Deep Woods: Borders the great Lake Ha’Tooka. This area is a dark and forbidden area to the Adahy. Dwelling deep in its core lives the outcast race of Adahy named the Di’taki. This race is painted with mutations and disfigurations and is looked down upon. Any Adahy that step near the Deep Woods are usually never heard from again.
This Open RP is for those who have Di'Taki. Adahy will not be found here. If you have any questions, please post them in the main thread.

Birds fluttered amid the dark canopy of the Deep Woods. The chattering of squirrels arguing over nuts filled the air as they raced through the old-growth timber. A blood red Di’Taki pushed through the undergrowth, uncaring of who might be disturbed with his trouncing through the bushes.
Firethorn carried his head high, feeling rather proud of himself. Well, he always felt that way since he knew he was an outstanding specimen for his kind. Let the Adahy think his kind cursed and deformed, he snorted to himself. They had no idea what it was to be a Di’Taki.
Note: Firethorn is an imaginary Di'Taki for this Open RP.

A tree brushed his side and Delirium instinctively hissed. His eyes narrowed angrily and his short tail swatted to and fro. How dare it touch him. Him, one of the most dangerous creature in the forest. A di'taki. Whirling on his back feet away from it, he strode further on his way and payed the incident little mind. His eyes gleamed in the dim light of the woods, eerily illuminating only a portion of his face. Another hiss.
Someone else was nearby.
Slinking low to the ground, Delirium was hardly visible save for his eyes. Another male? He caught a whiff of the scent again. Someone unfamiliar... he had to find them before they found him.

The light clicking of her bone necklace as she strode through the brush of the forest. keeping her head low and eyes open as she scanned the aria. She could tell when there were others in the aria, everything smelt different, and the air felt differently.
Marrowmourn cocked her head sharply to the side, causing the bones to clatter sharply together, her plume of lavender feathers swaying with her movement as she attempted to seek out the others that she knew where in the aria, being cautious, Knowing where they were might help in avoiding them.

Skitter sounds broke the silence of the dark brush. A small head of blue feathers popped up every now and then attempting to see the path before it. Though a part of a feared race this was but a child, one that had a tang of fear on his own lips. Everything was new, strange, and most of the time frightening to him. So no surprise when he found himself nearing three adults he attempted to silence his sounds down to breathing. Nightridge resolved to watch for now and see what manner of folk they were.

There were more? How had he even allowed himself to let his guard down? Delirium cringed back into the shadows, now spotting the vibrantly-colored female as she approached his position. His eyes gleamed as he sought to shrink back from view, wanting that slight bit of upper hand that he would get from being hidden. What if she sought to attack? She couldn't get him if she couldn't see him...
With all his attention on the adult female and male, Delirium hardly noticed as he pressed back... and soon walked right into the little pup hiding much as him. A startled grunt came from his lungs, and he whirled quickly to see what he had hit.
"What do you want?" he grumbled so quietly he almost couldn't hear himself, "You'll blow my cover...

Firethorn continued his noisy sauntering, scattering small critters in his path. Coming to the edge of a small clearing, strange smells brought him to a stop. Lifting his head, Firethorn flared his nostrils to pick up the surrounding scents. There were others about, he mused. Fluffing out his feather and arching his neck, he slowly walked into the clearing.

Well, it wasn't the most elegant of meetings, she had to admit, but it was certainly one way to get the job done. one seemed cautious, wanting to hide even though the carefree youngling managed to get in his way, luckily without getting harmed by mistake. while the other male, not detoured by the idea of been seen. what was clear was his ego allowing him to strut right into the clearing... it was that or he had no idea any of them were there.
Either way, this little gathering was meeting its fascinating beginning, and she had to admit, she had a little more concern for the young male who had gotten underfoot. Marrowmourn lifted her head, shading as many of her eyes as she could with the draping feathers over her forehead. tilting her head softly as she stepped out. closely studying each of the males.

Nightridge squeaked in surprise as the closest male walked into him. He skittered back away from the the adult taking a defensive position for only about a few seconds before covering his head with his paws.
"I didn't mean to...I..I was just hiding..." Nightridge whimpered in a whisper peeking through his claws afraid of what the male might do.

Delirium was almost surprised he had startled the child so. Letting out a soft shushing noise, he motioned for the young one to be quieter. "Ssh," he muttered, eyes glancing quickly to watch the other two before going back to the little one, "Come here and quiet down, then." His attention turned back to the other two, particularly the strutting male, now that what had been a threat had been neutralized. The little one would cause no harm.
He growled a bit without realizing it, eyes narrowing. What on earth was everyone here for?

Firethorn heard scuffling noises to the side, followed by murmured voices. Nothing that sounded threatening and not interesting enough to divert his attention from the black and white female that had just entered the clearing.
A slight breeze carried her scent to him. He shook his feather mane and held his golden tail higher. Firethorn knew she wouldn't be able to resist coming over to talk to him.

Nightridge put his paws on the ground and looked at Delirium. He snapped his jaw shut tight as a sign that he would quite down. He wasn't quite sure about the invite to come to Delirium. Should he trust the older male? Slowly he moved just to the side of him. Nightridge peered through the brush at the two other adults. The strutting male sorta gave Nightridge the willies, like he was looking for a fight or something. When Delirium growled Nightridge's feather ruffled and poofed, either making him look bigger or fluffier, but either way slightly silly. "...What's going on?" Nightridge whispered to Delirium.

Ears twitching softly as she observed the bright feathered male. drawing her stride to a slow stop so that she could stand and stare at him, the other two were out of sight, hid most likley, since she had a feeling that they were still in the aria.
Marrowmourn scanned the bushes before returning her many eyes on the male before her. lifting her head higher and continuing to walk over, having to admit, his feathers were impressive enough to at least greet him. though she said nothing, face dipping slightly as a silent hello.

Delirium did not immediately respond to the young one, watching with more interest as the two moved closer. He stood at length and flicked his short tail, golden eyes gleaming. "Good... quessstion." he finally replied, looking down at the smaller one, "But they look harmlessss enough." A paw lifted to step forward, softly rustling the leaves as he stepped from his hiding place. His head craned ever-so-much to look to the young di'taki, waiting to see if he would follow him or not. He'd feel bad just taking off to leave the poor thing by himself, anyways...
His ears swiveled towards the other two, but he caught no sign of a formal introduction. Still keeping relatively close to the shadows, he moved just a bit closer.

Firethorn watched the female slow to stop and look at him. He could tell she was in awe of his handsomeness by her silent greeting. Her coyness of letting her lavender feathers fall across her white face amused him.
A rustle of leaves of pulled Firethorn's attention from the female. He turned to identify the source of the other scent he had picked up. His spine feathers bristled slightly at the sight of the dark male standing in the shadows.
