High atop a cliff overlooking a large lake, the night sky reflecting into it's cool water, she lay, watching the stars flicker. This kind of beauty, the night sky and such a large calm lake, brought peace to her. It had been some time since the break up that she'd had so much on her mind. But the fight with her son had brought it back up to smack her in her face. Questions of herself and what she might have done wrong passed through her mind.
Since laying there though she had managed to become peaceful once more, shoving those thoughts away. She could only hope now that her son would speak to her again after she'd back pawed him. With a little shake to let any loose feathers fall out, she sighed, pulling them to her back, chin resting on her paws.

Gahlithar let out a growl. He had been studying this female for some time, watching her pity party and it made him grit his teeth. It was sad, pathetic even. It made him grunt at the whole thing, and before he knew it he could no longer appease his solitude and let the female be. "Get up." He barked, his eyes flashing as he came out from behind a large rock, his coat shimmering as if a mirror of the night sky above them. He said nothing more, just looking the female down in his own command, waiting for her to listen.

Ayla got up to a sitting position, turning to face whoever had spoken to her. It was a male who's fur mirrored that of the night sky. For a long while now she thought something had been watching her just out of sight, now she was convinced of it. "Who are you..?"

Letting out a little bit of a huff, he narrowed his eyes slightly, letting his tail slap against the ground before answering. "I'm Gahlithar. And who might you be My dear?" He noted that she just barely listened to him. He was slightly disgruntled by the fact that she hadn't immediately obeyed his command, but he was content enough to let it slide... this time.

A flicker of confusion passed over her for a brief moment as she watched the male, noting agitation in his features. "I am Ayla...why do you watch me Gahlithar..?" By now she was standing, a bit more on guard.

"Well, first of all." He stated with his gruff voice, "You're on my territory. Second of all... you," He lifted a paw to point in her direction, "are way beyond your own ability. Its almost sad, yet I wouldn't quite use that word." His tail flicked again. Pathetic had been the word he wanted to use, but refrained from it. He was told he needed to learn better etiquette and he supposed it was true, even if these beasts could be dumb. "You..." He began again, "need to get up, and teach yourself to be strong again."

This male sent a feeling of intimidation through her as she answered him, wishing he'd just leave her alone. "I had no idea this cliff belonged to anybody..." The last comment hit a nerve. "I am up...and I am strong..who are you to tell me what to do..?"

Gahlithar watched her and smirked slightly as she stood up, "Indeed, yes?" He wrapped his tail around him as his eyes flicked up over her. "Now, tell me something... had you not been having a pity party recently? And now.. now that you have a common enemy to hate you're filled with fire. Good girl."

Ayla just looked at him for a long moment, feeling rather confused by him. "I cannot hate...though you are an odd male Gahlithar..." Forces memories of earlier from her mind and turns her head. "You listened in hmm..? Mind your own buisness.."

Gahlithar chuckled at her, slightly amused as he stepped passed her, sitting down to stare up at the dark blue expanse above the two of them, "I've been called worse. But I sauppose its all true. But, what happens on my territory I find as my business, I meant no offense Milady, but I had to make sure you meant no harm to my land or the creatures here."

Ayla followed the dark male with her eyes, relaxing slightly when he seemed to calm down, the edge from his words dropping. "I never meant harm and apologize for stepping into a place that belongs to somebody else...If you would wish it, I can leave now..."

Gahlithar couldn't help but muse at her sudden willingness to leave. She still had no confidence it seemed. He shook his head back and forth, "Had I wanted you to leave I would have ran you off long ago. I can be quite scary when I wish to be." He gave a light smirk in her direction and lightly flicked her with his tail, "I suppose... sometimes its good to have company."

With a confused sigh Ayla sat down once more, starting to fix a few stray feathers in her wings. "If you wish for company, I will stay. I do not enjoy being in one place for long..." Faces him again, sadness still prominent in her dark eyes.

He mused. "Then by all means, I won't keep you Milady." He stated with a slight firm tone, his eyes looking her over before he stood up and walked passed.
