 This is Emerald Haven, our manor. From the outside, it doesn't look like it would hold much, right? Well, the inside is very spacious, with many rooms, all magicked to be much bigger than they appear. This is the perfect home for all who live here, and considering that we've packed three families worth of people and animal companions into the manor, that's saying something. The grounds around the manor are huge, and nature takes care of its own here. The grass is always green, and the trees provide enough shade for any animals we own as well as providing nice spots for everyone to rest under when they get tired. It is all very picturesque.
Emerald Haven is unplottable, and has many magical defenses around it. These include a charm that, if anyone gets too close to finding the manor, they remember appointments or important errands that they have forgotten. Another one is a charm that, unless the address is given to you, you won't be able to find the manor. Yet another makes sure you won't see the house's occupants unless you are knowledgable of the manor's location, even if you peek into a window.
As an added bonus, House Elves decided that the manor would be a lovely home in which to raise their own children, should they have any. Until then, Emme and Faene have pledged their loyalty and hard work to our family. They are well cared for, and for this they feel the need to work double what is expected. As a result the manor is spotless, and wonderful meals are prepared for the family. I grew up with Emme and Faene always being around the manor, and I can't imagine what life would be without them. They really are a part of our family.
My mums long ago converted the pond in front of our home into a rather large koi pond. Mum Lenore enchanted it so predators cannot get to it. I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with the fact that it's become a place of great activity for the manor's residents, particularly for Vinyn.
Here are the koi. They were all named by my mums for Fa'e that they know. One is even named after Nyoka. I never did ask her how she felt about that. Maybe I will the next time she comes home from Greece.
My family owns the entire valley that surrounds the manor, which has a thick network of trees, grasslands, and brush which Mum Lenore discovered through geographical research was named the 'Emerald Forest' over ten decades prior to their purchase of the area. Of course that title influenced the name of the manor, out of respect for the natural surroundings that we have gone to great pains to preserve.
I wouldn't recommend anyone attempting trespassing, poaching, chopping down trees, or anything else along those lines in the Emerald Forest. Why? In the time that Emerald Haven has been established, which is what we call the entire estate instead of just the manor, our families have been joined by two others, and that's just covering those that live within the manor itself. The forest is now populated by two elven villages, a temple to Eilistraee, a cottage built relatively close to the manor, and a growing settlement at the edge of the Skyshorn mountains that rim the forest's perimeter. That isn't mentioning the herd of centaurs that has taken up the guarding of the forest. They call themselves the 'Lights of the Night', and are led by a male named Uleme and his lifemate, Py'via. Mum Eirnae has known Py'via since she was a little thing, and was even the one who gave her the name of 'Lucky Sapphire'.

This is the living room. A lot of things have been put into storage after Lenore's death, but there were a few things that stayed. As with most of the rooms that Lenore designed, they are quite spartan now because of the memories that certain items bring up.

This is the wine cellar - it's very close to Nyoka's basement bedroom. Mum Lenore used to entertain company down there, and they'd sometimes have parties, which is why there is a lot of empty space - it was used as a make shift dance floor. There is a lot of elven wine down there, which is some of the most potent stuff that I've ever hand, and some other kinds of spirits. It doesn't get used much anymore....

This is the layout of Minuialwen's rooms in the manor. She has her own, large bathroom, a leisure room where she studies, reads, and relaxes, and her bedroom with a desk and computer for further studying.

Just a little more detail of her bedroom area. She's spent many a night in the manor, as sometimes she stays over instead of heading home to her father's place. It's almost identical to her room at her father's place, except that it is far more spacious, and she doesn't have a little area to just lounge around in.

Likes: My sister, Nyoka, always likes to joke that I am on an 'endless quest for knowledge', and she might be right. I am always researching or reading. In the past, that was all I was interested in doing. Now, I have learned there is no better way to learn about things unless you experience them. While I still enjoy a good book or holing up in the study to read about new things, I am actively trying to get out there and experience them for myself. I always set aside a few hours of my day for training (while out with my moon elven brethren - the Teu'Tel'Quessir - they helped me learn which path would suit me best, and that is the path of the 'Swordmage'), whether it be with my swords, Naerdiel and Bregolien, or with my wand and magic. I love the night, being outside under the moon's light and looking up at the sky full of stars, and it is my favorite time of day to do my hour long meditation (this is done to repair the damage to my swords and further solidify the link that I have with them), and the natural time for me to send my prayers up and worship my chosen goddess, Sehanine (the elven goddess of the moons). While I have a natural love of learning languages, sadly I have only been able to grasp Common, Draconic, Elven, Sylvan, Drow, and Greek. I also like the feel of soft, rich fabrics (silk, velvet, fine cotton, but - most especially - rich elven weaves), and I prefer to dress in the manner of the Teu'Tel'Quessir (this includes simple cuts with rich, brightly colored textiles with elaborate embroidery). But, the thing I love the most is to be in the company of those that I care about (my family, my best friend (and, still a member of my family) Tinania, and anyone else whom I call friend).
Dislikes: I really hate it when others judge anyone based on how they look and jump to false conclusions, or when those who meet me for the first time notice my scales above all else. I don't like seeing those I care about upset, and I'll try to fix it one way or another.
Unique Powers/Talents: Some say that I have a magical calling. It's a part of my heritage from both my mums. My Mum Lenore has seen to my training in her version of magic, far enough that I've taken up more complicated spells and potions. I've poured through all of the books I could find on Blade Singers and their mythos. Mum Eirnae has been true to her word about telling me as much as she can remember about them. However, since then I have decided on what my true calling is, the swordmage, and am working diligently to get better at it. After all, my mums say I'm a quick study, so perhaps that will help me get through it. I also seem to share my Mum Lenore's talent for being a Parselmouth, not that I really wanted the skill.
Currently: Moving on with life, helping to raise his younger sisters.

Appearance: Lenore has a thin, curvy frame (think of the actress Rose McGowan). Her eyes are amber, with serpentine slits, and are heavy-lidded. She has dark green, manicured, angled eyebrows that give her somewhat of an 'evil' appearance. Her nose is barely there, with snake-like slits for nostrils that tilt upward on the outer ends. Her skin is white with green scales on the backs of her hands and her arms. Lenore's straight, thick, bright green hair is cropped short, with long bangs to one side that are always covering one of her eyes. She wears her sunglasses whenever the sun is out, and never wears any other colors than green, silver/gray, black, and occasionally purple. Due to a magic spell gone wrong, thanks to Damien when he was younger, she now sports a long devil tail and long, pointed horns. She has several tattoos all over her body, and some piercings.
Tattoos and Piercings: Lenore has a light blue, cresent moon on her right shoulder, and a sillhouette of Eirnae dancing, nude, on her left arm - soon to be updated. She has raven wings tattooed on most of her back, right over her shoulder blades, and an Aries sign, with green flames on either side of it, tattooed on the small of her back. On her left ankle, there is a black snake tattoed coiling around it, the head on the top of her foot and the tip of the tail resting on her outer calf - about midway up. She has a black widow on her left hip bone, and a silver ankh with a green gem on her upper, left thigh, with the word 'Life' under it. Her piercings iclude the whole of her pointed ears, most black-tinted metal hoops, save for the ones at the tips of her ears. Those usually are black-tinted, metal chains with either cresent moons-, stars-, or tear-drop-cut ambers. She also has a simple, barbell tongue ring toward the tip of her tongue, and an eyebrow ring with an emerald on the bottom ball, pierced into her left eyebrow.

Appearance: Eirnae has wavy dark blond hair that sweeps down to her waist, though recently she's dyed random strands of it either dark blue or black. A pair of small black feathered wings, with one wing to each side of her head, sprouted just before the incident that took her away from her family. These are composed of shadow, and it's unknown why they remain affixed to Eirnae's head despite their being incorporal. Her sea green eyes tilt upwards at their far corners, further marking her for her elven heritage. These are known to mostly glitter with mischief, but they also flare a bright electric green when she's angry. A royal blue gem, oval shaped and as long as the tip of Eirnae's ring finger to the first knuckle while half as wide, is nestled on her forehead where one's spiritual 'third eye' is considered to be. Her build is that of a swordswoman and a dancer, though her true strength is well hidden by her small frame and pleasing curves.
Tattoos: She managed to convince Lenore to do a tattoo on Eirnae's right cheek, and the result was her tiny black cresent moon. Eirnae went to a professional to have her lower back worked on, getting an unusual and intricate pair of hearts that wind together in honor of her and Lenore's relationship. It wasn't till after Lenore left to deal with her father that Eirnae began the blood runes that now extend from her left wrist to the bottom of her corresponding ear. These were tattooed with Itzel's aid, and are intended to protect Eirnae from dark magic.

Rinion Vanafindon Silme (Lenore's half-brother/Damien's uncle): (Rinion is elven form of Steven, which means 'Crown,' and Vanafindon is elven for 'Fair-haired') I have not seen much of Uncle Rinion since he has married Aunt Krista. He is very nice, and a lot like me, actually. He puts high value on manners and family. I enjoy our conversations, when I can pry him away from Aunt Krista. . . . Uncle Rinon lives in the DarkAngel-Silme wing. Krista (Rinion's wife/Tinania's mother/Damien's aunt): Aunt Krista has been a rare constant in my life, more of a surrogate mother than anything else. I've been very fortunate to have her in my life. Ximena Erunanethiel Silme-Aletlar (Lenore's half-sister/Damien's aunt): (Erunanethiel is elven form of Dana, which means 'Mother of all Gods', Aletlar means charmer, leader, seducer) Ximena is quite a woman. . . . She smokes, almost non-stop, drives a Harley, owns a bar, and carries her gun with her at all times. She is combative, and loves to try and get Mum Lenore's back up. The two of them are always bickering in some way, but, underneath it all, I think that they love each other, in their own ways. Aunt Ximena lives just outside of our estate.

Melantha (Lenore's wife/Damien's step-mother): Mel has been every bit a mother to me that mum Lenore has. I care about her as if she were my mother, and would do anything for her, just as I would for any other member of my family. Tinania (Krista's daughter/Damien's cousin and best friend): Nani is my closest friend. I know that, no matter what I do, she will stand behind me, she will always be there for me. I love her like a sister, and can be a bit protective of her ... but that's what's expected of brothers, right?   My two mums, looking very happy indeed. Whenever I look at this picture, I try to imagine what their relationship was like back then.
This is one of the pictures that makes my mums melt like Emme melts butter in a pan. I guess I just don't see it the same as they do.
I remember the first time I got dressed by myself. It's actually kind of hard to forget, with the picture of that outfit right here in the album.
This picture only serves to remind me of the days Mum Eirnae was missing. I know there should be more to it than that, but there isn't. I've lost track of how many times I wondered if it was because of me that she left, if I could of said something different to change things.
So much has changed since I got taller. The fights with Nani, my relationship with Rhi, getting to know Surion, and Mum Eirnae coming back into our lives. That's not counting my bond with my familiar, Kamus. So much more to report on this time of my life....
A lot has changed since I wrote in this photo album. My Mum Lenore died, the bond between Naerdiel, Bregolien (my swords, in case there is any confusion), and myself grew, I learned more about my heritage, and I started the journey down a path of my choosing, one that I think can satisfy all the races that run through my veins, not to mention make good use of the abilities that come with them. My Mum Eirnae has gone, again, but I have resigned to the fact that she might not have been meant to be in my life as much as she might have liked. I have two younger siblings, Nyoka disappeared, and so much more! But, this was not meant to be a journal entry...

Phaerna (Zhane's sister): She seems really shy, actually reminds me of myself a few years ago in that respect. But, I think that with a little time, she'll get more comfortable with ... well, everyone, and she might pry herself out of her shell. At least, that is my hope. Rhi (Damien's ex-fiance): I've ... got a lot of regret where she is concerned. I do hope she is going well, wherever she is, though.... Laerwen (Damien's ex-girlfriend): Laerwen and I met while I was away from home. She's stayed in my life since then, and has proven to be somewhat of a challenge at times.... Jez (Nyoka's new Guardian): Information pending.... Raven (Acquaintance): I met her once while out shopping. She seemed like a very sweet girl, and I once thought we could become friends.   This is Eira, a Mii with determination and cuteness that rivals most Kiri. She was present when Damien was born and since has taken a keen interest in his development. Though she is bonded to Eirnae, she seems to have taken up the task of watching over 'Mien when Eirnae cannot, going so far as to become his close friend and constant companion. She is less than a foot tall, but has an impressive wingspan of a little more than three and a half feet. Despite her size, she can be pretty intimidating at times. Kamus and her are nuetral towards one another. She calls him a stick in the mud, and he seems to regard her as a flighty nuisance, but they don't argue unless it's over possession of Damien's attention for long periods of time. She does not get along well with Harry at all, as she sees him as a bad influence for Damien. For Damien's sake, however, she tolerates 'Hairy'.
Kamus remained inside his egg for so long, we had given up on him ever being born. Leave it to Shina to realize that he was waiting for Damien to summon him. Once Damien finished the ritual circle to call his familiar to his side, Kamus smashed through his egg fully grown, and completely devoted to Damien from the start. Ever since Kamus was born, if you could call it that, Damien's magical energies have increased. Well, the spell did say that was one of the desired effects of having a familiar. We just hope Damien doesn't end up burning a hole through something irreplacable while he's adjusting to the change.
This is Harry. He was a wonderful present for Damien from Dr. Kamiki. His eating habits run parallel to Nyoka's, which means only raw meat. He growls at the thought of vegetables, and turns up his nose at any pet food we bring home for him. He still stalks Damien whenever he isn't chasing Eira about or trying to harass the koi in the pond. Eira finds him an excellant target for the occasional prank.
Peridot is quite the beauty, and still perches on everything. She doesn't seem to care what it is. Amethyst, Ernia's Gembird, terrorizes the poor girl. Amethyst seems to have a thing for shiny things, and he managed to pluck one of Peridot's feathers from her long ago. She doesn't socialize with the family much beyond Damien. Sometimes we mistake her for a decorative piece of furniture till she moves.
This little guy was gifted to Damien by Kinari and Penelope. He was named by Vinyn before Damien thought up one himself, though we still aren't sure what the bird thinks of being called 'Grape'.

   A light to read and write by, a journal to organize my thoughts, and a writing quill to put those thoughts onto paper. The lava lamp and diary were gifts from Rhiannon, while the quill just showed up on my desk one day.
 
Both of these stay on the small shelf above my desk, just so I can look up and see them when I want to. The dragon plushie holds magic within it, a little of every element. The tiny robotic cherries were a gift from Rhiannon, and I can't help but smile when I wind them up to watch them kiss. I know that's sentimental of me, but I can't help it.
This is one of my favorite belongings, and I use it to fasten my cloaks often. It is enchanted to keep my cloak clean and dry, no matter the weather. I have an Akina Tokuwa to thank for this gift, and Mum Eirnae says she'll be glad to introduce us.
Of all the things I own, my wand is the one that I have with me at all times. The funds for its creation were supplied by my Aunt Krista, and I'll always be grateful for that. This is the tool that serves me the most, acting as a focus for my magic in all things.
The moment Shina handed me this pair of short swords, saying that they were a gift from Mum Eirnae, I heard two voices in my head. Ever since then, I wonder what would of happened if I handed them right back to Shina before the voices became clearer. Of course I didn't, being too curious about the magic coming off of the swords as well as the voices. Now these two are bound to me, and I to them. They chatter like brother and sister, and for all I know they are.
Rhiannon mailed me this rapier, which I have yet to find the perfect name for. Thank the Lady the blessed thing doesn't talk!
 
Don't laugh, but I got hooked on the first scent I remember smelling burning on this incense holder. It's called dragon's blood, and I like to keep a small stash tucked away in my room. I hung the dreamcatcher Shina made for me over my bed once I grew out of my crib, and it's been there ever since. I find it especially comforting since Shina used her own feathers as a part of the tassles.
   
You never know when you'll need something to write with, though I've gone through many a pencil and eraser since I got the original ones from my parents. The colored pens were a gift from Aunt Cyoro in the hope that I'd be interested in taking up art. So far, I haven't really taken the time to learn to use them properly.

The first of these was a gift from Draconayzia, and for the life of me I still cannot figure out how the ferret inside is still alive. I can't get the damn thing open to feed him, so it it must be magic of some sort. The green was a gift from Kinari and her Zephirae daughter, Penelope. The other three were given to me by Mum Eirnae after her return. The green, blue, orange, and purple all store elemental energies within them, and I believe I can tap into them with the right sort of magic.
 
    
I've also never met the woman Mum Eirnae says she nearly fell in love with before she met Mum Lenore, though Shina told me that she remembers her quite well and even misses her. These two collections I planned to add on to at one point, now they sit on their shelves only to be dusted when chores roll around.
   
  
 
I keep these in a glass covered shelf unit now. My mums bought them before they knew if I'd be a girl or a boy. I've never played with them before, so they are in pristine condition.
  
   
These plushies sit on a shelf in my room. I really don't get what my family likes about stuffed animals, though I suppose they are cute. My mums told me that a woman named Matisha gave me the black cat, Ahlian the green teddy bear, Lady Kaioto gifted me with the small doll in the snake costume, Sundragyn the green cat, the green dragon was from Draconayzia, the small black dragon from someone called Idymorgan. The last one is a waterproof crab that the then Guardian of Rune, one of the Fa'e, gave to me to be used as a toy in the tub. I never did, but maybe I can pass it on if I ever have kids, just like the rest of these toys.
 
This was my very first blanket, and will always have a special place in my heart and memory. I never met Dr. Flaeymes, but Mum Eirnae speaks of her fondly as an old friend from the days when she worked at the Ava Raji Center.
