Erik was siting in his chair behind the desk, waiting for students to come in. He had laid his double-sided war-axe on the desk. The axe also contained peices of his wand.

Trista walked into the classroom, noticing the professor sitting at his desk. "Evening, Professor." She continued forward and took a seat at a desk off to the left in the second row.

Ginger walked in, and found Trista already there. Sliding into the seat next to her, she muttered a quiet greeting to both her and Professor Erik. She was both tired yet excited, and stifling a yawn, she looked around. She wasn't /that/ early, was she?

Trista gave Ginger a small wave as she took the seat next to her. She let out a long yawn after Ginger did, then plopped her head on the desk. "Eh."

"Hey Trista," Ginger said cheerfully, then yawned again at the girl's yawn. "Gosh, I'm tired. I hate being tired," She complained. "How are you?"

Ryu walked into the classroom and sat at a desk. He stared out the window next to him.
Erik didn't make a move when the students started to arrive. He nodded to the girl who had aknowledged him. He raised his hand and started massaging his fiery beard.

"Hey Ginge. I agree." Trista groaned and lifted her head back up. "I'm alright, though. What about you?" Trista turned to Ginger as she spoke, stretching her arms out all about.

Mitsu yawned, stretching as she walked in. Her eyes seemed to be excited as they had taken on that odd glow that she usually wears when she's up to something. Seeing Ginny, Trista and Ryu she said good morning to them all, then to the professor and sat a seat away from Ginny, since she had been noticing her coming onto Ginny a lot was distracting her more then she should be.
"Soooo can't wait for this class to start," she said gleefully.

"I'm fine, just sleepy," Ginger admitted, stifling another yawn. She listened to Mitsu's excitement, and tilted her head. "You like Ancient Runes that much, eh?"

"Well if I'm gonna be an auror, it helps to know these things. besides its like a big mystery!" She said grinning. It was a wonder she wasn't in ravenclaw with her desire for knowledge, but then again she only desired what entertained her.

"Well. I think it's time to start. He picked up his ake and pointed at the blackboard. "I am Proffeser Erik. I am a dwarf. I work in the iron mines in the Norselands, such as Norway. I am here to teach you the valuable art of Ancient Runes. The have many purposes: code, alchemaical purposes, magical purposes, and just plain writing. My ancestors used them as a language to write down history and prophecies. I want you to draw these runes on a peice of parchment, then research and find out what they do. I'll leave it up the entire class period." ((This is what was on the board: http://www.sunnyway.com/runes/warrior.html )) "Now. I want to hear some names. Any volunteers?" he asked. Ryu stood up and said, "My name is Ryu Hanazaki, and I'm a 4th year in Slythering house." "Good, next!"

"mitsuko watson! 5th year and currently in slytherin!" Mitsu said, before staring at the board and letting her mind warp the runes into pictures and grinned.
