my favorite is: Merry, Metronome and NEer crazy, i have a looooooooooooooooooooooooot more, but i jsut picked some band, hope you know some of them XD

*glomps Merry* Mine and I'm not sharing!!! twisted ... So, anyways... My favorite band is definitely Merry. Next to Merry I really like D, Antique Cafe, and Guniw Tools. Actually, my favorite older band is Guniw Tools. That would mean that my favorite more recent band it Merry... I should start a thread for Guniw Tools... Hm... What do you think?

(if you count Due le Quartz, he's there thrice)
I've never even heard of Merry...or Guniw Tools...then again
I haven't heard of alot of people/groups sweatdrop
And just because they're my current obsession, I have
to go with D'espairsRay...I absolutely adore Hizumi's voice :3

D'esRay is a good choice. You have excellent taste in music... Even if you don't know a lot of bands/singers. XD I am so going to make that thread. If not now then maybe tomorrow. A thread we can all benifit from and come to love and really enjoy... Mostly me and my need to talk about my favorite band, but it's all good. I love me. X3

I'm not sure. Gara (Merry), Kyo (Dir en Grey), Ryutaro (Plastic Tree), Miku (Antique Cafe), Meguru (Panic Channel), Full (ex-Guniw Tools), Isshi (Kagrra), Tatsurou (MUCC), and Daishi (ex-Psycho le Cemu) all probably have the most distinct voices. They're untique and each one is beautiful and special in their own way. I really admire their singing abilities... and their voices. However, to pick just one for a favorite is hard. I must agree about Gara. He had a wonderful voice. Full has such as fascinating voice and style. It's weird... Like he's just seems to stick out more. I really and in love with Full's voice. So, Gara is second best.

I mean you can't tell us that you never liked Gackt. You had to of liked him when he was in Malice Mizer at the very least. I'm serious about that two. I mean my mum even kinda likes him... Or vice versa. I'm apparently one of the only Gackt fans who doesn't like Malice Mizer.
In any case, why isn't X Japan on that list? I'd definitely count them as one of the best bands.

Awhile ago I was watching Syunikiss and my mom happened to be around.
She asked who it was because she liked his voice.
Then: Shock Wave '99. Lecca was on at the time and she came over to
see. I quote: "...the only thing masculine about him is his voice. Are
you sure he's not a transie?" ^.^'
She liked his voice but thought he was a freak....especially in his Malice
Mizer days. I've grown out of my Gackt faze again, but I have to
admit...damn, that man can sing. Hizuki-chan i liek [Miyavi] becasue he looks good, his music sucks a** biggrin I wouldn't like a band or artist just because of their looks. Of course looks
are always a bonus, but I prefer a singer whose voice I can put up with,
music that just feels right to me, and properly written lyrics are always good.
Miyavi is kinda cute, and it is funny watching him make a dork of himself,
but his music is not for me, so I can't really say I like him at all. Hizuki-chan if you like J-rock you must like [Gackt]...>_< that's so wrong! neutral I haven't ever heard anyone say that you have to like a specific artist.
It is true that many J-Rock fans do, or at some point have liked him, but it's
all a matter of opinion. I don't agree with people who go against what the majority
thinks "just because that's not cool". I think judging people by their reputation
is a pretty shallow thing to do. I for one, like to form my own opinions. Tael Nightengale In any case, why isn't X Japan on that list? I'd definitely count them as one of the best bands. Only 10 options fit on a list...so not all the bands are going to fit...obviously xD
