Callie was finally free for once of her adopted family. The Goddess knew she loved them, but sometimes...sometimes they got on her nerves. Rajani was a sweet mare and an excellent adopted mother, but all the attention was a bit smothering. Naoise was alright, he was just a little too laid back for her taste. Gardenia....frankly annoyed her with all the pining she did for the stallion that was Naoise's father. She was happy to be out exploring the forest alone.

The day seemed not too unlike any other, though she was far less hungry. Thin trails of blood still streaked her muzzle from her latest kill. The pale colored mare laid in a small clearing letting the sun shine down upon her back. Butterfly wings were fanned out at her side exposing the emerald green colored scales that lined her back. Yes, today was a good day to the mare, a good hunt and feast. Pale eyes were closed for the moment, but her ears pivoted from side to side listening. She could feel that someone else was out there, some distance away, but no where close enough to be of any bother. Itzel gave a sigh pulling her wings back to their normal position before slipping to lay on her side. A nap seemed good right now, but that foreboding feeling still itched at her conscious...

Calfuray had always been a curious filly and that had hardly changed as she got older. Sniffing the air, she followed the scent of something strange to a small clearing. There she stumbled on another mare. She was pretty with butterfly wings sprouting from her back. Callie paused, not wanting to be rude.

"Ummm...hello there," she called out lamely.

Groggy at best, Itzel lifted her head as someone had said something, or she thought she heard someone say something. Glancing around awkwardly, she laid eyes on the strange mare that was standing not too far away. If Itzel hadn't known any better, she would have thought it was some strange beast, noting the horns and strange contraption around the mare's neck. Not really bothering to get up, she gave the saddest looking smile. "Hi, don't mind me." She said half yawning laying her head back on the ground. "I'm just dozing." Not really, she was looking to full out sleep. Once and a while a wing would straighten itself into the air before laying flat against the other.

Callie looked horrified. She had interrupted someone's sleep! Looking around, she tried to creep back out of the area. Unfortunately, every step she took a twig broke under her hooves. She winced and stopped moving, "Sorry." She whispered in a 'please don't kill me' tone of voice.

An ear flicked with every little twig snap and hoof fall before Itzel finally groaned and rolled over to pull herself to her own hooves. She had gorged too much on her last kill, well the kill she had acquired with a little help. Her belly was still bulging beyond it's normal limits. Her wings fluttered at her shoulders as she came to sigh.

"Stop apologizing, you haven't done anything wrong." Itzel said, sounding a little annoying. "If you had, I would have let you know. Besides, after eating more then my fill tends to make me want to sleep." Glancing away some, letting her tasseled tail flick groggily behind her.

The white and rainbow colored mare yawned, those too close would smell the reek of flesh and blood. She wasn't any normal Kirin, though she didn't eat those of her own race. Pryrin she was at best, and a ill hunting one at that, she still had to practice her own style of hunting, and also her ambush like the raven mare had taught her. She still felt alienated from her family and trying to find her own way in life.

"You can stop backing away, I won't bite."
