Favored City: UlorbbathDescription: Born of a lesser house, and knowing her ambitious older sisters would rather see her dead than have her around as a potential threat, Beria made a bold move for a drow and abandoned her house altogether. She met a wizard passing through the city and was with her when she left, learning her skills and (true to drow culture) waiting for an opportunity to better her lot.
However, her luck ran short when she and her companion met a group of surface adventurers and the other drow decided to slay them and take their treasure, "all in the name of Lolth's greater glory, of course." The older wizardess wasn't up to the job, and the younger drow scavenged what she could of her teacher's equipment and went on her way, looking for a new city to call home.
Short and remarkably voluptuous for a female elf, Beria knows she doesn't fit the standards of the race's ascetic beauty, and is content with that fact. She'd rather prove her worth through skills than be valued for looks as it is.
It's been suggested a time or two that her mother's adventurous taste in bedmates could have something to do with Beria's unlikely looks, but anyone who suggests to her face that she is any less than a purebred drow soon comes to regret their mistake.

Other Things of Note
Familiar: None, as of yet
Personality: Beria has a tart, sometimes sharp sense of humor, when she feels it needful to speak, which she rarely does. She believes in the rivvil axiom that actions speak louder than words, and she makes sure her actions speak loudly indeed, if she has to act.
While not blatantly antisocial, she is not nearly as invested in the political game as most drow, likely because she has no house and therefore cannot gain much advantage from it. Beria is interested only in what benefits her or furthers whatever is her present goal.
She's very good at getting along with other drow, if the occasion calls for it, and also very good at sticking a dagger in their backs later, as the occasion will almost certainly call for. Her primary drive is to enhance her magical skills, and second to that is to find a house to attach herself to where she has some possibility of advancing through the ranks.
Religion: Raised on the scripture of Lolth as are most of her kind, she worships the Spider Queen.
Greatest Fear/Phobia: Probably the loss of her magical skills, which she gave up her house and her real name to attain.
Pet Peeves: Any comments on her "unusual" appearance.
Most at ease when: Studying from her spellbook
Most uncomfortable when: Forced to talk to rivvil in any capacity other than giving slaves an order. She doesn't hate most surface dwelling races with the same passion as most drow, but she doesn't understand them either, and that makes her nervous.
Most embarrassing moment: Wardrobe malfunction! Most drow clothing doesn't quite fit her...
Darkest Secret: The real name of her house, which she jealously guards.
Greatest Strength: Her determination
Greatest Weakness: Hasn't found one in herself... Yet.
Good/Bad habits: Very clean/organized, but, at the same time, VERY clean/organized.
Biggest accomplishment: The first spell she ever managed to successfully cast.
Biggest regret: None that she's telling anyone.
Mental Disturbance: A touch of OCD, but otherwise, as healthy as a drow mentally gets.

If you've got a house short a wizard, she's willing to trade her skills for membership, assuming, of course, that the terms are to her liking...

Anyway, I'll add a list of her favored spells and schools of magic to here soon as I can dig it up.
Edit: List posted! Now any women of rank who look at this page will have a better idea of just what it is she has to offer any house that she joins...
