Hey,

I'm a IT stuck here on Oahu for over a year. Heck, going on two at this point. On a oh so lovely 3 year tour, shore command. I was wondering if anyone else was here? I'm just bored here for the time being, and could use some get-up-and-go sometimes.

I have a son too, a real ham for the ladies, 3 months old. <3

i am also stuck on said rock and have been for 3 years now and one more atleast to go. but mine is a sea command.

i like hopw every body makes the place seem borring. i loved it when my dad was stationed there and hated havong to leave when he go ttransfered.

I'm a east-coast born and raised New Yorker (State not city) so Hawaii is a major change. I don't like it that much, but it's a preference thing really.

Yeah, I'm a ITSN (almost IT3 - Waiting on results even though our rate is like 99.7% pass to E-4).

I leave here July 2011. Think I'm going to Bahrain next if I can pull orders there.

I think Hawaii is completely different if you're younger and with your parents when they're the ones stationed there instead of you.

I too am stuck on that rock. Right now I am home on leave (thankfully) and I am leaving that place permanently in December!!! biggrin WEEEEEEE!!! I can't wait, it's so funny cause I'm getting New Mexico and all excited for that over Hawaii... but that's ok cause I think I'll hate my job less AND it's closer to home.

Uber late response:

I'm on a 3 year billet here so alas...no new order picking until November of 2010. I haven't been on leave since god...February I believe and even then I went to Norfolk (yes - I'm that insane) to visit A school and boot camp friends and didn't go home (NY). I've gotta' go home eventually, it's just a big step to visit the folks at home when you haven't seen them in years and you're now married with a child. xD
