The skys were starless, the moon hidden by a thick veil of clouds. Here in this patch of twisted reality, it was eternally night time, and darkness always reigned. It was here that Ginji found himself awakening, night after night, no matter where he went to sleep. It was here that he continually felt his soul being drawn to, and it was here that he felt his soul gradually becoming twisted and manipulated, tainted by something dark and unshakable, both within him and around him, present, but not discoverable. This fierce evil would consume him, revert him into some some dark and ancient being if it had its way, and in the very worst scenario, ultimately transform him into a Dark Diety, bent towards the death and destruction of even his closest allies. Little did Ginji know that he would soon have to begin his journey here, in this land where he had once fought to protect, at the very egdes of a land known only as The Old Town. His story begins on a night such as this, where our hero first wakes up, covered in blood belonging to someone else....
"Where....Where am I?" Ginji stammered, rubbing his eyes, struggling to see anything. "What the hell is this place, and why do I feel so...ech! That smell! It's like death owns this world..." Ginji stumbled around, his vampiric eyes slowly adjusting to the lack of light, his hands both searching for a weapon, and ready to catch him should he fall. It was then that he noticed the blood, running down his clothes, ans he knew at once it wasn't his. "Oh boy...This can't be good....I need to figure out where I am, and get out of here..." Giving himself a moment to build up a surge of power, Ginji quickly released a short burst of raw energy. "Darkness! Release me!" he cried out, quickly following his instincts and running towards the tiniest glimmer of light he could see. He ran, further and further, untill finally, he found himself in a clearing, quite familliar. "his...this place...I know this place! It's that park...From that book! But...I havn't been back here in forever! What's going on?" Slowly, feeling a need for answers, Ginji made his way to the only place he felt safe, here in this strange town of all places...

((Hehe, good, that's what I was counting on. Very soon, you and I will end up in a fight...and well...Let's just say I think we've both been waiting for this, yeah? I'll tel ya the basics of what I need from you when the time comes, but for now, Nym and I are staging things in the bar.))

Once again, Ginji felt himself pulled to this strange spot. As he awakened, his memories quickly turned to what had happened the night before, clearly realizing in sudden horror what he had encouraged, what he had done. "Nym..." he said out loud, still trying to digest what had occoured. He tried calling for her, not knowing if she would hear him, most vampires could not hear their masters, but many were still drawn by the bond that maker and learner shared. "Nym...Where are you? Where am I?" he called out mentally, desperatly hoping to hear an answer. Fighting back a wave of nausea, he tried to force himself out of the darkness, feeling something pushing and pulling at his soul, his strength quickly being drained by an unknown force.

Through the darkness, Ginji heard a voice. It seemed to trigger a tiny spark within him, though he was unsure of what it was. "COuld...could this be because of Nym's blood? Have I inherited a part of her powers?" he thought to himself. Slowly, he stood up and continued moving, searching for a path to the light. "Nym!" he called out, "I...I need some help here!" As the darkness started to fade into a mere twilight, he thought he saw a figure standing. He could neither make out it's face nor features, but he could guess who it was. "You...you came for me....you came to save me?"

Ginji looked up, forcing himself to stay awake. I don't know...Something has been changing lately...and I don't know what it is...The blood...I don't know whose it is...I thought...I thought it might be yours at first, but I don't know..." He reached out, hoping for a hand to help him up. "FOr now, Let's get back to the main part of town...the bar...That will give us a place to sit down...Also...all yesterday, I felt weak, but...strangly your blood seemed to help..."

Ginji nodded, and simply continued on his way to the bar with Nym.

Once again, Ginji found himself appearing in the land of darkness. "Why...why do I keep findinging myself here...What's going on?" he asked himself, knowing it was only a matter of time before he would lose conciousness here, only to be trapped untill he had enough energy to once again break free from this area. "I don't know what's going on...But I hope Cloud and Nym and Ling can forgive me for everything...I hope I can save myself before it's too late..." With that, Ginji once again lost conciousness, knowing only that tomorow would only be harder.

Meanwhile, in another realm, Ginji was the talk of multiple concerns. "He is loosing his will. We must send HIM in to posses the Darkpyre..."
"No! That will be impossible! HE can not be controlled that easilly. This one, this 'Ginji' as he is known now is strong, perhaps the strongest of his kind. Certainly the strongest that we could ever hope to obtain. If HE was to merge with this Ginji, and Ginji were to contain him, and take his power, even we could be obliterated. To think that even Anyx and Vora, two of our own, were not enough to make Ginji ours, does not bode well for us. Vora was supposed to turn Ginji against his female friend, not make him Turn her! And Anyx failed in making Ginji destroy the Lightbringer, a victory we desperatly needed."
"If that is the case though, we must send HIM! HE is the only one who could posisbly acheive a total Merge. And besides, when we make the Conversian, the stronger the posessing spirit, the closer the Host will be to acheiving the Diety staus we hope to make him achieve."
"It is decided...When the next Advent Cycle begins, we will send HIM in. But for now, we will continue as planned. That is all for now."

Meanwhile, back on the Earthly Plane, unknown to the Darker Beings, a battle was already going on within Ginji. The light powers dormant within Ginji had started to re-awaken, fueld by the light Energies gained from Nym's blood. It was this light energy inside of Ginji that allowed him, barely, to maintain any sense he had of self, and it was this small miracle that had kept him from losing complete controll. Unfortunatly for him though, without a new infusion of blood from any source, the Light energies would soon dissapate. And unless he recieved an infusion from Cloud or Nym themselves, he would quickly loose controll completely, on the start of the next Advent Cycle.

Cloud sprouted his wings and flew straight up,knowing Ginji was not in this wold. He flew towards the clock tower and sat toward the edge of the face of the clock.
