A new light has been shed on the Vampire world. The discovery by the Volturi of the half-vampires has been one for the history books. Now, the ones who had no idea what to think of themselves now knew more. Knew that there were others like themselves and didn't feel so outcast. That still didn't mean that everyone accepted them.

Appearance: long, almost waist length brown hair with face length bangs, with black chunks and blonde streaks in it with a couple pink sections as well. Stands at about 5'2", Brown eyes, fair complection, with skin that glows in the sunlight.
Name:Marie Rosemary Evanson
Age: 19
Race:Human/Vampire
Gender:Female
Special Abilities: Can control the weather, making minor changes, like rain, snow. She tries to make them stronger at times, but it is rare and difficult.
Personality: Caring, can be cold at times, despite her body temp, usually a loner, as upbeat as most of her music.
Short Bio: Marie is indeed 19 years old, but reached maturity at the age of 7. She was abandoned at a young age by her father, the vampire that impregnated her mother, then left her to die. She was found by a nomadic vampire, and was taught what she needed to do to survive. She does prefer human blood to animal, but doesn't act on the preference most of the time, and sticks to human food. Currently living in the Port Angeles area going to Peninsula community college.

Special Abilities: Air and Wind manipulation - Ability to control, generate, or absorb air or wind.
Personality: Cold, distant, loner.
Short Bio: Alexander was raised in the late 1800's by a father just as cold and heartless as he became. He had one sister, both she and his mother were continually beaten by his father. He was told women were no good and had to be put in his place. The teaching stuck throughout his life. He met his death one night by insulting the wrong vampire. She turned him as a punishment, forcing him to forever roam the world. About a hundred years later, he ended up having a daughter of his own, and since she was only half a vampire, she thought she was worse than any other. Ever since he found out she was alive, he showed up at random times just to give her hell. He found it amusing and entertaining. Where when his father could only go so far with his mother and sister, he could take the beatings to a whole other level with Marie.

Appearance: Dark, nearly black hair in a messy mop, pale skin, striking amber eyes, an angular jaw, a few inches above average height, well built, but slim.
Name: Bradley (Brad) Mason
Age: 28, turned at 19.
Race: Vampire
Gender: Male
Special Abilities: Can affect the weather by making it more extreme (i.e. rain into a thunderstorm). He tries to change it all together, but it's nearly impossible.
Personality: Uncomfortable around others of his kind, misantropic towards half-vampires, and weary of anyone. Deep down, he's incredibly caring and would do anything for those who earn his trust.
Short Bio: Though relatively new to the vampire lifestyle, Bradley is a nomad by trade. He was born in Oxford, England, where he grew up incredibly poor, but incredibly bright. He recieved a grant to go to an American college, and jumped on the opportunity. However, it was on that exact college campus that he was ambushed and turned. Since then he traveled to the west coast, and currently wanders around the Port Angeles area. He feeds on both humans and animals, which has turned his eyes a strange amber color.

Marie walked off of the college campus. It was a Friday, and classes were over. Looking up at the sky, she noticed how cloudy it was. The temperature wasn't too cold, for the middle of fall. Well, at least to her, it wasn't. She had an abnormally high body temperature, for humans, but she was only half of one. She was excited, for Halloween wasn't too far away, and she was eager to pick out a costume. So, she headed into the throng of small shops and stores that lined the streets of Port Angeles.

A beast circles the Port Angeles time and time again. Though, this beast is not your typical beast, but rather, he takes the form of a man. He circles, eyeing the crowds, that only see him as a blur, if they see him at all. He is about average height, but he does not look like your typical human. Bradley Mason slows his pace at the edge of a rather populated street, smelling the air. Beautiful. He thinks, redirecting his attention to the clouds above. Suddenly, the sky darkens and lightning strikes, but rain does not begin. That's better. He thinks, continuing his path along the streets, his amber eyes a deep contrast to his pale skin and nearly black hair.

Marie was approaching the end of the street she was on. She knew the costume shop she was looking for was around somewhere. A flash of color caught her sharp eye. She shrugged it off, thinking she was seeing things. The lightning strike was unexpected. It was as if a storm was rolling in. Odd, because nothing on the weather channel suggested storms, and she herself didn't try to make one. She shrugged to herself, and smiled as she lifted the hood of her black raincoat over head moments before a heavy downpour of rain started. Much better.. She thought, watching as others around her scrambled to put their hoods up, get an umbrella, or dodge into a shop. Soon there was hardly anyone else on the streets.

Bradley nodded slightly to himself, pleased that a downpour had begun. Although the humans around him scramble to get their hoods up, he did not. He snickered lightly to himself, before lifting the black hood of his zippered sweatshirt unto his head. His sharp eyes watched the faces of the few who passed by, content by their reactions. Most looked away from his strangely colored eyes, now shadowed slightly by his hood.

The smell of the rain washing the earth clean was something that Marie loved. It would be great to be able to find some other's to play baseball with in this condition, but she knew how unlikely that would be. Although she had pulled her hood up, some of her hair stuck out of the raincoat. She knew once it dried, it would curl up in some way, despite her attempts to straighten it. In a childish move, she went up to a rapidly forming puddle, and jumped, getting glares from others around her that had been splashed. She laughed mentally, if they only knew, they would be running instead of glaring. She smiled, looking out into the rain. Suddenly, an unfamiliar scent crossed her path, instantly alert, she tried to look around for the source..

Catching the stranger's scent, Bradley was suddenly alert. He knew it would be looking for him as well, though he could not be sure exactly what it was. He pinpointed the exact moment it had happened, and with a photographic memory, pinpointed the face that went with it. At the boom of thunder, and crack of lightning, he sped up his pace to a speed-walk, as he turned into a side alley. He sped up his pace as he travelled, making sure he was well out of view before he broke into a run.

Marie noticed the stranger on the street. Watching as the figure sped up, then went out of sight, scent fading, she knew it had spotted her as well. Obviously whoever it was was trying to avoid running into her. She debated following them or leaving them be. Cautiously, she made her way through the back alleys and out of sight of other humans. The rain was good cover from human eyes, but she knew who ever she had smelled would be able to see her regardless. A fog began to accumulate across the port town, with a little of Marie's help, it would further help with the humans, but not with the stranger.

Bradley smelt the stranger following him, and he grit his teeth together. To continue running, or to stop and confront it. He paused, turning towards where it's scent was coming from. No doubt the fog would cover the looming confrontation from humans, but it did not hinder his sight. He spotted the stranger, a few hundred meters away. Now, under the cover of the forest, the shadows from his hood hid his face in darkness. This dulled his eyes, but no doubt, they were too red to be a normal human's. He did not know what the stranger was, but he knew that they were not human, and through this, could probably see him. He stifled a deep warning growl, which no normal human would've been able to hear.

Marie managed to spot the figure when it paused within the nearby forest. It appeared to be a male, with eyes that had a reddish tint. Could it be a vampire? She continued walking foward, and heard the deep growl. Raising her eyebrow, she studied the figure. "If you think that I would give up that easily, you are sadly mistaken.." She said in her clear mezzo-soprano voice, barely over a whisper at that. She knew he would hear, and be able to tell she was indeed a female. Marie continued to walk toward him, wondering what his reaction would be. The rain slowed to a light mist, and she lowered her hood, revealing her long brown hair. He should be able to hear that she had a pulse by now, even though they were still a ways away.

Bradley chuckled, his laugh deep and throaty, but rather quiet. He watched her approach, and backed away slowly. For ever step she took towards him, he equalled it with a step back. She didn't smell like a dog, which completely ruled out werewolf. He was now very sure that she was not human, but yet.. she had a pulse. "Wishful thinking." He responded, his voice tainted lightly with a foreign accent. With the now misty rain, he removed his hood to reveal a mop of black, damp hair and bright amber eyes.

Marie noticed that he continued his retreat, even though he laughed. She heard his response loud and clear. "Ah, wishful thinking, doesn't always work, does it?" She asked rhetorically. She examined his face, when he pulled down his hood. Yes, clearly the pale skin of a vampire. The eyes were quite odd, for they had a golden tint to them. She had heard of other vampires that fed only off animals, and that their eyes were, too, yellow, but his seemed to have a red tint to them as well. "If you are in the area to hunt, I would appreciate it if you were careful. I do take up residence in the city." She informed him politely.

Bradley chuckled, nodding a bit. "Right, right wouldn't want to reveal anything, now would I?" He taunted, watching her every move. No doubt, she was a half-vampire; one of the things he tried his best to keep away from. Quite freaks of nature, as far as he was concerned. "No worries, your precious humans are not the only thing I hunt, nor do I stay in one place for too long." He explained, his accent now recognizably English.
