The day was turning over to the night, and a lion walked into the changing horizon, coat easily blending with the darker blues that came. Had it not been for the radiant, almost glowing cyan that covered his shoulders, back, and half of his face, he would have been barely noticeable to local spectators. But that was how he liked it.
A lean, bold paw stepped forward as a sharp, silver eye glossed over the eminent scenery. The other one, orange and vibrant instead, locked onto the shadowed distance, and the lion took in a deep breath; there was no nearby prey, and had there been any others near the area, there wasn't enough to elicit his attention. He felt alone for the moment, but that could easily change. So he trudged on, keeping his ears alert for good presence, and put a content smile on his face.
Grass made way for the intruder, accepting of its fate; the lion's black tail swept against it as a flicker of another bright cyan in streaks was caught shifting through. Why was no one around when one came to a brilliant conclusion to share, while crowds usually formed when one desired harmonious solitude for quiet introspection?!

Emm'ahlie stood out just as much as the male she was approaching did in the night. Her body mostly blended in with the backdrop behind her. The black just perfect enough to let her blend in most of the time, she could hide in almost every dark place you could think of! However there was something that normally threw it off. Her markings, bright green and glowing on top of that. She had to be very creative with her hunting most of the time, on top of that she ended up failing a lot of the time. Normally by the time she got creative she was feeling sick and had to pause again.
She had always been sick as long as she could remember when growing up. She wasn't that sure why but she had fainting spells and her parents would make her stay home in her den all the time she wasn't allowed to play, she wasn't allowed to do anything but walk. Her mother using it as an excuse to 'be a lady' and that 'ladies didn't run', anything that would work for that moment.
She lifted her head as she slowly made her way toward a tree, it was a tree that she had found a few times before, in the middle of some grasses there was a random little tall grass grew around it because of lack of water, it was a great place to rest, and gods she needed to rest again. She let out a sigh before flopping down under it. Closing her eyes and letting out a sigh. This was nice. She tried to keep her eyes open she wasn't ready to sleep yet.

The vibrant green did well to stand out amongst the other duller, darkened greens of the shifting grasses. It was through the tall grasses that the enchanting color on the lioness drew the attention of a golden, sharp eye, and a steady, nonthreatening pace took the male over to the nearby tree. Ears twitched as he was focused on his goal - he thought he heard a sigh escape from the figure ahead, and tilted a curious head.
As soon as he was close enough to be spotted whole, he made a small grin at the female resting against the lonesome though prominent tree. She, too, had marks similar to his, though none as brilliant in color, but more intriguing nonetheless. She looked deviously delightful, with her palette of greens sticking out amidst the darkness surrounding.
"Oh, what beauty do we have here?" he questioned nonchalantly, with an offered friendly smile.
"You look a little too down and alone for someone with your looks; or maybe I've stumbled across a very dangerous, conniving lioness, which would explain the quietness, and should get a head start on running," he jested.

Emm'ahlie sat back just slightly more on the tree her tail flicking around behind her. She was quiet relax, she wasn't that sure if she was going to work up the energy or not, or if she was just going to be able to sit here and fall asleep. As her eyes started to open and close once more however as she did she noticed something blue out of the corner of her eye. It made her rest her head on her paws, she felt like she was going to faint once more. Random colors helped her believe this... But Why were they getting closer to her. She wasn't that sure until she heard a voice.
she was pretty much startled away however she looked up and blinked at the male in front of her. She made herself sit up some and she smiled slightly back at him. She was about to speak but he interrupted her by speaking again himself. she chuckled slightly then shook her head. "I'm not sad." she spoke her voice was quiet her voice was motherly.
"I can promise you that I'm no threat either." She smiled nodding toward him. "You can join me, I would really enjoy some company." She reached her tail out and patted the ground next to her. She always liked company, mainly because if kept her awake when she didn't have anything else to. "I have... a problem, I have low amounts of energy you can say." she chuckled slightly shaking her head, her breath starting to even out as she stayed relax. "What is your name?"

Her returned smiles only made the male more cheerful, though he noticed the obvious soft spoken and more gentle nature of the lioness. A small concern came up for her, as well as thoughts on why such a unique female could take on a meek role, but he knew he would eventually come to a conclusion or theory. Many insights offered themselves to the male along his numerous journeys, and this one would be no different.
"I assumed much when I didn't see any warning signs of aggression. That, or you're a pretty good trickster!" he replied, "And of course - I'm up for some evening mischief. Anytime."
He strode to the flat patch of grass next to the lioness with a mildly excited air about him, and paused, his own tail moving back and forth in anticipation. It seemed as though she wished to stay still; well, if they were confined to this small area, so be it - for now, at least, it was comfortable to rest temporarily.
"Oh, call me Dude, and you?" he answered slower than he normally would, immediately reflecting on her words prior to the request for his name.
He could tell, now, that he would be glad for stopping to remain in the green lioness's company, if even for a short while. If she lacked energy, he was the complete opposite; his own body was brimming with physical will and the drive for activity, though he tamed it well, also enjoying the more relaxing forms of living. Though if such a thing was a problem, he did not know, but wished to know such lethargy. If anything, having too much energy was a problem in itself when others were unable to keep up.
"And that's a problem how?" he finally inquired after some thought, "What do you mean by low amounts of energy? Well, if you have enough energy to meet me, it can't be that much of a problem!"

Emm'ahlie flicked her tail behind her before chuckling slightly. She was glad to have company tonight, some one to keep her from completely and randomly pass out, sure she might end up doing it but her brain would have had just a little more stimulation than she had on a normal lonely day, she enjoyed it having some one around. "Maybe I'm a pretty good trickster." She let out another light laugh. She flashed him a grin before shaking her head in laughter. "What can I say, I can tell you that I'm only up to good"
Emm looked at him keep an eye on what he was doing. Even though she was welcoming to the male she didn't want to be tricked into something. She didn't want to get hurt, it was already bad enough she was always tired. "Dude? Alright." She chuckled and nodded toward him before sitting back agianst the base a little more. "My name is Emm'ahlie. Call me what you please." She stretched out just a little more before competely settling where she was.
She looked at the male before flicking her hair out of her eyes and shrugged. "Its a odd thing. I guess you can take it as a sickness." She didn't like to think of it like that but when it came down to it, it was really the best way that she could describe it. "I can go for a certain amount of time before I faint or get so tired I can't walk. Some times I can't eat, I can't sleep it's to bad, it doesn't make much sense but it's true." She mde a face then sighed.
"It can end up being a problem when I can't hunt at times. But..." Her voice trailed slightly before she laughed letting out a large grin. "I take it all pretty good! I don't mind it, I really don't."

Oh, did he stumble upon a golden nugget amidst a lonely plain of dirt. Dude enjoyed good girls--especially ones with his type of humor. Honest lionesses also always wound up in his good graces, and he was pleased when one owned up to their own character.
As he was being watched, his eyes wandered to the clear, rootless space against the tree and beside the lioness. A quick nod indicated his acknowledgment of her name, and he lumbered jovially over to rest beside his companion. Before he could do anything else, though, she had continued an explanation of her ailment, and he listened with careful, curious ears.
At first, Dude would have said something akin to remarking how awful it must have been to be in a constant tired state through the days. Had he been that way, he wouldn't surely have gained all the experiences he went through, nor would he have seen life in its extreme states and appreciated it for all life was worth. Along with Emm'ahlie, Dude made a face, shook his head, and muttered disapprovingly at the condition.
"But," he then began, "You're quite the tough one, then!"
He smiled and raised a paw to gently pat Emm'ahlie on the back, commending her with living through the trouble of which she spoke. It seemed like she endured more trouble than what it was worth, and that itself deserved recognition.
"That's alright, though," Dude said again, leading himself now into a stretch, "If you're hungry now I'll go out and come back pretty fast. I'm lightning quick! The other day I was out by myself for an evening meal. I saw a massive herd of fast buggers, and was able to sneak one out from under the herd's noses without any notice at all. I was in there one second, and gone the next. It's great how those things don't even have a buddy system to help each other out, huh?"
A laugh emitted, Dude attempting to lighten up the mood, though Emm'ahlie seemed to already have been taking his company in well.

Emm looked over at the other feline and laughed just slightly, a smile brought to her face by this male's company. She flicked her hair out of her eyes before nodding toward him. "I guess I am pretty tough." She pawed at him a bit before giving him a good look over. Taking in his markings now that she had a moment where she was feeling even the slightest bit better she could concentrate on one thing. Her vision was no longer slightly blurry. She had the feeling in her toes. She could already feel things starting to brighten up and having some company was very nice. Something she glad to have.
Her eyes moved quickly over his markings taking in everyone. Now that she really looked at his he was pretty cute. A smirk grew to her lips. That made it so much better she was spending some time with a cute male. she almost started to chuckle at herself but she held it back.
"I'm not really that hungry." She laughed slightly as she shook her head, the light laugh still present in her voice. "Well. I'll keep in mind that you are fast." She winked at him before stretching out and wiggling her toes. "I'm thirsty though." She made a small face at the idea before she looked up at him. "Do you think you can help me get to a watering hole some where around here if there is one." She looked at him with a bit of a hopeful look. she didn't want to look like a beggar of sorts but she really would have appreciated some help.

The smile on the blue male's mouth widened when he noticed Emm'ahlie's not so inconspicuous looks. Her playful touches of paw also added to his delight, and by the time she was smirking, he too had an expression to match.
Honestly, the glances reassured his confidence in himself, and he knew the cautious space usually thrown between two strangers was waning quickly between him and Emm'ahlie. With this in mind, he began to boldly inch closer, starting to curl his tail around hers. Until he was taken aback by her remark, Dude was just starting to get comfortable.
"What?!" he gasped briefly, then immediately half holding in a burst of laughter, "Touché. I gave you that one."
Dude now could say that he truly, fully appreciated Emm'ahlie's humor.
"Fast, hah," he mumbled, looking on as the lioness stretched her body - he smiled at the view, and then pondered for a small moment when she gave him her request.
Of course, Dude had no reason to turn such a face or character down; he nodded with an excited smile, letting his arm fit against Emm'ahlie's as he got closer and said, "I'm sure we'll find one near enough. Shall we?"
He got close to almost flank her, in a motion that meant he would gladly escort her on the journey to wherever they would find their watery goal. "After all, a lovely lady such as yourself, especially with your condition, should accept some aid when someone like me is around, yeah?"

Emm was glad to see that he was also in a pretty good mood. She couldn't help but to feel just as happy. She stretched one of her paws back before she noticed that his tail was starting to wrap around her own. She looked at him before grinning a little more, a purr escaping her throat making sure to make it clear that she didn't mind. She leaned in just a little more before wrapping her tail around his making sure that he wasn't going to move.
Her face quickly grew into a smirk as she looked at him nodding before arching a brow at him. "You gave me that one?" She laughed and stuck out her tongue at him before winking. "I'm pretty sure that I took that one." She sat back some, taking a deep breath in. As she stretched you could see some of her rips and some bones sticking out. Not that bad but enough to be noticed. Emm was pretty skinny, it wasn't a horrible skinny but you could see some of her ribs.
Her smirk stayed on her face, she was pretty amused, she liked running into others. She glanced at him before grinning and licking his cheek as he got closer to her. "Well, I really hope we would." She winked at him before looking around. "Ah, I guess I should. Well... It's more of I want to take advantage of you." Her voice was playful. She couldn't help it. She yawned slightly before she pushed herself up and glanced at him. Her body swayed just the slightest bit, her balance was hard to find at first but she most of the way got it after a few seconds of standing, she really hoped that he was going to help her.

With each look Emm'ahlie gave, Dude studied it very closely. Her purr of reassurance kept his stance unwavering, his eyes intently focused, and her leaning in just practically sealed the deal for him. Despite her statement of ill wellness, she still held a vibrant spirit inside. Dude would have loved nothing more than to delve into her inner being, and perhaps learn a thing or two on the way, though there was not much he did not know.
His only response to his female companion's mirthful reaction was an amused smile, thinking it would be alright this time to let the girl think she had the upper hand in talking back. It was the least he could do for their night together; so he relaxed, taking in the sight of Emm'ahlie breathing in. He found the delicateness of her body more appealing by the moment; Dude always had a thing for smaller lionesses, so he instinctively moved closer at an angle, to almost wrap his own body around hers. He couldn't get any more comfortable than this.
It was a pity that they were about to embark on their quest for the thirst quench. Dude was about to refocus, but then a sudden lick on his cheek caught him off guard, and brought his reality back to the black and green beauty beside him. She really liked him, did she?
As he moved his face closer to hers, he muttered into her ears, "You won't be taking advantage when I can be the one doing that, my dear. But why take advantage when you can... just get it."
His eyes flickered towards the distance with Emm'ahlie now up, and his arm nudged the female's body to rest upon his. He started moving, then, bold smile still remaining on his face, and attempted to get in sync with her body as he trudged on through their duet of a walk. Despite the inconvenience, it all worked out for the better - he was enjoying the way she felt walking against him, and multiple times he pressed more firmly against her on purpose. His assertion wasn't something he would normally impose on one he just met, but something told him the lioness was having as much fun as he was.

Emm'ahlie looked at the male for a moment before at her surroundings. She flicked her hair out of her face before licking her lips and bumping into him just slightly, it was a playful kind of move but she was sure that he already knew that much. She noticed he seemed somewhat caught up into his thoughts. She wondered what was going on in his mind but then shrugged it off. She leaned into him a little more before a chuckle escaped her maw when he talked.
She smirked as she thought for a moment before she leaned up slightly to his ear. "Because if I take advantage it makes it so much more interesting." She smirked a little more before she noticed his body movement and leaned against him just the slightest bit more. She looked around trying to sniff out the water herself. She couldn't pick up on anything but then again once more she knew once she wasn't feeling that great all of her senses weren't the best. She had to get some water soon. She really hoped that he knew where he was going.

He loved it so much when girls did silly things to make sure what extra hair they had was to their liking, and when they tried to allure him into their own playful moves. What he liked more than that was a girl who knew how to be playful in words as well; now was not the time to pretend argue, though, even if the joke about her taking advantage of him wasn't one of the best she could have made. Manipulation was not an appreciated sentiment by Dude, but he was sure she did not mean that. He always made sure the two individuals in the party knew exactly what the other one's intentions were, especially his; and he did not mean to harm any part of a female, be it physically or emotionally. He made sure to receive the same treatment from everyone he interacted in his travels.
"Huh. I like, then," he said softly, resigning to going along with Emm'ahlie's words.
A smile came on his lips, amused at her trying to sniff for water. He liked to listen for signs of it instead, as the scent of mud, which usually indicated water, wasn't a very appealing thing to acknowledge if he had the choice.
"It's really easy to find these things when you've been around, you know? Not many places are different than the normal, and even when they are, you can sometimes still find a watering hole near surrounding rows of trees, which would be near a gradual disappearance and shortening of rocks, mostly with trails that used to be scattered all around, all converging in the same direction. It's fun to get lost in a place new, but I find that I am actually not lost because such landmarks are easy to find. There aren't many times where I feel lost, actually..."
And as they walked, Dude knew they weren't too far off from a body of water in the first place. Through some shrubbery to the side held an isolated pool, albeit small, it was suitable for the two. Nothing disturbed the fresh, still, and clear waters of the clearing, which made it all the more... relaxing.

Emm'ahlie chuckled slightly when he was talking about it was easier to find things when you've been around the area before. She leaned into him for a moment before leaning away just the slightest bit catching her balance. She licked her lips before nodding toward him. "It is." She laughed a bit before looking up. "I used to know the place I lived at like the back of my hand, however since then I've been wandering a lot, I haven't really settled at all since then." She looked down at her paws before looking up once more. She remembered the day that she left, she was really never that sure of it, but she did it anyway.
She moved closer to him when he started to talk about feeling lost. "I know the feeling." She laughed slightly before looking up. "When I left my home lands I felt pretty lost about the idea, and then on top of that with me passing out some times I forget where I am." She laughed a bit then smiled at him. "Are we almost there?" She asked but then as she looked up she caught the smell of the water. "Oo" She purred slightly before picking up her pace the slightest bit going just a little faster than him.
When they reached the water she moved as close as she could to the water. Grinning as she lapped it up quickly loving the feeling of the cool water roll down her throat, she moved forward a bit dipping her paws into the water before smiling and look back at him with a nod. "Thank you very much."

As they talked, nods were given to indicate that Dude was listening, though he didn't have much to add himself. What she was saying was honestly vaguely interesting; what was more interesting to him was the way she was walking then, and the way she was looking everywhere in her attentive stride. He was glued to her frame like a hypnotized mouse, though he was well aware and knew what cards he would have to play if he were to act a little bit more than friendly around this lioness he had just met.
Dude felt reassured when he saw her own physical cues--the flickers of the eye towards him, and the close contact between their two bodies showed her own liking to him. So he smiled when she did, and nodded knowingly at her query. And when she quickened her pace, he followed after in a joyful gait until the two finally reached the edge of the water.
He chuckled politely as Emm'ahlie drank from it without hesitance; it was like she hadn't been refreshed for quite a while!
"I'm glad I could help," Dude stated simply, taking a nonchalant lean into her figure. A rumbling of his purr could then be heard as he set aside the quenching water in front of him in favor of something else that substituted a thirst...
