this little adventure started off the right way; with a murder. However, that would not be smart. That would only cause more issues especially with how very little he still knew. He needed to plan. He needed to gather people. And first thing he needed to study was that memory spell, since he didn't want to wipe away an entire past but only a few moments. Then he could get the mark. He would need a way to claim these people as his.

Sam ran a hand through his hair. He was getting a head of himself again. One step at a time. He had his plan. Chaos that would destroy all that his father stood for. He would lead that chaos. He would lead this world into another dark age. Another war. Sam liked it already. He looked at this girl that he still couldn't remember her name. "You've just decided to sign your life over to me and my plans.... Do you even know my name?" He asked. He hadn't given it to her. But he didn't know if she knew it from the Forest or even before that. He was horrible with names. There were just too many to try and keep up with. Then again, Morgan's name did keep sticking out to him.

Adriane edged away, making it seem as if she was just trying to get into a more comfortable position. It wasn't that she was scared of him in any way, she just didn't particularly enjoyed being touched so casually, especially since she hadn't lead off on the fact she particularly liked him. It was uncomfortable, but nothing she couldn't handle. Hopefully.

His next comment about '******** like crazy' caused her to roll her eyes quite dramatically. Just being around him was starting to cause her mind to go down that route. This whole thing was starting to be a bundle of information she never needed, nor wanted, to know about him. But, it had been her own foolishness that had caused her to come over to his table in the first place, though it was starting to turn out far more...entertaining. Something that would give her the chance to raise some hell, to make something of herself, good or bad. And that single thought caused her to smirk, her mind already straying to what she could do. That if, at least, if the boy would 'allow' her to. After all, she wasn't the one in charge.

Biting down on her lip, she chose not to say anything, instead waiting for the Slytherin to say something himself. Which, fortunately enough, he did. And when he did, she laughed. "Unless I'll be screaming it later on, I've no use for your name." she replied, making it quite clear that even if she did know his name, she'd simply be calling him by some demeaning nickname.
