Because dinosaurs are awesome. They should have had a stegosaurus though instead of a T-ex. They're like 10x cooler, man.

It's a dragon with it's wings clipped off I think.
Pshhh, Pterodactyls and Velociraptors are better than T-Rexs. RAWR!!

 It was kind of strange seeing it there. It was extremely random. And then I attacked it and died.

I died from it too. I thought I could take it on. ;-; WHY WOULD THEY PUT A GIANT T-REX RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME?

 I thought it was some kind of test, like you had to beat it before you were strong enough the move into the next area. That and I didn't realize that making it kill the wolves made it stronger so the whole time I was amusing myself by leading wolves too it made it worse. D:<

XxGrieverxX I died from it too. I thought I could take it on. ;-; WHY WOULD THEY PUT A GIANT T-REX RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME? *shrug* I figured it was so n00bs didn't lose a lot of data when they learned not to attack things that look super-nasty. Maybe a reminder to not assume benevolence in game design? Or, upon reflection, maybe just so there was something interesting there to kill the 59482947937th time you had to go through there. The designers probably justified it as a way to let players know, early in the game, what that handy green "I-will-ignore-you-if-you-don't-attack-me" health bar meant.

I didn't even know it could get stronger. ;-;
Maybe. :0 Or they just put it there to trick us and piss us off. It's kinda what they did with Tonberries. They look cute and easy but they so aren't. D:

zomfg TONBERRIES!!! I hated them so hardcore. And yet, I got a cute little figurine of one. It's in my son's room, he totally appropriated it after watching the Tonberry King grind my a** into powder for the bejeezus-millionth time.

Why are they even called Tonberries? They don't even resemble berries. >:I I wish I had a Tonberry figure.

I really like the T-rex, though when I first played that game it was the first thing to ever kill me >T T<. but you can walk right up to it and it won't attack you (because of the green health bar), unless you attack it...
I am in a 3D modeling class right now, so being able to see the texturing detail is really nice without having to die sweatdrop some of the enemies designs are really interesting, but they never stay still long enough to see the little details *bothersome*
