Summary: making your simfiles 300 bpm is extremely retarded. Max 300 isn't even 300 bpm (musically, it's closer to 150).
+50 retard points if that 300 bpm is on a Eurobeat song. I haven't seen any eurobeat songs that've gotten these bonus retard points. But it's retarded anyway.
ne1 else get it? smile

1un4r5h4d0w Max 300 is 300 bpm because the 300 is from the synth notes being played repeadly in the background through the majority of the song rather than the drum beat that is ever prevalent and changing through the song. Why the synth note? Because while the drum is normally a supporting instrument in most songs, not all songs use the drum to keep the beat. Fixed. I think the major problem is that the majority of sim file creators don't really have a strong background in music theory so steps and bpms are always a little funky. But that's ok, we learn over time like with the case of eurobeat songs, yes they tend to be slower bpm-wise but some creators will focus on the wrong instrument being played to judge the speed. It happens, I remember a fellow over on DDRManiax trying to get the beat for a song where it was either in the 130s or the 190s depending on what element of the song he focused on. To the OP, relax and let the creator know their folly and be on your merry way.
