Physical Description:
Lerato was born in Greece, but spent most of his life traveling the world. He stands six feet tall and two hundred and fifty pounds with a fairly muscular build. His skin has a light olive coloring to it which stands in bright contrast to his magnificently blue eyes. His silver hair usually falls to his shoulders, though he has been known to go on rants about it falling into his face. After his rants he cuts his hair off. He is a strong bodied individual who tends to demand respect from everyone regardless of their status. Though sometimes overly cocky in his movements, they are always powerful, swift, and precise. Since he is fresh out of the academy he tends to wear the usual attire of the shinigami, though he has been known to wear a light blue color scheme

Sealed State:.jpg]Zanpukato. Yes I realize this is a picture of Ichigo’s Bankai, but it was the closest thing to it I could find. The main difference is Lerato’s zanpukato has a crimson colored blade. The tsuka is purple, with a crimson diamond pattern. The tsuba is ruby red with a rose pattern. The saya is crimson with a deep purple rose pattern etched into it. Over all, his zanpukato is 52” long. The blade itself is 65” and the hilt is 13” long. At the base of the blade and Saya are two identical roses An odd quirk about his zanpukato is that it sings, nearly constantly, since he discovered it.
Spirit: Youkou Kaichou
Inner World: An calm ocean that you can stand on and watch as fish and other sea creatures pass underneath you. The water has blood red and white roses floating in it. There are hardly ever clouds in the sky, and it is always night meaning you can see all the stars that speckle the sky. The earth is in clear view to one side, while the moon is in clear view on the other, yet the sun is no where to be found. Basically if you look at the picture of my spirit, the background is his Inner World.

Name: Youkou Kaichou (Crimson Melody)
Release Phrase: Omae o sono chikouu, Youkou Kaichou! (Sing in the blood rainfall, Crimson Melody!)
Description: .jpg]Zanpukato. There are two main differences between the sealed state and shikai. First, once his shikai is activated, the blade duplicates itself and then they are pulled from each other, giving Lerato two blades with which to attack. However, when they are copied the hilt on each blade shrinks to 8”. The other difference between the shikai form and the sealed form are the small roses on the blade and saya slowly turn purple as more blood is offered to the spirit indicating a more powerful shikai.It sings, like it does in its sealed state, but when it's in shikai it is able to be heard from a mile away. This singing seems to imobilize lesser hollows and allows protection from all sound based attacks.
Youkou Kaichou, in a nutshell, utilizes neurotoxins and sound tones, frequencies, and volumes to affect the body, causing great pain, damage, and psychological hallucinations. The more blood that is offered to the spirit, the more powerful the shikai’s abilities become. Lerato can save up the blood the spirit is offered by refusing to call out his shikai, but once he does the blood is drained and he must start over to call out his shikai once more.
Shikai-Specific Abilities
Tetsu kara Jitsuzai (Hide from existence): An ability that completely masks the users appearance, reiatsu and all.
Paralyze them: The zanpukato releases a tone that paralyzes an opponent. The paralyzing affects vary in duration length and the strength depending on the strength of the opponent, Lerato’s built up reiatsu, and how much blood is given to initiate shikai.
Senpou Shinkei Kashou (Burn their nerves): Uses both a neurotoxin and a high pitch, high frequency tone to make the opponents nerves become super sensitive. This makes it seem as though even the weight of their own reiatsu is unbearable and causes them excruciating pain. It also makes it damn near impossible to see because their optic nerves are so sensitive to the light, changes in contrast ect. The effects of the neurotoxin and sound vary in duration length and the strength depending on the strength of the opponent, Lerato’s built up reiatsu, and how much blood is given to initiate shikai.
Senpou Omoide Henjou (Let loose their memories): A cocktail of neurotoxins forces his opponent to relive the most horrible of their memories by forcing their repressed memories to take dominance over their conscious mind, making them live a constant illusion until the ability is called back. Can be a seriously crippling technique to use depending on the person who it is used against. (The technique works best on arrancar who have some sort of compassion, hollows up to a menos grande class and rouge shinigami) The effects of the neurotoxins vary in duration length and the strength depending on the strength of the opponent, Lerato’s built up reiatsu, and how much blood is given to initiate shikai.
** Since the main effects of his zanpukato are caused by a cloud of Neurotoxins, those that are adept in sonido and shunpo or any other sort of technique can outrun the cloud of Neurotoxins for some time until they either disappait into the atmosphere (about 5-6 posts) or if they had accomplished Hado 58 they could physically blow away the attacks. Sonido and Shunpo speeds should be of about a fourth seat or a highly trained fifth seat.
:Bankai: Not Yet Achieved
Name: Sakkyokusha no Kayou Aka (Composer of the Bloody Ballad)
Release Phrase: Omae kayou aka taishite issai kiku! Bankai! (Sing your bloody ballad for all to hear! Bankai!)
Description: A wave of blood encompasses him and when it subsides he is garbed in red loose fitting pants as well as a red trench coat. Much like this minus the guns and the leather vest. He has the leather boots, but they are smaller, only going mid-way up his calf. The actual blades of his zanpukato remains the same as they are in shikai, which conserves his energy and the blood that it consumes, allowing him to stay in bankai longer then others that are at his same skill level. During this release, like all the other states, his zanpukato sings, but it is so loud in bankai that it is able to be heard from several miles away. This singing is able to immobilize lesser hollows, as well as signifigantly slow down the moves of others. The higher their power, the less effect the singing has on them. The singing also protects from other sound based attacks.
Bankai-Specific Abilities
Nasu Senpou Aka (Make them bloody): A cocktail of neurotoxins and frequencies attack the opponents mind and body. This move makes the opponent bleed from all orifices once they are called upon. (So if they were to concentrate on looking at something their eyes would bleed, if they were to listen intently then they would bleed from their ears, if they were to try and speak to summon their zanpukato or the like they would start to bleed from their mouth.) The effects of the neurotoxins and sounds vary in duration length and the strength depending on the strength of the opponent, Lerato’s built up reiatsu, and how much blood is given to initiate bankai.
Tobitatsu sono Gasshou (Start up the Chorus): A (passive) technique that soaks up all of the blood on the battle feild regardless of how close it is. This blood is then sacraficed to the zanpukato to feed it's moves and make them far stronger. Depending on the type of blood it soaks up, the attacks can gain various quirks in appearence such as a change in color, or even strength.
Saishuu Heimaku (Falling of the Final Curtain): Releases a very loud, very low frequency tone with every step that he takes. This technique works especially well when it's partnered with the use of shunpo because it allows the user to move at mind boggling speed as well as knock the opponents vision and other senses array.

Special Accessories:
A ring that is a reiatsu copy of one that his father gave to him while they were both alive. He keeps it even now as a constant reminder of the things he had to go through. It fills him with hope when no other hope can be seen. A reminder of his morals and ethics, it can be said that this ring keeps him both sane and under control when he gets angry. He keeps the ring on a chain which hangs on his neck at all times.
Skills:
He’s an incredibly fast learner. He was one of the strongest in his class at the academy, as well as one of the fastest, but he always lacked concentration which affected his usage of Kido. When he was alive he practiced all forms of martial arts, but once he passed on they all seemed to blend together. He can go for days without sleep because he tends to meditate when ever there is a moment that he isn’t with others. He also practices gymnastics.
Abilities:
He has extraordinarily high reiatsu detection. It’s been that way since he was born. People often called him crazy because he saw people who had died. They also thought he was extremely clumsy, which is correct to a point. He was able to see his soul ribbon and the soul chains of those who were on their last leg. They were what he was constantly tripping over. While at the academy he learned the required Kido, though once he graduated he only bothered practicing those he found useful and forgot the rest. He's also an excellent swordsman.
Personality:
Lerato can be cocky because he was one of the higher students in his class, however that does not mean he is arrogant. He’s friendly, and loves to entertain people. He also loves a challenge which means he will usually seek out fights with seated members just so he can try to improve his own fighting. He also likes to hang around the captains so he can just listen to them. He has always believed that those who hold authority over you hold it for a reason, because they are stronger but more importantly, because they are wiser. When in training or in battle he is very serious and will do what ever it takes to win in the long run, even if it means pulling out before the battle is over. He is fiercely loyal and will never leave someone behind, even if that person is believed to be ‘lower’ or the enemy. He refuses to kill anyone, unless it’s a lower ranking hollow that doesn’t have the intelligence enough to submit. Otherwise he believes all intelligent beings disserve to live, regardless of their past crimes.
Biography/History:
Living History:
Lerato was born just outside of Athens, Greece. However, he and his parents moved shortly after his second birthday and started traveling the world. During his childhood he lived in Italy, France, and Germany. Once he was five years old when his parents moved to the orient and he started to learn various martial arts. Eight
years of tedious training later and he was told that he had learned all that he was going to from the masters, and that the rest would come from practice, and meditation. On his way home he saw animals frantically running for shelter. When he had reached his home in the village he was devastated to find it up in flame. A lone tear ran down his cheek as he watched the flames engulf his very being. Everything had been taken from him now… everything but the ring his father had given him on his tenth birthday. He decided from that point on he would travel the world and defend people.
After the death of his parents he flew to the only family he knew so he could live with them, his aunt and uncle in America. It had taken him all the money his parents had left in a trust fund, and a lot of talking for him to be able to make it, but he ended up successful. It was soon after that he started his new life of protection. It was far from easy sailing though since odd occurrences kept happening around him. He started hearing and seeing the deceased. He told his uncle this but was only met with laughter, then concern which led to him being sent to an insane asylum. A year later he was released, though the sights and sounds didn’t leave. On top of that people started seeing him as the clumsy insane kid. He would always be falling over something that other people wouldn’t see, chains connected to people’s chests and ribbons that were suspended from the sky and hung to the ground. Because of this he didn’t have many friends, and he wouldn’t make any of the sports teams despite his obvious athletic stature. Then, a few weeks after his sixteenth birthday, a few kids at his school brought guns. They were terrorizing the other students, killing them without mercy. After ten minutes the students made their way to where Lerato’s class was. They proceeded to kick down the door, but by this time Lerato was to his feet and was charging at the students. He was shot five times before he fell. Lerato fell to his knees, the only thing keeping him up still was the adrenaline which pumped through his veins which refused for him to die. In one last delusional effort for justice, Lerato pulled the silk ribbons that hung loosely around the culprits, ripping the ribbons in two. Lerato died that afternoon from severe gunshot trauma and loss of blood; the two students also died that night, though the cause still remains unknown.
Soul Society history:
Lerato awoke after what seemed like an eternity in a place foreign to him. Strangers surrounded him on both sides, gawking at him like he was some kind of mutant. “Do you mind?” He asked, sitting up. He felt strange, lighter, and much hungrier then he should have been. The clothes he had died with were gone, replaced by rags that looked to be better suited for someone from Feudal Japan. It only took a few days of him eating the district out of house and home for his ‘family’ to tell him to go to the Sereitei. Once there he explained his situation to the gate-keeper and was escorted to the Shinigami Academy.
Since that time he has risen through the ranks to become the lieutenant of first squad, an honor that he holds in the highest regard.
