Home Life: Camilla lives with her mother, Leonora, while her father, Arturo, is back in Italy on business. Both her parents are Italian. (They met one night when Leonora was rushing back home from work and bumped into him.) She was doing filing and paperwork for the Italian Ministry of Magic, but when Arturo and she got married, she quit and became a happy housewife. Arturo worked law enforcement at the time, but was promoted over the years and now travels to train and test new recruits. You could say he was a professor of sorts. The Bennetts moved from Italy to England when Camilla was four-years-old.
The Bennetts live in a tiny, two-story brick town-home in the country just outside England. Their yard is always manicured because her mother works in it all of the time and they have a tiny pond in the back.
Diving deeper: With both her parent's being magical, they just knew their daughter would be, too. However, she didn't display any magical ability until she was eight-years-old, making her pencil move by itself and creating the image she was thinking. At the age of eleven, Camilla received her letter from Hogwarts, making both her parents very relieved, but proud. (because she was a little slow to develop her magic.) With her father away, Camilla developed a strong bond with her mother. She has developed more of a deep respect, worshiping relationship with her father. She holds him in very high reverence. When he does come home for visits, she tells him how well she's doing in school, what she's learned. Just trying to make him proud of her.
Camilla is rather spoiled, but she is very grateful for what she gets and has. Because of the fact she is an only child and has been home-schooled, she is very quiet, and yet not afraid to speak her mind when the time comes. She's also timid, but not shy--criticism, loud noises, and anything sudden, scaring her. She's sweet and very loyal, anyone coming in contact with her resting assured they have a friend for life.
Camilla is a tiny, exotic thing. Very small for her age, she is often mistaken for a second-year, even a first-year (depending on her hair-style). She has long, chocolate-brown hair, brown-black, almond shaped eyes, and olive skin.
Camilla is a simple girl, liking almost anything and easy going. Her favorite color is yellow, and her favorite animal is a deer. She eats almost anything, but is particularly fond of, of course, Italian food and sweets. She loves to draw in her free-time and is quite good at it. She was very excited her first year to become a Hufflepuff because of the colors, and then entering the house, she felt immediatly at home.
Because she likes her first and middle name, she always announces herself as such. Camilla Rose. She feels if fits her princess, dainty-like attitude.
Taking a closer look:
Camilla packed her trunk with her new uniform, robes, books, and letters she had saved from Hogwarts over the years. She had no idea why she saved them. Sentimental value, she guessed. She folded each article of clothing, obsessing over the seams and making sure there were no wrinkles, and packed them tightly.
Camilla gave a tiny bounce of her wand off of her knee and caught it mid-air with her hand. Ha! she thought, triumphantly. It had taken her all summer to learn that one! She smiled and placed her greatest treasure in a tiny wooden box with velvet lining and slipped it into her shoulder-bag. Her cat, Tabby, meowed at the fact she gave the wand more attention than he. "Oh, Tabby!" she said, roughing his fur between the ears, making him purr.
Camilla heard her mother's sweet voice call from downstairs. She grabbed her things and headed down. "Good morning, Mama!" she said, throwing her arms around her mother's neck.
Shortly, her things were loaded into the family car and she was on her way to the train station.
"Oh, my dear," her mother sighed, hugging her when they arrived. "Are you ready?" she asked. Camilla nodded.
Her father stood behind with his arms open. She ran to him and hugged him tightly. "Papa!"
"We'll miss you, little bug."
"I'll miss you, too!" she smiled. And with the goodbyes, she headed to the start of her sixth-year at Hogwarts.
