i'm really scared for my friend. i think shes becoming annerexic. shes way to thin to begin with, and now she doesnt eat lunch. everyday in the caf, we get some kind of hot lunch (pasta, chicken, cheesburger, etc.) and ocasionally fries. but she ends up throwing all of hers away. we tell her shes skinny (shes only about 100 lbs) and she says, "no im not. im such a fatty, you guys are skinny." which is a lie cuz shes one of the smallest girls in our grade! i want to help her, but she never listens. any advice?

I hope this reply isin't too late. I would start keeping a brief journal of the things she eats and says. then take it to her parents after about a month and talk with them and explain that you are just concerned and want to know if she eats well while she is at home. Explain that you love and care for her and just want to make sure she is well. Your friend may get mad at you at first, but at least she will be alive. Anything beyond that... you really have no control over (unless her parents completely flip out on you... then I would suggest going to the school counselor and asking their advice on the subject. )
