please post "Oblivion Vs. Fallout 3" thoughts or ways they could be better

I liked them both, but there just wasn't enough to Fallout 3. The main questline took me only a few hours, and there weren't enough sidequests to keep me playing. I wound up trading it in.

I have over 150 hours logged into Oblivion, and I would rather lose a foot than trade it in.

I can't pick! Oblivion had the 100% Chameleon suit, swords, spells, and lots of City guards for me to murder. Oh, and the Shivering Isles. The only real problems I have are the leveling system that allows you to master everything and that most of the land looks almost identical to the rest of it.

Fallout 3 has guns, perks, Dogmeat, and you can't be perfect (unless you take that perk from Broken Steal. Bastards). However, melee is pointless because of the abundance of ammo, rampant landscape glitches, and it's too easy to get massive amounts of caps after level 15.

Both games have crash bugs that irritate the hell out of me. But that's what the save function is for, huh?

Neither are perfect but they come close. Who cares which one is better, let's just cut/blow/shoot/fireball stuff up!

I think I might pick up another copy of Fallout 3 and give it another try.

I prefer Oblivion...
I didn't like that when you had finished the main quest in Fallout *spoiler*You died.*spoiler end*

Also I'm not a big fan of post apocalyptic story lines other than that I really enjoyed playing it...but I've played Oblivion over and over. 3nodding

@ XxBangbang.im.a.banditxX - They are bringing out the expansion packs on Fallout 3 now I believe, which should add some more interest to the game. smile

Well, I wouldnt choose. They are both good in their own ways. Fallout 3 is interesting the way EVERYTHING is blown up lol and its a shooting game thats all there is to it. But oblivion is fun because there are so many funny glitches and its simply a fantasy game. there different genres.

heh u dont know me

Both Oblivion and Fallout were very amazing games but if I had to choose its Fallout. Oblivion is a fun fighting fantasy but Oblivion is kind of like normal times in a way and you have guns and bombs and its so amazing.*spoiler* What is more fun then blowing up a crappy a** town?

they are both incrdeible games and both have their pros and cons, both of them appeal to me becus i love fallout's post-apocolyptic feel, and i love oblivion's fantasy theme, i just hope that the next games to come out for these two series will be improved and hav some new features to them

i effing love oblivion i cant get enough of being invisble and just shocking the shizznight out of every one. The thing is i just got fallout and im liking because it has a familiar feel like oblivion but ive pesonally never played this kind of topic. Never played post apoctoliptic. So its like a comfortable feel but all new lol. i like it so far but only have played alittle bit lol

I played both games and enjoy both I'll admit. See the thing is they're both different games and are set in different times so making an opinion is hard. They both have their perks and faults. But personally I loved playing both of them. Although I noticed I made a new character a couple times in Fallout 3 to just run through it differently. Like with karma or perks. Oblivion is fun though because in one run of the game as one character you can do everything there is to do in the game. Join every Guild, do every skill, learn spells if you want on a warrior. Even if stuff isn't a major skill you can still do it.

I like them both though.

I'm a fan of both and I can't really decide on which one to choose but i'm more of leaning to Oblivion cuz i love the fantasy genre of stuff.

If you like the post-apocalyptic feel you should play Metro 2033
Now on topic I love both games so much (I've put about 1,000 hours into both) and I can't wait for Fallout New Vegas and it's not being made by Bethesda (being published by them but not made) it's being made by Obsidian Entertainment (but they say they will keep it a lot like fallout 3) Bethesda say it's because they have other projects to work on... could it be a new Elder Scrolls? I hope so!

Back in October of 2008, Bethesda had claimed to be working on a new Elder Scrolls game and it was thought to be slated for 2010 - however, there has not been any more news or an official announcement made since. I can only hope that we will see a new Elder Scrolls game by the end of this year, but we will just have to wait and see.
