((OOC... This tower is to the east of the town surrounded by high grasses. It will become the home of Kael'thas and others. No real rules except to be polite and mindful of Kita's rules.))
The tall wild grasses around the base of the tower waved slightly in the faint breeze that slipped through the area. The crumbling stones of the path still kept them mostly at bay. At least enough that a human or ghostling could find the way upwards. The wood of the door was discolored, weathered by age, and even broken at the bottom, but it still remained partially shut. Just enough room to slip past it and inside remained and Kael took advantage of that, waiting for Jaina to follow him.
"As I said, it needs repaired, but some could be restored easily I believe." Stepping to the side, he studied the room that lay before them. Large enough that he could easily imagine servants greeting guests and showing them the comforts they required. A fireplace could be seen just at the back wall though it looked as if unused in a very long time. A ramp went upwards on both sides, just like the towers that his people used to have. Kael never noticed the hidden staircase that went downwards towards the basement. But at the top was not a teleportation device but simple a level that went off in both directions and doors could be seen down each.
Just in front of them, yet another set of ramps went upwards leading to another level and set of rooms. This went on for several floors before they finally reached the top. It was one large open room with windows and two doors. There seemed to be no hole in the ceiling for which he was slightly thankful. The weather would remain outside that way. Old tables and chairs were scattered as were several shelves, some with books still there.
He glanced over at Jaina when they reached the top, asking, "Shall we make this room the magical research room, Jaina? It seems like it should be. Of course we should go through the other rooms and make certain they are unoccupied also. There could also be things there we could use. And I should perhaps give Percy a room of his own since he will be bringing things here for me to work with."
All in all this suited him very well. He was happy that he had found such a place so quickly.

Once Kael announced their arrival Jaina took time to look up at the size of the tower from outside. It appeared to be rather large all in all, she wondered if others from the festival would make their way here. She took in each part of it as they moved through the tower thoughtfully considering what needed to be done. She didn't know what Kael was plotting but once the few areas she had noted had been fixed there was actually quite a few rooms that could be used. One section could be for students, she decided she would claim one of the larger side rooms with a bay window as her own but decided to work on that later on following along behind Kael to the top of the tower.
"Your right, I noted only three places that appeared to need major work, the rest would be more in cleaning and adding in that which we want for our living places within the tower." She then shifted her attention to the top room looking over it critically, stepping to the side she lifted her staff summoning a gust of wind to open the windows on either side of the tower. "Shutters will need to be worked on, but this would make a good room for research," gesturing to the stairs with the staff she continued, "a library could be put to the small room at the bottom of the stairs. Since I doubt we could fit a library here along with the other tools we will need."
She moved over toward a long forgotten book, leaning to open it up, "we should have one of the others that doesn't seem to much to do gather up these old books. Some of them may be worth restoring." Her voice was focused as she moved over the area her mind plotting out what next needed to be done.
"I believe this will do very nicely, I'd like to claim the room with the bay window for myself."

Kael glanced over at her with a smile. "I figured you'd take that one, but the other one has alot of windows to make up for a large bay. I'll still enjoy it."
He frowned for a moment. "A library in its own room would work better, but still maybe keep a bookshelf here for the tomes we use the most often. I'll have Percy start looking for books and blank paper as well as... " He suddenly hesitated laughing. "We should just make him a list. Let him live here so long as he brings things for us. And Percy can do alot I think. He seems to like burrowing into garbage for shinies. If he brings us things while he's out, it satisfies us both."
Glancing around, he nodded. "Let's see if we can find something to write on and with, and then make a list of where we want the library and start a list of things we want Percy to look for. That way when he shows up, we can get him started." He moved towards the next room. It looked as if used for a bedroom and he used to keep a desk in his own room. Perhaps whomever used to be here did the same.

Jaina nodded slightly in agreement, "of course shelves of the most used tomes and some way to keep our research notes secure and safe. Perhaps we should have him keep an eye out for some crafting supplies as well." She moves over tossing aside a book too damaged from the elements to keep let along read. "Might be able to put together a wand if decent enough wood is around."
"The festival might have a lot of the things we'll need to start repairs on this place. Carpentry supplies were along over by those booths they were setting up." Moving through the rooms Jaina started separating things between those that could be used or might be salvageable and that which was not.
"I of course don't mind if this errand boy of yours stays here as long as he doesn't go scavenging through my things or something." Turning over a thick cloth she found in the corner Jaina considered a moment before putting it in the salvageable pile, looked to be some old curtains or something. "We'll need to do quite a bit of looking to get this place back up to something actually inhabitable and workable."

Kael had gone into his room, stopping to stare around him. It would take some time to get everything cleaned and ready for his use. But it would serve until then. There was even a large bed to one side, the curtains draped around were definitely dirty. They would have to go.
Pulling the drawer open on the desk, he moved a few things around. When he saw it, Kael smiled widely. As he had suspected, there was still several sheets of paper there. Opening a second drawer, he found old letters and papers. Not what he wanted. Opening the third and fourth drawers, he dug around in the bottoms of both. Finally he pulled his hand out with the stub of a pencil in it. The lead was sharpened enough that he could make the list at least, providing that it did not break.
Moving back towards Jaina with two sheets of paper, he said, "Found something to write with. I'm going to start a list." Picking up a small table that was unbroken though slightly rickety, he placed the paper and pencil on the center. "Just add what you think we need. Percy can work on it as he goes." A sudden thought occurred to him causing a slight frown. "I hope the boy can read. If not that is the first thing we will have to teach him."
He held the pencil in hand and began his list.Quote: carpenter's tools & supplies paper pencils glass bottles & stoppers 2 brooms 2 buckets crafting tools & supplies
Walking away, he looked at the shape of the room. "We might need a couple large tables in here to work on. It would make it easier. Something like those library tables would be best. I don't think Percy could do that alone though. So we might just be better off building something here rather than try to move something in."
Frowning thoughtfully as he picked up an old bottle to inspect, he said, "I am going to need a burner of sorts also. For potions. I might have to find someone to make it for me. I wonder if I could get a human to even understand such."

Well that had taken him longer than he'd anticipated. Apparently h e'd chosen the long way around the town, and he was tuckered out and grumpy by the time he reached the tower. He stomped up the path and glared up at the old thing. It looked run down and grimy, but that didn't dissuade this little ghostling. He simply was feeling disagreeable, so nothing could please him. He was hot fro his hike, his tails were droopy, and his belt was chafing him. With a grumble he pushed open the creaky door that all ghostling haunts were required to have when no living were supposed to come near, and stomped on in.
Now normally his boots made quite a bit of noise all on their own, their weight always making noise on wooden floors. But when he chose to, he could double and triple the amount of compling that those boots made, and now was one of those times. He glanced around the first room, then began his noisy way up one of the ramps, not caring if he was going the right way or not. That long hike had completely changed his attitude, and even Rompa knew to keep still and quiet. It wasn't that Percy was violent when angry, but he certainly was determinedly petulant when in such a stormy mood.

Kael glanced around as he continued to move things to his taste. Dusting and cleaning took time but in this instance, he did not mind to do this. When he and Jaina were finished then they would have a place worthy of magical research. It was what they both wanted and it reminded him of before. Even though they had been more or less enemies, they had each been doing what they needed for their own people.
When he noted the clomping, a faint smile appeared on his face. Percy had arrived. And if the noise was an indication of his attitude, he was unhappy about something. Or wanted to ensure Kael knew he was here.
"I believe Percy has arrived, Jaina." he began, then frowned when a beam of light burst overhead, shaking the ceiling while causing dust and a bit of rubble to fall to the floor and over everything he had just cleaned up.
"What was that?" he asked, turning to stare in the direction it had gone. "That was.. powerful..." It could not be a good omen.

Jaina had been organizing various things she had found considering the best way to get tables and shelves into the rooms when she picked up the sound of Percy's boots. Wrinkling her brow she moved over to the ramp a moment her attention pulled away at Kael's explanation, "he is a rather noisy one, to say the least." Shaking her head slightly she moved back over to her table with the list on it.
The light from the sky drew her attention as well. Jaina grasped her staff more tightly watching the light show. Memories of past trials and the creatures that had accompanied them had come to her, "no not a good omen at all...we need to make this place ready."
"Though I hope there is time to be ready...but for what, I can only guess."

His large ears easily picked up the voices above him, guiding him upwards. He trudged up the ramps, still scowling and stomping his feet. He didn't call out or even make sure he was welcome to intrude. So petulant was he that he staunchly ignored the shaking of the ground, the scattering of dust filtering down on him, though luckily enough no debris conked him on the head.
When he finally reached their level, he clomped over to a niche between bookcases, slumped down to the floor, and grumpily crossed her arms, not looking at or speaking to either of the room's inhabitants. He was in a full blown pouting fit, and he wasn't about to come out of it of his own volition. Like a young child, he felt his indignance required attention from others before he'd feel satisfied.

Jaina watched Percy make his way over to the bookcases and fall into a slump. It seemed that Kael had chosen a ghostling that was more then a little childish. It came quickly to mind how she'd handle such a situation had it been one of her apprentices attempting to act in such a fashion. However, these were different times and he was not her apprentice.
Shifting slightly she looked over to Kael, "hm, I believe he has arrived...perhaps he knows something of what is going on outside." She didn't draw attention to the apparent fit as she was sure Kael could easily enough see it. With that she moved over to a nearby window, she'd deal with the issue only when it was asked of her.

Kael'thas glanced over at the ghostling. Definitely a child as he had thought, but that also made him moldable for what they needed. "I'm very glad you are here, Percy." He moved towards the bookcases where he sat. For a moment, he stared.
Shift his attention to something he likes.
The thought was there as he watched him. Noting the bag, he asked, "How is that bag working for you?" Percy had been very happy when Kael had magicked it for him. "Did you find lots of shinies for yourself?"
Of course he would pay some attention to Percy first. He wanted him to help willingly. In the long run it would save some trouble as well as his own time and patience with the ghostling. They wanted to build this tower to suit them, not dawdle around forever while noone knew what to do. He could be patient when he had a reason to be so. And when he felt that Percy had enough of his attention, he would shift to the subject of the list and whether Percy could read or write.

Percy gave a great, loud huff of exasperation and looked up at his benefactor. In response to the question, he scrunched up his face. "Yes, but I took the long way around and now I'm hot." It clearly displeased him that something like this could and had happened to him. But the mention of the bag and its contents reminded him of this task. He sat up straighter and opened the pouch, sticking both paws in to rummage around in it.
Carefully, as a child might handle plastic crystal cups, he set out a small blue glass bottle, corked with something sloshing inside. The memory of it made him grimace, but he kept on bringing his found treasures for his master out. Next came another container, this time a pot of grease that smelled distinctly fishy in nature, a mouse tail, a very porous rock, the decapitated head of a fish with rows of razor sharp, tiny teeth, and a couple dried up lizards about the size of a man's pinky. He tried to pull out his handful of dead leaves, but all that was left was a handful of crumbles. Disgusted with the failure of that particular attempt, he tossed the dust away.
Task accomplished, he displayed the array of objects with a sweep of his dirty paws. "There. Potion ingredients." Hovering between proud and still very gurmpy, he peered up at Kael dubiously. This was the point where he either cut and ran or stuck around for a chance at more goodies like the pouch. Not to mention this was a pretty neat place to hole up. His boots made such lovely echoes here!

Kael picked up the various bottles, scanning their contents as well as the others that lay before him. Those he could use, he put to one side. Then he moved all to a shelf nearby. "Very nicely done, Percy. Do not worry over the leaves. I believe if you find a container that is sturdier you will be able to gather some of those."
For a moment he hesistated, thinking on the list. "Find a room you like and keep it for your own if you like. My room is that one and Jaina's is that one. This room will be the main room for potion mixing and magic. I have a list of things we need." He stared at Percy a minute. "Can you read? I was unsure if you could. If you cannot, it does not matter. We can draw images next to the words so that you know what and how many to get. Is there anything else you need?"
He glanced over at Jaina to see if she had anything to add. Then he turned to sort the things that had been found. If each had a place then they would be able to find whatever they needed easily. Pulling the teapot out from his bag, he placed it on the table. For a moment it rocked slightly and he moved hesitantly back from.
A loud snore was heard suddenly coming from it. Kael glanced at Jaina and then at Percy. "I think there is something sleeping inside my teapot. Strange..."

Slowly she opens her eyes everything around her was dark but warm for a moment she just layed where she was curled into a ball her soft ember colored eyes scanned the darkness the more she looked around the more her eyes got used to the darkness
She didn't know where she was but wherever it was the ground underneath her hooves was soft very soft and warm as her eyes got used to the darkness she realized there were these poles holding up a roof over her head and along the edges a cloth hung down at first she didn't know what it was when she heard the word canopy bed in her head whatever it was she liked it she figured it was why it was so dark
Finally though she decided to get up she couldn't just lay where she was forever as much as she would have liked to so first she uncurled her long soft tail from around her then rolled over and tryed getting up on her hooves but she found getting up was more difficult then she thought but she finally managed to get her footing and stood up stright she could now see more then she could before when she was laying on her side and stared in awe at the big bed the foot board and header along with the posts which held up the canopy all had well carved shapes in them mostly flowers and such which made her feel good she didn't know why but she liked the feeling
She got over to the edge of the bed and was about to jump down when she suddently felt very nervous what was outside her canopy bed? would it be nice? would there be things that wanted to hurt her? would she find other things like her? she became very hesitant about jumping down but because she was stand on the edge and not paying attention she lost her footing and ended up falling off the bed
Surprisingly though she landed on her hooves which made a kinda loud sound how she did it she didn't know but was glad she didn't land on her belly or back for a moment she just scanned the darkness with her eyes until her eyes came upon the door which was slightly open she could see a soft faint light comming from the open door and tilted her head to the side a light that must mean there are other things around her
With that thought she started getting the nervous feeling in the pit of her stoumich again and almost didn't want to move but she was starting to get curious and finally after a few minutes got up the courage to head over to the door her hooves making a faint tapping noise
When she got to the door she nudged it open alittle more with her nose and saw the light was stronger down the hall again she got the nervous feeling but she took a deep breath and headed towards the light slowly and as quietly as she could when she got to the door she found it was open all the way and heard voices which made her start shaking alittle but she wanted to see what was in the room so after she got her courage back up she slowly and quietly poked her head through the door hoping whatever was in the room wouldn't notice her

Jaine watched the show quietly this Percy seemed to have contact with Kael and was in his service hopefully he would not cause problems. At the pause Jaine glanced over and gestured slightly she had nothing more to add for the moment. Much of what she would have need for would have be brought in. Her gaze shifted over to the various potion supplies that had been brought in - they did appear usable but to create a ready stock they would need more components.
The sound from the teapot caused her to turn looking over at it with a bit of curiousity. "The question is what is in your teapot..." shifting her gaze she looked back to Kael. Then stepping forward she moved toward the noise, wrinkling her brow she started reaching out but then glanced to Kael. Perhaps he'd want to open the teapot to figure out what was inside. Her attention on the teapot she didn't notice the new arrival.
